Wracoria moves to the front of the party, making sure to stand between them and whatever is in those woods with her shield raised and sword drawn. She refuses to allow what happened to Trick a few nights ago to repeat itself here.

From the tree line everyone hears a noise, a voice, in some language that is not recognized, except by Clarion and Crane (See below spoiler you two).
You two hear in Goblin, "Attack them now. Ukt head to the hideout."
From the opposite side of the road from where the voice originated, two goblins rush out with swords drawn. While two arrows come sailing at the adventurers and the cart.
Everyone please mark down your hits and HP loss if any, and roll for INIT. No map this time, Goblins 1 & 2 have ran up to the tree line to get better aim at you all and have short bows drawn. They are 30 feet away. Goblins 3 & 4 ran up on the opposite side and are attacking with swords. You're basically surrounded, by 4 goblins.

Clarion is shocked that he has been taken by surprise as the scimitar wings past his head. He lets fly an arrow but the goblin too close for comfort. "These brutes are like wolves, try to separate them so they can't work together!"

"Shit," Crane curses under her breath as she hears the Goblin language coming from the trees. She is about to warn her friends when the scimitar strikes from behind, slicing through her sleeve and drawing blood from her arm. "Shit shit," She mutters, turning to the goblin as she draws out her dulcimer with a single movement.
She strums her instrument, igniting herself with magic, and then points briefly at the goblin next to her, her face twisted in anger as shespeaks in it's own language: "Soon you'll have a spine to match that with which you follow orders... None at all!"

The two Goblin just at the tree line take aim and fire their bows again.
The goblin stares down Crane, and shakes off the spell blood lust in it's eye's. Crane begins to worry about another attack when Wracoria races around the cart and with her sword slashes down and cleaves the Goblin across the chest, killing it. Blood and gore fall to her and Crane's feet.
The Goblin still in close combat gives a snarl as it brings it's scimitar down on Clarion.
Clarion realizes that the bow is not working in close combat and pulls out his shield and rapier.
Because I'm pulling out my shield and rapier I am not able to attack this next round but my AC will increase by 2 to 16 because of the shield. The first attack for 5 hits the second attack for 4 misses (even without my shield so it doesn't matter when that happened.) I'm down to 7 HP (12-5).
Trick's blade stabs down into the Goblin who is surrounding his companion and quickly dispatches him from behind. His body dropping to the ground and bleeding out.
INIT is as follows:
Cally 2
Clarion 23
Crane 22
Wracoria 17.5 (I flipped a coin, you won the coin toss lol)
Goblins! Her eyes narrowed at the threat at the distance and close by. Seeing Trick and Wracoria dispatch the nearest threat, Callista decided to deal with the ones further away. If they were further out in the treeline, she would move closer to them to aim at them with her spell. With a shout in Infernal, a bright purple circle came to life, before dashing towards the hidden goblin in the treeline.
OOC: Cally is attacking the closet one in the treeline. If she was further out of range, she'd would move slightly closer to the nearest firing goblin.

With the nearest goblins taken care of, Crane feels her shoulders relax a little. Her eyes meet Wracoria's with a glimmer, and she gives a quick lick on the dulcimer and a slip of thin paper shifts out of her bag and folds itself into the form of a dragon, before it flies off like a paper airplane towards the trees, "Show 'em the mistake they made, Wrac."(Bardic Inspiration (1d6) to Wracoria)
Then, Crane moves towards where her paper dragon flew to, continuing to play on her dulcimer. As she approaches, it reforms into a goblin, and she points at the nearest goblin in the trees and shouts: "You've nowhere left to run!"And then the paper rips itself up.
Gave Bardic Inspiration (1d6) to Wracoria. Once in the next 10 minutes she can add 1d6 to an attack roll, saving throwing, or ability check after rolling but before the DM says it succeeds or fails.
Cast Vicious Mockery at either Goblin 1 or 2, whichever was closest to the edge of the trees. Must save against 14 or else take 2 Psychic damage and have disadvantage on its next attack.

With the sheer pain from the pyscic attack and seeing the adventurers close on him the second Goblin in the tree line turns and makes a run for it. Yells of fear escape him as he starts running through the woods. The first Goblin stands his ground and with his Shortbow pulls back on the string and takes aim at Wracoria.

With a sigh, Crane's whole body relaxes, and she flips her dulcimer over her shoulder to rest on her back. With a wince she rubs at where the goblin had slashed at her chest, before wandering over the corpses of the goblins nearest the cart, rifling through them for anything of use.
"I'm just glad that we didn't turn out like those poor fellows," She mentions as she pokes through the pockets of the dead goblins, "Guess the road isn't as safe as we thought. Anyone you know, Clarion?"

A purple beam of arcane energy flows from Tiefling's outstretched hand and flies through the trees, ripping off bark as it pasts, toward the Goblin and strikes it in the back of the head snapping it's neck forward and tumbling. The monster twitches a moment before falling dead.
As Clarion moves to the dead horses ,a small chestnut and a tall gray warhorse, he notices a cluster of black crude arrows piercing their body. The saddle bags have been torn and gone through, an empty leather map case is all that remains. After a moment of realization Clarion remembers these horses to look very similar to the ones that Gundren and Salidar rode off on.
Looking across the Goblins Crane finds 13 gp and 20 sp, all of the armor and weapons seem to be of poor quality and dingy. Nicks across the blades and almost splintered wood. Armor is scratched and of no use. Crane passes over the armor and weapons knowing they aren't worth enough to scavenge or really good for use. You also find 9 black feathered arrows.
"Hey all, this is bad news. You remember Gundren Rockseeker and Salidar his companion. These are their horses. This little job is turning quickly into an unpleasant adventure." Clarion quickly checks the bodies to see if Gundren or Salidar or both are among the dead. "See if you recognize any of these bodies. If they are not here then it is possible they are now captives of goblin folk." Clarion also looks to see if he can find a the path left by those responsible for this crime realizing he might now need to track them down.
