Keashirryl nods hearing Cassius' words, while starting to look through the bodies, searching for anything of value. "We met him, too. The mayor. Didn't impress us either."
"Any ideas as to what to do with the bodies? It would be a hazard to leave them here - though the locals don't seem to mind. Thought of the well, but it would not be particularly respectful. Besides, I don't wish to poison the whole town."
She waits for the introductions - if there are any - , leaning on a nearby fence.
Cassius is a half orc that is a little bit past his prime, standing shorter then most of his kind with a height closer to a full human. His black hair is speckled with a bit of grey with a few spots bald due to a jagged scar that runs across the right side of his head. Otherwise he has several scars across most parts of his body with others more then likely covered by his simple clothing. The only things of note he carries are his staff that looks to have been formerly the handle of a farming tool, and a crudely made necklace.
"Find a spot and burn them I would say. Doubt the folks around here want them buried with their families."

Droknin is a leonin with white fur standing a little over seven feet tall. He holds a double-bladed scimitar that he carries everywhere he goes.
He inspects Slobomir's body for any useful info. Then he brings it closer to the other bodies, and drops it on the floor like a sack of potatoes. "It would have been nice to keep this one alive, but beggars can't be choosers." He looks to the newcomers. "We thank you for your timely intervention. Of course, we had everything under control, mind you." He gives a paw to Cassius to shake his hand. "Name is Droknin."

As Droknin bends down to pick up the body, a wiry arm reaches out and touches his arm gently. As the cat-man looks up from the body, he finds an older lanky elf with a shaved head, wiry in build, his arms and hands a bit knobby and gnarled, almost as if carved from wood. The elf nods before bending down to extract the arrow from the corpse, wiping it on the Redbrand's pantleg before returning it to his quiver. In his other hand is a longbow carved with vine and thorn patterns down its length.
"Bout time someone did something about this lot. You stopping there, or you rooting out the whole thicket?", he asks in a gruff voice.

"Cassius Kemp but most around her call me by Kemp." The half orc said as he shook the offered hand with his own calloused covered one, turning to look towards the the others. "If you all want to deal with them I am not against helping deal with the problem. They've interrupted my peaceful life for to long."

Droknin, you puzzle over the corpse of Slobomir. Maybe its the adrenalin wearing off... maybe its the blood loss you have suffered... but looking over the arrow wounds, you cannot help but draw a dark conclusion: this wasn't suicide. Slobomir was murdered.
The rest of you are able to pick through the belongings of the Redbrands. You find the following useful items:
1 set of studded leather armor
1 set of scale mail armor
1 longsword
1 shield
5 daggers
3 light crossbows
12 crossbow bolts
21gp; 22sp
You also find two parchments. One is a wanted poster:
The other is a note in the possessions of the Redbrand Sergeant.
Make sure the men know not to harass Halia at the Phandalin Miner's Exchange. She has 'black' friends and that is not the kind of trouble we need right now. This comes direct from Glasstaff. Just keep out of that woman's business and with luck she will keep her nose out of ours. So no taxing... no intimidation... no theft. Don't even look at her sideways. That's an order.

"It seems to me that we will have to deal with them; the sooner the better" she lifts up the wanted poster so that the others can see, making a slight grimace.
As she stands there holding the picture, you can see that an approximately human-sized tiefling somewhere in her adult years. The purplish hue of her skin is complimented with the grey of her armour that has clearly seen better days.
Meeting the elf for the first time, she picks up on the bow, and quickly puts the puzzle pieces together. But saying thank you would be awfully hard, let alone in front of all these people. Besides, it could have killed me, she tries to convince herself. There is nothing to be grateful for, really. It was just a fortunate accident.
In the end, she sighs silently, and scrapes together the words of the foreign language before saying quietly in Elvish: "I do not know what your intention was when shooting that man, but you saved me a lot of trouble, and I'm grateful for that."
[If I calculate correctly, that means 4 gp, 7 sp and 2 copper per person, changing the bigger currencies, but I might be mistaken.
Also, the immersion that poster adds to the game is really appreciated. :) ]
The shaved elf cocks an eyebrow, the crinkles at the corners of his eyes showing that he's of fairly advanced years for one of his kind. He responds to the tiefling in elvish.
"My intent was exactly that. To shoot that man. Didn't seem a warning shot was called for."

As Droknin bends down to pick up Slobomir's body, the stranger that shot the arrow to his back reveals himself. He sees the weathered elf from the corner of his eyes. "I would have liked to keep this one alive, but I do thank you for your intervention." He then says to both Cassius and the Elf. "Well. To tell you the truth, I am here really for the Dragon, but it seems that everyone here are more concerned with these Redbrands. So, I supposed, I am here to deal with these troublemakers."
He then inspects the notes he found. "Wow, this is just not right!!!" Exclaims the Leonin with wide eyes. He shows the wanted poster to everyone indignantly. "Don't get me wrong, whomever drew this did get the body part right, but look at the face!! I am not evil, I tell you!!"
