As you get higher up, the water falls a bit more, causing noise to occur.  You can't hear much and you're a bit worried about the high ground above you.

The pounding sound continues, but this time you hear it increase in pace.

Mau, you get to the other side of the bridge and hear something whistle through the air.  You turn and a javelin speeding towards you!  Rabbit, you're still kind of under the bridge but you watch in horror as he javelin flies towards Mau!

Rabbit steps back from under the bridge, trying to locate the goblin attacking Mau.  She then again creates a ghostly hand next to it, casting Chill Touch.

Having cast, she then slips back beneath the bridge fior cover.

(Attack: 11, Damage: 7 necrotic)

The goblin's javelin strikes true hitting Mau in the back and briefly knocks him to the his hands and knees.  His cat like reflexes allowing him to push quickly push himself back onto his feet as he pulls the javelin out with a grunt.

He quickly moves to Rabbit's side under the bridge, sheathing his rapier and drawing his shortbow not wanting to risk being in close combat with any other goblins that may be hiding.

"I can carry on if you would prefer, but they may be aware of our presence now, should we return to get the others?" he whispers to Rabbit through gritted teeth, before attempting to hide in the shadows.

The goblin's cackle of glee as the javelin pierces Mau's back is cut short as Rabbit quickly weaves her hands and speaks some arcane syllables.  Her trusty skeletal hand clamps around the goblin, stifling its glee and reducing it to a corpse.  It will never get to fix its error in judgement.
You are both under the bridge, Mau gasping for breath.  

At this point, I would ask only Krull, Wolfe, and Edryd for their actions/movements/etc...  The three of you wouldn't have heard anything...would you just be staying put at this point?  Remember, you don't know that anything happened to Mau or Rabbit.

I believe we would stay put, no reason to go in at exactly this point, but Wolfe will likely go in if nothing is heard from Mau and Rabbit soon.

With no reason to advance Edryd continues to watch the mouth of the cave in silence.  

Rabbit nods to Mau. "Yea, return. Let's keep a close eye on the wolves when we go."  She heads back the way they came, hesitating before reaching the wolves to listen before proceeding.

 As you sit in the gloom trying to catch your breath, you look above you at the bridge.  A short sinewy arm that ends in clawed fingers hangs limp over the side.  You hear a couple more sounds of pounding from far away and then it stops.  You both look at each other.  You begin to hear a low rumble that builds to a loud roar.  You look north again and note the increasing water level and the increasing speed of the flow.  You look in dismay at each other before your eyes widen in recognition - flood!  You quickly look around and then back the way you came.  You note the handholds on the wall and note that you're about 60 feet from the cave mouth.

The large deluge of water released from somewhere up above you is descending upon you - Mau and Rabbit, what do you do?

Rabbit looks quickly at Mau and points up, suggesting that they use the handholds and get up onto the bridge.  They could take their chances there - hopefully that is not what the goblins expect.  But she is just as ready to follow Mau if he suggests a different course.
