Ogden thanks Sophiel as he takes a bite of the chocolate. After finishing it he stands up and walks over to Dr. Arthur and in a hushed tones begins to speak "How much of this places history do you know? Do the names Lady Silvra or Dranzorg sound familiar?"
As Emrys reads the book, you can here him grumbling and mumbling to himself, often flipping back to go over a section before returning.
While you're reading, you hear the wheels of Alanik getting closer. "Ahh I see you are reading about the Crimson Falcon. Interested in joining?" He chuckles slightly. "I assume you are at the very least former military to be interested in a text like that."
"Aye. I spent many a year in the Army of Tethyr. But i'll not going back there, nor joining another will I. There be many a sad tale of soldiers which are not told in these pages. Loss, suffering, hardship. The life of a soldier be hard, and no gratitude after. But do you know more of these Falcons and there leader?"
Wraith, distracted from quietly watching the activities, turns to Sophiel and answers, "Oh, no, I do not breathe fire. I CAN shoot blasts of eldritch energy out of my hands. 'Too'? Wait, can YOU breathe fire? I have never met a fire breathing faerie before."
Sophiel looks disappointed but interested. She says, "No I can't breathe fire. However, there is a Fire Knife juggler back at the Carnival that can. They are also like you." She moves her hands to her head and makes her fingers like horns.

Dr. Arthur responds, "Well that's what we are here to find out. We have several conflicting reports. The only thing that is consistent is that there are spirits that haunt this house. I happen to know how to use this spirit board here so maybe these spirits can give us more insight." He smiles and begins to set up the spirit board and table.

Alanik responds, "Well yes, I have read that book myself. I have a copy of it back home. As far as the reports, well I can't actually say they really exist though I have interviewed some of these supposed Falcons. They have some very interesting tales, but as to whether they are true or not, I cannot say."
Campaign Update: Dr. Arthur and Alanik are in the Parlor along with Wraith, Sophiel, Emrys and Ogden. Nuzar and Ra'salva have gone off in search of some drink in the Kitchen. 1 hour remains until Arthur will hold the séance.
"Be this book common in parlor's then? Twould seem a bit eclectic for general reading. And how then would these Falcons ye have bespoke say it ended. A leader such as this would surely have had an escape in the ready."

Alanik responds, "As someone who has travelled to many strange places, I would have many a eclectic book in my personal library. As far as how it ended, well some of these supposed Falcons say that The Crimson Falcon herself is still very much alive. They say she even rules over her own kingdom, though to call it a kingdom is a farce. I've been told her "kingdom" has but one city to it that she barely holds together. They speak of the hoards of undead and other horrors that besieged the city every month. This land, this Falkovnia, sounds like quite a mess. However, Arthur and I have yet no reason to travel to such a place, even if it were to exist."
Emrys makes a curious gesture, moving a cupped hand from his right ear, over his eyes and to his left ear before making as if to throw something to the ground. He then makes a "tft, tft, tft" spound as he mimiks spitting on the ground.
"Gods protect us from such."
"Be there a place in this house where I might conduct me absolutions" He runs his hand over his beard. "A bit of soap an water woldn'a be amiss."

Alanik responds, "Well the only place on this floor that has a sink that might work is the kitchen. I'm afraid the only bathrooms would most likely be upstairs."
Campaign update: This is the last chance to explore anywhere in the house's first floor before the séance begins. You all will have until Nov. 3rd 11:59pm to respond with anything your characters may be wanting to do before the séance commences. If nothing in particular is brought up, then I will assume you have all met back up in the parlor and are ready to witness the séance.
Current status of the characters:
Nuzar and Ra'Salva are in the Kitchen.
Wraith, Emyrs, Ogden and Sophiel are in the Parlor.
Dr. Arthur is getting the séance table ready and Alanik is answering questions and taking down notes about his observations made today.
Arthur simply smiles and says, "Just make sure you're ready. We don't know what spirit may come. Though if this I am certain, no harm will come to us in this room."
Arthur the announces, "We will begin the seance in a few moments. Please everyone, gather around and take a seat. As I have told Sophiel, no harm will come to any of us in this room."
This is the final moments before the seance begins. You all have gathered into the parlor. You have time to make any preparations you deem necessary for this seance.
Nuzar causally enters back into the parlor, looking around and relieved to see everyone was accounted for and still in one-piece. "Nothing in the kitchen but poison and rot!" She calls out, a bit annoyed but also nervous. "Also something sweet in the oven, you two were making more of those chocolates with caramel drizzle or some sort?" She looks to Arthur and Alanik.
"Anyways. No booze, no hauntings. Let's get this seance started before I lose nerve." She rubs her hands together, settling down into a seat next to Alanik.

As you talk about the sweets in the oven, Alanik and Arthur look throughly confused. Alanik speaks up, "One mustn't form conclusions without first getting all the information. We've never stepped foot in that kitchen. Though you say there was caramel in the oven?" He looks inquisitive if not a bit put off by the accusation.
Nuzar sighs at the response. "I smelled caramel coming from the oven. I didn't bother checking because that wasn't what I was looking for, and I didn't want to look just anywhere at the risk of this damned house messing with me again." She'd look around, on the walls and doors as she says this, looking stern and strong. "If you two were never in the kitchen, in a house as old as this, and the food smelled fresh... we are definatly not alone. Whether these hosts be dead or alive."
As Arthur begins the séance, the lights begins to dim. He speaks, ”Spirits of this house, we are strangers who come openly and without malice. We seek only to know your stories and to help you find peace. We entreat you: make your presence known." A moment or two passes and nothing seems to happen. The a slight chill breezes through the room. Some frost starts to grow on the planchette placed on the table. It moves of its own accord and it begins to slowly circle the word, "Greetings" on the spirit board. Arthur then asks, "To whom are we speaking?" The planchette moves again and spells out T-H-E-O-D-O-R-A. Arthur looks at all of you and asks, "Do any of you have any questions before I ask my own?"
Ogden thanks Sophiel as he takes a bite of the chocolate. After finishing it he stands up and walks over to Dr. Arthur and in a hushed tones begins to speak "How much of this places history do you know? Do the names Lady Silvra or Dranzorg sound familiar?"
