"My small friend's friend. Okay. Somewhat cryptic. Feel like we need to dive into that one in the very near future as well. We need to get out of here. Quickly. Okay. Trying to think." Ida forces a smile at Peter, and stands back up, then walks to Hamish. She tells him that she believes they are in the Feywild, which it why it looks strange. She leads him back to the group, and tells them they are in the Feywild. She also tells them that they need to ask Darwin what he knows of it from his days traveling with the carnival. She suggests they head back in to the cave and see what they can get out of the orcs who remain now that they know where they are.
Darwin grins back at Volen, “Patience is a virtue, Volen. We’ll get around to you don’t worry. You aren’t our only prisoner”.
He checks that Antonius is with him carrying his crossbow, and then wanders back to the door to Gruuk’s room. He will listen to see if he can hear anyone within.
Hamish walks beside Ida as they approach Darwin at the entrance of the cave, and says, "I'm not sure he'd want to leave as we're not where we thought we were. I'll be honest, though, this place is so familiar. I only ever lived in Haukberg, or near it at least, but this place feels like I've been here before ... no, more like a memory of a place I've never been." Hamish seems far more willing to talk now, as he continues to look around with a curious eye.
We are in the Feywild, Darwin. There are special rules here, especially for entering and leaving. Did you ever travel to the Feywild with the Carnival?
Darwin looks a little surprised. “The Feywild? Yes the Carnival had links to the Feywild, it even had a crossing I believe”.
He thinks for a bit, “I am not sure that would help us though, the Carnival travels around all the time and won’t be back in Haukberg for years.I don’t know where the crossing is on this side anyway”.
He looks at his friends, “I stumbled into the Feywild years ago, that is how I found the carnival in the first place. There could be a way from here for me to get…home”.
Home. Hamish hadn't really thought of having a home in years. Even his time with Ida and Darwin hasn't felt solid, like it was a temporary blip in a life of always moving, staying on his toes. But if this could get Darwin home ... And Hamish couldn't deny that this place, strange and different as it was, felt more like home than any other place Hamish had ever been. "If we can find a way back to your home, then I want to help you find it."
'Are you embarrassed of me?' a sultry voice floats to your ears on the breeze. A slender, tall and inhumanly beautiful form saunters into the Cave mouth.
'Darwin, I'm almost upset.' says the stranger.
All of you are aware of, can perceive and understand the newcomer.
She grins, 'Well, of course, dear child, this is my domain.' she saunters forwards and passes alongside Ida, casting her eyes curiously up and down, 'Well aren't you an interesting one.' she smiles and looks back to the mouth of the cave which appears empty to all but Ida, who can see Peter lurking.
'So she's why there's an angel hanging around.'
Then she coasts by to Hamish who she smiles down at. She absently strokes his cheek with the back of her hand, 'Oh my sweet child. We will need to talk at some point.'
Ida cuts her eyes to Peter quickly but can't read his expression. An angel. Peter was just identified as an angel by a creature that just called the Feywild their domain. And she was called interesting. She knew to keep her expression neutral because whoever this was, they held power. And they knew Darwin. Apparently well.
Ida looked to Hamish to make sure he wasn't having an adverse reaction to being touched. She looked to Darwin who is just staring at this creature. She looks to Agnarr and Antonius and can't believe neither of them have said anything. She can't turn her head enough to see Volen. What is happening. After what feels like an eternity, she realizes she shouldn't speak to this creature until Darwin at least acknowledges that he knows it. She knows she is exhausted and has little power available for any kind of fight.
Darwin watches the Stranger closely, “These are my friends, the ones who have stood beside me since I got stuck in Haukberg”, he says to the Stranger.
He turns to Ida and Hamish, intrigued as to why the Stranger would show such interest in them, and at talk of an angel. “Ida, Hamish, this is someone I have come to know as the Stranger. They showed an interest in me shortly before we met in prison, and we have…an agreement…if you will. One of mutual benefit, although I have yet to be asked to provide any service”.
He looks a little crestfallen at this last point. “I assume that means now is not the time you will be helping me return home”, he says to the Stranger, realising that he has not earned even the gifts he has been bestowed, let alone his wish to return home.
Agnarr watches the newcomer with narrowed suspicious eyes.
Antonius with calm interest, as if in mild curiosity.
'Well, now that you mention it...' the Stranger smiles. 'We can arrange for some sort of agreement, you do a little something for me, I do a little something for you and remove you from this plane. The question is, however, where you wish to go, after all, Darwin, your home and their home are not the same.' she tilts her head, seemingly enjoying stirring the pot.
The stranger turns to look at the others she hasn't acknowledged yet.
She blows an admirative whistle. 'Seems you've made yourself some other quite powerful friends, my boys.' she arches an eyebrow, 'One big and oh so strong and another as sharp as a razors edge. I do assume the hippy in the cage is not on your list of friends? That could cause some problems if she is.'
The stranger walks past Agnarr and Antonius and then spins so that she is facing the whole crew.
'Truth be told, Darwin, you are already doing me a great service.' she announces. 'This... creature.' she gestures towards Volen, 'Poses a unique problem set. I knew she was here, somewhere, but she was oh so very well concealed. Until she made the mistake of taking in two of my charges, and now you've done exactly as I hoped and taken care of the problem anyway.'
She casts a toothy grin at Volen, 'You and I are going to have some long talks about manners, young lady.'
'Alas, she's not the head of the beast that concerns me right now, but I think you may have also deduced that little bit of information for me too. So very useful you have been. So, in exchange for, ooooh, your memories pertaining to your time here, and one other small favor, I offer you, and your companions, one single trans-planar trip, to be redeemed whenever you wish and to wherever you wish.'
Darwin frowns. “By your own words it seems that I have been of use to you in this regard already. As such you can have some of my memories of my time here, but not all. I do not want to forget how I was brought here, nor the details of our escape and what we have learned since”.
He looks at Ida and Hamish, “Nor can you have any memories that include my friends. That should leave plenty for you though”.
”And I will tell you now that I will not see my friends stranded away from home as I have been, so their home will be the destination. Now what is this small favour?”.
She purses her lips, clearly not used to be denied. 'I require any and all information pertaining to this Ladies plans and her accomplice.' She says flatly, 'Your friends will keep their memories of such events, of course, but yours I require.'
At your last question, she whistles sharply and a small colorful Dragon comes flying in. 'This little creature wishes to perform deeds of greatness that will prove him worthy of the love of one of my courtiers, he has come to me to facilitate this. Now, I am not prone to adventure and grand deeds, so I thought perhaps, he could accompany yourself and your party on your travels, so that he may achieve his goals.'

Perception: 10+1=11
You can hear the faint sound of snoring from the door beyond.
Darwin heads off to find Ida and Hamish.
"It seems Gruuk is fast asleep in his room", he updates them. "If we are to collapse the cave, we should wake him and give him a chance to leave".
Hamish walks beside Ida as they approach Darwin at the entrance of the cave, and says, "I'm not sure he'd want to leave as we're not where we thought we were. I'll be honest, though, this place is so familiar. Agnarr clears his throat, 'So, does anyone have any ideas on how exactly we might get back to our plane?'
Darwin looks confused at Hamish and Agnarr.
“Not where we thought we were? Back to our plane? What did I miss?”
We are in the Feywild, Darwin. There are special rules here, especially for entering and leaving. Did you ever travel to the Feywild with the Carnival?

Ida moves in front of Darwin, putting herself in between Darwin and the stranger. She smiles at the stranger and looks back to Darwin.
“Embarrassed?”, Darwin says unsure of why the Stranger would ask that. “No, not embarrassed. Why would you ask that?”.
“We are in the Feywild, do you know how I can get home? And my friends as well”, he blurts out.
Hamish blushes and turns his eyes away from the new figure, his young and often naive mind flustered by their entrance.

Ida cuts her eyes to Peter quickly but can't read his expression. An angel. Peter was just identified as an angel by a creature that just called the Feywild their domain.
