"It would nice to be left alone without someone bossing us around, nobody wants to make the first step and so it continues. I would say when given a choice, go North (up), failing that, go West (left). I think that would get you down to the grove with the least amount of trouble."

"And what are your plans once we leave this place following your directions? We've seen how riddled this place is with pit falls and traps are we to take you on your word that you aren't sending us into more of these and once out of sight you return to your band and inform them of our presence?" Weber questions the goblin pinned to the ground, suspicious of it's intentions.
"I have some rope in my backpack" says Durthon, still keeping an eye on the door. " We could leave both of them tied upand untie them once we come back."
"I could march them back to my tribe if you want, I can manage them if they are tied up easy enough. I will try to catch up if I can. We can leave them here too, not sure how long the ropes can hold them though."
"I read something in a book a long time ago, 'fortune favours the bold'. Means if you want something, you need to do something. Seems to me like there's an opportunity here to help everyone get what they want. You goblins share this derelict place with the Kobolds, maybe your two people should work together to make this a safe home for all of you, free from the dominion of any tree huggin' surface dweller?" Gus says thoughtfully to the goblin, slightly easing his weight from his back, but still staying wary.
"Maybe instead of doin' whatever this Belak fella asks of you, you could make this place into the underground city it could be, two tribes bringin' their own strengths together an' workin' in harmony! We - Gus gestures to his friends - have no quarrel with you, an' I've no taste for senseless bloodshed. We just want to find the others, an' the dragon, then leave with no intention of ever returning. We could try t'convince this Druid to make his home elsewhere too, an' leave this place to those that deserve it. Give ye' a chance to forge your own path." Gus smiles as he says this.
"Meepo, I'm sure Yusdrayl jus' wants the best for your folk too, and maybe an alliance with the goblins would benefit you all? You could take these two back with you to start this conversation?" Aware that the others are on guard, Gus stands up, looking determined. "Either way, we've dossed around here too long and need to be on our way. Our business is with Belak, but that doesn't mean we can't help improve all of the lives we come across, eh? Your choice, be the first to start something and make your own lives, or live under some surface dwellers green thumb and be miserable."
Gus smiles wide and proud at both the Goblin's and Meepo's replies.
"Way I see it, there's two of you. Maybe your injured pal can head back to the Kobold's leader with Meepo, start this conversation with Yusdrayle and get that ball rolling. Meepo can help explain. Pretty sure some Worship rooms won't offend, maybe you can even teach the Goblins your religion?" Gus looks interested himself at this thought.
"You yoursel' could come with us, make sure any Goblins we bump into know that we're here to help, and not to harm. Y'can explain to any stubborn folks what we're trying to achieve here. An' it might be cathartic to help us convince Belak to leave." Gus smiles again, "What does everyone think? If we're gonna work together, we should properly introduce ourselves, I'm Gus!" He continues, reaching out a hand to help his new ally to his feet.
"It only takes one to make a change Meepo, though if they prove to be unreliable you'll only be back to the current stalemate, why don't you take this one back to Yusdrayle" Weber points to the injured goblin "and our new friend" he says with a sneer "can take us to druid down below."
Dozens of blunted and broken arrows lie on the cracked cobblestone floor, and a few protrude from three crudely sewn, human-sized targets hung along the center of the south wall.
"This is our practice range, want me to go talk to them and let them know you are coming or get them to leave so we can get past them?"

"How much gold do you need for them to go quietly? I gather that there is not much to spend it on around here" whispers Durthon. He would go up to 4 gold pieces to avoid an unnecessary fight.
"Good, although our pockets will be empty soon if we have to keep bribing our way through." Weber moves up to the corner of the room, peering round making sure that the goblins have in fact moved on.
The northern third of the room is separated from the south by a crudely mortared and crenellated half-wall. A permanent camp of sorts lies north of the wall, complete with a fire ring and several small iron cook pots.

The north and south walls of this chamber are stacked halfway to the ceiling with ill-made barrels, boxes, and crates. A clear path allows easy access between the west and east doors.
Several torches mounted in crude sconces burn fitfully around this chamber, filling the air with a haze. A double row of marble columns carved with entwining dragons runs the length of the hall.

You sense no deception from the goblin.

"Sounds good to me, I am sure this place is big enough for all of us. What do you want me to do?"
"Stranger things have happened I guess, if we get our dragon back and we are allowed to restore the worship rooms, I suppose it could work."
Gus smiles wide and proud at both the Goblin's and Meepo's replies.

in a hushed tone..
"We have found goblins to be very unreliable when it comes to peace treaties, anything really."
"It only takes one to make a change Meepo, though if they prove to be unreliable you'll only be back to the current stalemate, why don't you take this one back to Yusdrayle" Weber points to the injured goblin "and our new friend" he says with a sneer "can take us to druid down below."
he grabs the injured goblin and gets him on his feet and binds his hands behind his back with his sling...
"I will catch up with you later if I can and remember what I said."
"OK, let's go."
with a prod from his dagger, they walk back the way you came and disappear beyond the door...
Gus watches Meepo lead the other Goblin back the way they came, then turns to the others.
”Right then, I guess introductions c’n wait. We’ve got things to do, busy busy!” He grins, “We should get moving.”
Durthon nods "seems a fair agreement to me, let's go find the missing people."

"This is our practice range, want me to go talk to them and let them know you are coming or get them to leave so we can get past them?"
“Get them to leave is best I think” Weber looks towards the others for their thoughts “no need getting involved with others so soon”.
"Spot me some gold and it will make it easier to get rid of these guys. If I just ask, they may start asking a bunch of questions I can't answer."
"How much gold do you need for them to go quietly? I gather that there is not much to spend it on around here" whispers Durthon. He would go up to 4 gold pieces to avoid an unnecessary fight.

his eyes light up...
"That should do it, I'll be right back."
(you hear some conversation and then he returns)
"That did it, ready to keep moving?"
