"We've heard they can be found loitering by the Sleeping Giant so there's a place to start I guess. I think we can convince one of them to tell us where to find te rest. I believe we could be willing to help out with orcs and finding Iarno as well, but we should definitely start with these Redbrands. Are we to understand that there are no reward for taking care of these bandits then?" Wolfe says to Sildar.
Sildar nods. "Yes, they are a nuisance and a dangerous threat to the town running properly. And need to be dealt with. If you talked to the people here, they are scared and frustrated. You can't run a town with that kind of problem running loose." At the mention of possible payment, Sildar just shakes his head. "Used to be that adventurers would jump at the chance to gain fame and renown in an area. That kind of currency could buy you real loyalty and love." He sighs. "Well, as ranking member of Lord's Alliance, I can offer you 200 gp to deal with the threat. Though be warned, they are not goblins and they will not always bend the way you like. Of course, there's the Cragmaw issue to talk about as well. We need Gundren to get that mine up and running again. The town's future depends on it." He looks sideways at you Wolfe, a bit of a sneer of his face. "And before you ask, noble adventurer, there would be a financial incentive there as well."
"Hmm I just wanted the ones being responsible for hurting that girl at the inn..but 200gp it can help me take it more seriously..as for the tip thanks boss but if I know something is that we all bleed..and they are gonna see their own blood..preferably knocking their teeth out than chopping their heads"
Edryd, who has been a bit quiet recently looks at Sildar and states plainly, "I will help the people here and show them the radiance and hope Selune brings to her followers. She will guide this village and it's people to prosperity while I show them with my deeds the glory of the moon. Our new disciples in Silver Lady will need a place to worship and praise and while I shall help you regardless but I would ask for a bit of land, something small and prominent to construct a shrine."

Rabbit grins, knowing Wolfe probably wouldn't have asked so adamantly about the money had she not been pushing the issue. "Sildar, I get going after the Redbrands for the goodwill of the town. Though I for one feel better knowing there's a reward. But you really think we would track down Gundren for you for free? Risk our lives so that you can get a highly profitable mine going?"
(I'm trying to recall - do we know anything about the Cragmaws? More goblins or orcs?)
"I was merely asking if there was a reward or not Sildar, rest assured we will deal with this menace either way." Wolfe says, not affected by Sildar's sneer it seems. "Unless there was anything useful you wanted to add we will pay a visit to the Sleeping Giant now." He says, ready to leave again.

SIldar nods. "While it's not my cup of tea, and it's unlikely you'll find followers in a place like this, having a wide range of gods is good for business. You'll have to talk to Harbin though, there's likely a fee to set something up." He laughs at your mention of a small and prominent space. "Unless you've got numbers - or some fame or gold - that probably won't happen! But don't fret, moon man. Crazier things have happened. You have my thanks, by the way."

"That's the spirit, lad!"Sildar says, clapping you on the back.

(I'm trying to recall - do we know anything about the Cragmaws? More goblins or orcs?)
Sildar spreads his hands. "Aye, I understand lass. There is a reward, you have my word on that. Why not track him down for free? High profits are good for everyone, including the heroes that made it happen. It's not a small thing to have a town call you heroes, you know. Until then, you're just mercenaries looking for some bacon, if you get me meaning. And there ain't nothing wrong with that, if that's your thing. To each their own, as the saying goes." [you don't know much of anything about the Cragmaws, only that they are likely a tribe of goblins. Sildar said they took Gundren to somewhere called Cragmaw castle but you haven't found out where that is yet. It's possible you could find out more information with a little elbow grease and shoeshine, if you get my meaning. He is also looking for Iarno, or whatever happened to him, and he would give you a reward for that as well. There are people you can talk to in town - some you have already, some you haven't. But up to you what you'd like to look into first].
Rabbit nods, giving Sildar's words some consideration, but not saying anything. She then steps over to Wolfe. "Yea, let's get on our way to the Sleeping Giant. I think we're all ready to go." She glances back and sees Krull with his newly purchased axe. "Think we're all here." She heads on towards the Sleeping Giant with Wolfe.
Krull follows them behind stoically..he mutters to himself ' i ll wait for the others to do the talking but once I find that guy I ll kill him with my bear hands '

Happy to let the others do the majority of the taking Mau stays silent in the background while in the townmasters hall. Once they leave the building he speaks “perhaps it’s not wise to go to the Sleeping Giant yet. If it’s an establishment frequented by these ruffians there will likely be no information to be gathered this early in the day.” He looks over the group while talking “they may not be willing to talk with someone of your stature in tow Wolfe as well, I mean no offence but you don’t strike me as one the red brands would deal with. Rabbit and I may be able to persuade them that we are looking for any kind of paying work.”
"None taken Mau, but I have no intention to trick them. I think Krull will just bash their heads in, but possibly someone will talk before it comes to that. I would even prefer backstabbing goblins to men who treat women like they did Elsa." Wolfe says, seemingly perfectly calm and sincere. "I hope we can still count on your help with this Mau." He says on his way to the Sleeping Giant.
You head out of the Townmaster's Hall and head towards where you were told the Sleeping Giant was by some street urchin. As you walk down the street, it is clear of people. A couple stray dogs fight over a bone. The houses here are in a bit of disrepair and some graffiti stains the front of a couple of them. You see a curtain or two move slightly. You have a sinking feeling about this. As if on cue, out of the shadows of a nearby building, two hard-looking thugs step out. One of them addresses you while the other fans out a bit, smiling. "Well, well, well. Phandalin's newest heroes, innit? We be hearin' so much about ya's, thought we'd come an see fer ourselves! Ya shun't be walkin' where y'aint welcome. This is arr town, an' yain't welcome. So ya better leave, eh?" From behind you you hear some rustling and two more thugs step out from around the buildings you just passed. "Eh? So what'll it be, meat?"

Krull just grins as he finds it amusing..he doesn't say a word but turns around to look the thugs they appeared behind them..he flexes his muscles in an attempt to dishearten them (intimidation check? If yes 7)
Edryd looks at Sildar and cocks his head to the side at being called Moon Man, "I can not think of a better place than this for the worship of Selune. My Lady purifies and protects the very darkness your miners venture into as they drag your rocks to the surface. Is this not a valuable ideal? As those miners forge into the unknown and create tunnels for your riches would they not benefit from her guidance and navigation to a prosperous vein of ore and gemstones? This whole community is founded on the exploration of darkness, do not be so dismissive; for Selune will lead these people to prosperity. Perhaps even you could benefit from her guidance" His tone is soft but his intention is clear he will not suffer such a dismissive attitude toward his faith.
When the thugs approach the group Edryd's eyes widen. His eyes darting side to side at the new threat his hand rests on his weapon but he does not draw it yet as he whispers to Wolfe, "Let Selune guide your words perhaps you can calm these fools before this comes to violence." They snicker, hands on their swords (you notice one has a whip). They don't seem intimidated.
"I'm afraid you are mistaken, we are not leaving, but perhaps you should leave while you still can. But before we let you go I would like a word with the one who had the courage to beat up Elsa. I would like to tell him a thing or two in person on how to treat a lady properly." Wolfe says to the Redbrands, sounding very stern and sincere about his words. Intimidation: 11 (Expecting help action from someone, otherwise go with first roll)

Sildar just raises his eyebrows a little bit at your rising devotion. "Okay, okay...you're free to try, don't get your beard in a knot...oh. Though no miner works in the dark, and if they do, it isn't your goddess' darkness they toil in. Doesn't Selune light the darkness?" He shrugs again. "Seems confusing but then, religion always was to me. You'll want to talk to Harbin then, maybe try to rustle up some folk that are interested too. That'll help your petition."
