This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Effulgyn winces as the villain’s rapier pulls back, and the halfling looks in shock at his shoulder where blood begins to soak his white ruffled shirt and course down his sleeve inside his green corduroy coat. Clutching that arm to his waist — it hurts violently — he casts his eyes all about for a means of escape, and at Fin in front of him. It would be easy to slip away, but he can’t leave his friend to face this madman alone. Ducking behind the brave paladin, he chooses his moment and points his wand once again. “B'djet-q'imbti!” (Rolling with bless but at disadvantage firing into a melee: (OOC: Cast Acid Splash; To hit: Unable to parse dice roll., damage 6)
(lol, I don’t remember the code for rolling at disadvantage. Just rolling to hit twice here: 10, 9.
OK, so that is a miss. The updated map is here--I put you as "in between" the human and Effy as I could without having you stand on top of the sleeping form of the gnome, which would wake her up, probably.
Let me know if there is anything you'd like to do before Avra's turn (wherein she is going to retrieve the rapier at E16, which I have visualized with a nice white slash. Elegant really.)

Assuming Effy doesn't wish to do anything further...
Avrascuttles over to grab the rapier that Yesrora tossed mere seconds ago, standing to face the human (roughly 25 feet away) as she wields it. She sways a little but her resolve is complete: she will not let this, this well dressed man, stop her from achieving her mission. Kindermarsh, and her farm, and her Pa, and her very way of life, hang in the balance. She is ready.
Yesrorain the meantime has two more bolts ready for the Human and, freeing her mind from thought or care, lets them fly. One goes wide, but the other is a hit! It finds purchase in the Human's shoulder, and he takes 6 points of piercing damage.

With the ferret and the gnome still sleeping, it is the Human's turn. He smiles at Finas he elegantly juts his rapier outward, aiming for the center of Fin's chest, but Fin moves just slightly out of the way and avoids being pierced. The human, smiling even more broadly (if maniacally) slides back over to his spot, eyes still locked with Fin's. "I can do this all day," he says, "And there is nothing I'd love more!"
Domash is still invisible and asleep, and that concludes round 4 of battle. To recap:
Finis blessed and has not taken any damage. He has placed himself between the Human, who is quite slippery and hard to injure, and Effy, who is not.
Effyfor his part is down to 5 hp and out of spells, but he is blessed!
Avrais down to 1hp but now has a rapier--it looks like she is going to go to bat with the human in her next turn. She too is blessed.
Yesrorahas been hiding and taking ranged attacks so is quite fine, though she doesn;t have a melee weapon anymore
The gnome, ferret, and half orc are still asleep and will be for 6 more rounds unless they are woken up
The humanhas taken a little bit of damage but doesn't seem bothered by it at all
The battle map has not changed but here it is for convenience.
Fin, you're up!

The Human attempts tries to spin away from Fin's stretched hands, but is too late: he finds himself held in Fin's tight grip.
(OOC: Mechanically, he lost the strength contest and is now grappled. I see him as holding his rapier in one hand while Fin has him held by the other--Barlow let me know if this is the case and I'll update the map.)

“That’s what’s what, Fin!,” Effulgyn shouts. Then he has an idea. This villain’s only weapon is a rapier. Keep him at bay, and he’ll be harmless. A memory from his young days on the farm strikes him like a stone. The long path to town, and one cold winter, a bear which had gone mad after eating poisonous nightshade, attacking folks on the road. Then it was seen just outside the farm. They’d had to set a trap.
The young wizard shuts his eyes tight, remembering every detail of the steel-mawed trap. Then his eyes flash open, glowing with arcane fire and, pointing his wand to a spot next to the human, the halfling shouts, “Us-BEH-qu!!!” A glowing bear trap instantly appears at the exact spot (minor conjuration). “Fin! Push him!,” the halfling shouts.
Creative! I spent a goodish amount of time trying to decide if Minor Conjuration would produce a working bear trap and in the end concluded based on Effy's background in farming and the like, absolutely it would. So fun!
Effy would you place it in D23 or somewhere else?

OK so there is now a magical bear trap just at the Human's feet. The gnome is also close to it, which might come in handy if she wakes up. But in the event of a struggle, it also poses a bit of a threat to Fin, who is also quite close and struggling to keep the Human grappled. The suspense!
Effy anything else with your turn? Otherwise we will move on to our lovely Avra who is quite hurt but quite angry.
