As expected, the Xorn reappears from the ground to attack Kairus. Despite the trio's full awareness of the monster's tactics, they still can't tell the exact angle of approach or timing of the first attack.
-> Bite vs. Kairus (unseen): Attack: 24 Damage: 13
Following the first attack, the bard and the winged-paladin are able to deliver their prepared assault. Still floating 15ft in the air, Rhogal does not have the reach to deliver his readied attack.

IN THE DAMP CAVE
In a lightning-quick exchange of blows, including a magic spell, both Kairus and the Xorn are left worse for wear. Bitten and slashed, the triton has clearly paid the largest share of the battle tax. (Kairus takes 34 piercing and slashing damage.)
The Xorn was clearly bothered by the mental attack, but the bird's peck left no mark, even with a concrete hit. (Xorn takes 3 psychic damage.)
After the attacks, the Xorn immediately sinks into the ground again.
-> Kairus can perform an opportunity attack if he sees fit, but because the enemy is mostly covered by the ground, it will receive a large cover bonus. In the off-chance he gets a crit, Krodhen will also perform an opportunity attack.
NOTES: I'm using a raven token to represent Seagull-Krodhen.
(Krodhen, Kairus, and Rhogal can take their turns.
Edit: Thinking more about it, concentration on levitate would have dropped when Kairus used the ready action to [Tooltip Not Found]. Rhogal would have floated gently to the ground and would have had the chance to perform his opportunity attack. So, @Drache, go ahead and roll your readied attack.)

(Oh :( Completely forgot about concentration on the ready spells. Oh, well)
Despite numerous wounds, Kairus was still standing (on the purest combination of adrenalin and stubbornness) and even tried to express his frustration with the development of the fight with the dagger in the back of the retreating monster. (Attack: 20 Damage: 8)
Then he had to take a small break to catch his breath. He even tried to pluck the string of his cittern in hope that sound will return some vigour - after all, the wall was still opening.
(I think, Kairus did not spend Cure Wounds yet. If he did not - 8 HP back, if he did - consider the playing to be purely cosmetic.)
(OOC: Unfortunately, with the cover bonus, even Rhogal's 23 and Kairus's 22 attack rolls miss... That also means Rhogal can keep the staff's charge.)
Kairus and Rhogal try to quickly retaliate against the fleeing enemy but find themselves striking the hard ground instead. Looking at the slow progress of the opening pathway, they then prepare for the next assault. The bard magically recovers some strength while the druid goes on the offensive. (Kairus recovers 9 HP.)
Now sure that the "stay aloft" plan is not going to work for everyone, Krodhen approaches the ground and drops his seagull form. "Let's see if my flail fares better than a bird's beak," he says while getting ready for the Xorn's next appearance.

With ever claw that found purchase, the more frantic became Hun's attempts to shield himself. Until eventually, the Kobold had little choice except to quick draw and smash a pellet against the ground, releasing a sudden surge of foam to confuse and obscure his form. Though it wouldn't last long, there'd been little hesitance on his part in capitalizing on the moment and slipping away before the Topic could continue their assault.
"Mr. Thicc... Finish them! Destroy them!"A very cut up kobold called out breathily from behind the sofa to south, shaking an angry fist before ducking back fully into cover. And with a jet of steam from some half-hidden port and a whirring of gears kicked into overdrive precedes Mr. Thicc making good on his orders in trying to finish off the one he struck last, hopefully destroying it, before then turning on the other.
Bonus Action(Hun): Command Mr. Thicc to strike a Topi(same target as last turn).
Action(Mr. Thicc): Cast Disruptor Fist on Topi(same target as AoO if possible, otherwise any in range). (Melee, Lethal)Force Rend - Attack: 7 Damage: 7 of Force.
Future Reaction(Mr. Thicc): Aoo vs 1st to move away.

Yulmiath continues his assault on the remaining Topi. Targeting the one the other side of Hun this time, looking to thin their numbers further.
"I GOT YOU LITTLE BUDDY! GET BEHIND ME AND MR. THICC!"
Attack: 6 Damage: 24
(Reckless attack and GWM)
His storm aura lashes out with his axe, aimed at the Topi if it's still standing, the next nearest if not. DC13 Dex save or 2 lightning damage. Half damage on a save.
Should the Topi die, Yulmiath moves up to take ours place, glaring down on his remaining victims.
Feeling his conscious thought almost slip away, Hunpulls another trick out of his pocket and leaves the "undead pygmies" searching for him. Mr. Thicc doesn't leave them waiting for long, even if the construct's attack is ill-aimed this time around.
Yulmiath makes up for it with another slice-and-light combo. The cut is enough to kill another Topi, while the lightning spark injures another. (Topi#3 takes 20 magical slashing damage and is DEFEATED; Topi#1 takes 1 lightning damage.)
Yulmiath then steps closer to the remaining enemies.
(@Drache&@MuggsHill: For the sake of expediency, I went ahead and rolled the readied attacks here but feel free to roll additional damage from the Staff of Withering and Divine Smite as you see fit.)
