"That is indeed a sad story." Davis says with a solem look to the human and horse merged being. "It seems many in this place have had bad things happen to them. I hope the carnaval is helping to keep your spirits up." He offers his own ticket for the ride. "I think that is why many come here after all, to enjoy this merry place and put thoughts of past events behind them."
Diana waves you on to the ride without punching your tickets. "It's the least I can do, for people showing a little kindness and interest around here." The ride is pleasant, though short. The magically animated unicorns offer a surprisingly smooth ride. For a moment, galloping in a circle here in the carnival, you can almost imagine another place, a forever twilight, a realm shaped by emotion and force of will... The impression is gone before you can really get a good glimpse of it.
Calanon seems to calm as they go through with the ride, a smile temporary on his face as it lasts. Once they get off he still has it tugging at his lips. "The feywild indeed touches this place."
"Oh what a wonderful enchanting ride, sitting this glamorous unicorn astride." Viola shouts to her newfound friends, laughing warmly stroking her unicorns mane.
Propelled by magic, mine carts laden with fairgoers trundle into an opening carved like a dragon’s mouth. The carts reappear moments later on the far side of the attraction, with the passengers expressing a mixture of bewilderment, fear, and excitement.
Near the entrance a male dwarf dressed like a wizard shouts, “unlock the mysteries of your mind in the Mystery mine!” He has bushy eyebrows, wears a pointy hat, and holds a large clockwork contraption shaped like a giant eye.
"Good evening Sir, is here were we start if we want to go on a mystery cart?" Viola asks the dwarf as she reaches the attraction, presenting her two-punched ticket.
Pal will smile and excitedly approach the wizard, "Do you know the Plane Shift spell? Can you teach me? What is that object you're holding? Is it your spellcasting focus? How interesting!"
Davis awaits patiently for the dwarf to answer his companions questions. when available he will offer his ticket for a punch, ready to go on another ride.
“I, Zephixo, cannot teach you that spell. But I can show you this object, a device of my own design. I call it the All-Seeing Eye! Just step right up and gaze into it, if you dare, and I dare say your journey through the Mystery Mine will be an unforgettable one. You may also enter the mine without gazing, of course. Either way, it costs a ticket punch!”
He proffers the large eye contraption before you. Apparently you can look into the pupil of the clockwork eye. He also holds his ticket punch at the ready.
"You present me, my friend, with a dare, oh my, of course I'll gaze into your All-Seeing eye." Viola rhymes to Zephixo, never a cautious one, and gazes into his contraption.
Calanon being curious about the eye will move to look into it when he is given a chance, making sure to hold out his ticket to be punched once he moves to step into the cart and enter the mine.

You find yourselves grouped near Diana, the ride is over, she is accepting tickets from the next group of carnival-goers. What next?
"Mystery Mine anyone?" offers Pal.
"Yes, my friend, that will be fine
let's go and visit the Mystery Mine."
Viola rhymes and dances away with Pal towards the next attraction.

After letting those ahead of him pick, Davis would indeed look through this eye contraption, not wishing to miss any part of the carnaval.

[ those who look into the eye are supposed to let me know what their character fears ]
Viola fears boredom more than anything else, and that is why she was never being boring.
Davis is afraid of heights.
Pal will gaze deeply into the All-Seeing-Eye of Zephixo.
Pal fears never being able to return to his home in the Feywild.
