Seeing no reason to change his strategy, Krodhenrinses and repeats, albeit from a spot a bit closer to his compatriots.
Rhogal feels the need to stop some of his own bleeding and calls on a specialized fungus to come to his aid. It grows quickly over the worst of his wounds. (Rhogal recovers 4 HP.)
(@MB: As per their latest turn, both birds who attacked you have flown up and away and are now farther than 15 feet away from you --hence the opportunity attack. I'll ask you to reconsider Yulmiath's turn.)
With the cowardly birds pulling away from him once again, Yulmiath snorts hot air from his nostrils in disgust. Krodhen's advice ringing in his ears he this time decides to follow it, edging back into the fog cloud and preparing for an attack.
Reminder - Rhogal has Bardic Inspiration and can use it for Magical Inspiration (f a creature has a Bardic Inspiration die from you and casts a spell that restores hit points or deals damage, the creature can roll that die and choose a target affected by the spell. Add the number rolled as a bonus to the hit points regained or the damage dealt. )
After passing along "Lizard!? Oh just you wait you oversized Turkey! I'll have your gizzard for dinner!"Hun had called back in return for the earlier insult. But despite his claims, as soon as he somewhat bumbled his way out and realizing only the one he lit up was close at hand, Hun hobbled over launching another quick freeze bomb his first targets way. Then, it is back into the brush and fog for the kobold!

The evasiveness of the bird Kairus took as a personal challenge if not an outright insult. Blurring, blinking or whatever, he had to prove he can shoot better!
"You and me both, grandpa! Hells, we should feed their bones to the lizards of the island! Hit them hard!"
(If Hun spent Bardic Inspiration - another one to him)
The sailor stepped out of the fog again, found the glowing bird, shoot and return under the safety blanket.
After getting a quick explanation from Hun, Kairus pumps up the kobold for the next volley (Bardic Inspiration).
His own strategy proving to be safe so far, the bard steps out of the fog, shoots his crossbow one more time, and ducks back into the smokey screen. This time, the bolt punctures the flying crane's throat, earning the first kill in this confrontation. Krodhen may have a claim on half of that merit, though. (Eblis#2 takes 11 piercing damage and is DEFEATED.)
Hun offends the birds back and also partakes in Kairus' approach to this fight: step out, shoot, and duck back in. The kobold takes just long enough to find a proper target for him to feel rushed when aiming. The flying vial never reaches its target.
(@Ori: Just to be clear, the new target was within range but succeeded the save.)
Krodhen is the only target who has remained partially visible right at the edge of the fog cloud dome. Well, Rhogal is also still sticking his head through the top. The four remaining birds pick their targets:
(Krodhen, Rhogal, and Yulmiath are up next. Krodhen and Rhogal can attempt an opportunity attack, but they are all made at disadvantage. The only exception this time is any attack aimed at the one bird who is already injured --one of the ones attacking Krodhen.)
Yul shifts position slightly (N,66), eyes up the shot to Eblis #4, then slings a hand axe at it, taking it from his belt and unleashing his throw in one, fluid, practiced motion.
Attack: 19 Damage: 4
Watching a moment to see if his axe bites into bird flesh or whether he's destined for a trip into the bushes, Yul pauses before ducking back into the fog cloud.
Keeping his shield high Krodhen continues to frustrate the birds raking attacks, and in return he will instinctively stab up at the already injured bird as it flies past but can't seem to find an angle to connect.
Seeing the others use the fog Krodhen elects to remain on the edge and maintain his approach to the battle, keeping his shield high above his head to fend off the swooping creatures (Dodge Action), but does shuffle around towards the bush again, seeking some cover from the fog cloud at his back and the bushes to his left (O71)
A second later, Rhogal retreats into the cover of the fog. After reaching solid ground, the dwarf heals some of his fresher wounds. (Rhogal recovers 6 HP.)
Yulmiath storms out of the fog and climbs up the same ledge he did a few moments ago. As he moves, he notices the birds are now just beyond his reach, so he quickly draws a handaxe and launches it into the air. Although the weapon manages to catch the nearby injured bird, it is only a glancing blow. The crane lives on. (Eblis#4 takes 4 slashing damage.)
The axe falls a few feet away after the impact. The dragonborn makes a mental note of its location but decides it is best to duck back into the fog for now.

The defeat of the first bird raised Kairus's personal moral to the highest again. The huge evil chickens were not invincible after all! But the excitement did not make him deaf, the attacks on Yulmiath were too obvious.
"Big guy, you Ok there?" Yulmiath was definitely still standing (and fighting) but Kairus wanted to be sure the Dragonborn will last longer. He stumbled toward the warrior. "Here, that must help."
A few soothing notes did not completely heal Yulmiath (+ 7 HP ), but at least took care of some wounds.
Kairus turned in the approximate direction of Hun. "Hey, grandpa, the chickens are pecking at your dragon!" (Bardic Inspiration to Hun)

If still shouted words of encouragement, if only for the sake of encouragement, Hun growls and stomps his foot. "I figured as much, Young Blue. Bloody Beasties clearly don't know their place in the true pecking order! But we'll rectify that soon enough!" On the back of that threat, the Kobold took a rough moment to get his bearings prior to then trundling out of the fog to the south.
"One side, Mr. Yully. Young Blue. Need ta get ta blast'n again!" He said along the way as he shuffled past what he thought at least to be the pair on his way out again. Then, in seeing the closest birb, another cranking of the latch slides into place a more makeshift looking vial. Despite all appearances to the contrary, it was launched without error... though might've exploded nearly a second too soon from reach its target. Grumbling at that, Hun made his way back inside fussing with the shields readily workable mechanics.

One bird down, four to go. This realization encourages Kairus to keep fighting, but he is also aware of the damage his companions have taken. He can't quite see it, but he can hear the grunts of pain and adrenaline in the fog.
Using the sound as a guide, Kairus finds Yulmiath and magically heals some of the dragonborn's wounds from point blank range. He can't see the wounds very well, so Kairus the the incantation take the lead. (Yulmiath recovers 7 HP.)
Leaning into his role as the group's source of cheer, the bard then encourages Hun to keep attacking, although he does not lace his word with magic this time.
Hun is indeed feeling pumped up. After some words and some shuffling, the kobold steps out of the fog and launches yet another cold projectile from his highly customized shield. The vial explores in the injured crane's vicinity, freezing its wings and forcing it into the ground. The impact breaks its neck. (Eblis#4 takes 7 cold damage and is DEFEATED.)
