If Khessa sees Kella darting, she quiclky tells Ev'alish: "Inside and get ready, I smell troubles". Then she goes inside the inn, upstairs, and positions herself in a place when only an enemy at a time should be able to come. Maybe in the corridor on the upper floor, just a few steps after the end of the stairs? If the corridor is too wide and would allow more than one attacker, then in a room, just past a door.
When Kramyra turns back and sees Kella running away she dashes towards her, grapples her and drags her into the nearest building.
Roll for athletics. You will also need to use Feline Agility to reach her.
It’s good to be a cat ;). Athletics check: 9
ok, but not so strong… don’t suppose I get to use advantage since she was running away and not facing me to fight me? If the answer is yes, here is my second roll: 11
Ha ha, apparently it didn’t matter. Wimpy little cat.
If Khessa has enough time, given she is preparing for the worst, she goes in the room with the wardrobe and the bearskin (first room on the right it was), fetches them, blocks with the wardrobe part of the stairs just at the top to reduce enemy's space and spreads the bearskin half on the top few steps of the stairs, half in the corridor. Something like this:
|K | |-W| |--| |--|
where:
| | = corridor |--| = stairs K = Khessa standing W = wardrobe painted part = bearskin on the floor
Kramyra lets Kella go, she doesn't know what is going on and doesn't attack her for running away. Maybe this group that has arrived is not good? She does yell after Kella in the hopes to get some information, "Who are these people asking about you?"
Kramyra runs back into the inn to join her companions. “Well, that was interesting. Shall we try and flag them down or just wait to see what they are up to?”
Khessa finishes preparing the battelfield and replies: "I do not wish to start a fight, so I'd say to wait and see, but I don't like them a bit. They do not seem soldiers to me, but they come, with prisoners, without replying to us (both Kan and Ev'alish tried to talk in vain), looking for Kella... who promptly runs to them. I can't say what they are up, but I'd say something is wrong"
Then takes some debris from the chest's room to conceal the bear skin.
"Should they finally start speaking with us, it would be nice to buy some more time to prepare. They are many... we must not let them swarm us."
And tries to fetch a desk (from the same room where the wardrobe was - there was also a desk there) to erect a barricade that shelters her from waist down (to get half cover, should an attacker come on the concealed bearskin to fight her).
Finally: "Kan... would you able to fill the chest with debris and locking it again? I'd like to be able to make them believe it contains a treasure, if needed"
Khessa thinks to herself: "Oh, they are in mood to speak, finally. Let's hear what they want. At least, on horses, in plain sight, speaking aloud like they are doing, they might draw the attention of the remaining goblins on them"
The Dragonborn narrows his eyes. “And whomst might this prisoner be? One doest not simply ‘walk around’ with a prisoner. One of the survivors of this attack?”

Ev'alish looks to Kella, then the riders, then Khessa. "I see troubles."
Quickly, he withdraws back into the tavern with Khessa and readies his pike.

Kan calls out to the rider. “Hello? I’m Kan. Who’s there? It’s not safe here.”

Does Ev’alish know who the Zhentharim are?
History: 16
The Dragonborn narrows his eyes. “And whomst might this prisoner be? One doest not simply ‘walk around’ with a prisoner. One of the survivors of this attack?”
He approaches the prisoner: “Who art thou?”
