"We can try. We will need to remove these wings." He reaches back to remove them, then pauses. "Wait, didn't they say people without wings are identifiable as ticket jumpers? Does the staff have some emblem? If we take off these wings, will we be found out? I am uncertain what the rules are here and how things work."
Usagi looks at the wings and his robes, trying to find a way to both wear and conceal the wings.
(OOC - Usagi would try to ride both horses - wear the wings in case there's some sort of tracking attached while also not advertising that he doesn't belong in the staff area. Failing that, he would probably try to bluff that he found them on the ground and picked them up to make sure a ticket jumper doesn't try to use them).
You could cover them with a cloak - if anyone looked hard enough they might consider you looked a little odd - but a quick glance would just about be do-able
Garwin says "Let's put the wings under our coats/cloaks that way we have them just in case but we won't stand out." With that he finds a shady spot out of sight and takes the wings off followed by his cloak. Then he puts the wings back on and then cloak on top. He asks "How does that look?"
Garwin adds "We need to give a presence that we belong here. You know, confidence." He says it more to himself that everyone else to bolster his own confidence as he doesn't want to blow this chance to reunited with his sister.
As you quietly and cautiously walk up to the gateway - it closes - leaving a thick wall of thorns. It seems it recognises staff and even without your wings showing it would appear to be able to sense when "staff" approach and it doesn't consider you to be staff
Would you like to try and push your way through?
(OOC - apologies I had to have a tooth removed rather unexpectedly!! So have been out of action for a couple of days)
Garwin says "We can 1) wait and watch to see how others get in. 2) Force our way through. 3) When it opens for others we can join up with them and walk in. What do you all think we should do?"
“I think we should wait and see exactly how it opens. Maybe it has to do with what the employees are wearing. If that is the case, then we might need to…borrow some clothes from some staff.”
((Is there anywhere to hide so that the group can watch the door and staff?))
The Big Top is just behind you and gives an element of cover due to the shadow it casts - you notice the BugBear come wandering back again - not a care in the world.
As you all stand undecided a trumpet sounds and you realise the Big Top is about to start the next show ....
(Apologies all - have been off poorly - on the mend slowly .....)
You file through into the Big Top with many other eager spectators, you find a seat, together, just as the lights dim and a hush falls over the crowd. A second later, a spotlight illuminates a lithe, elven figure sitting in a silver hoop, suspended above the center ring by silk ropes. The elf wears a dazzling suit of diamond-pane mirrors and a pair of butterfly wings. His scepter is topped with a spinning vane.
“Welcome, one and all, to this evening’s extravaganza! I am Mister Light. Prepare to be delighted!”
The extravaganza involves several of the carnival’s star performers and attractions, with Mister Light serving as ringmaster. Over the course of an hour, Burly the bugbear performs feats of strength, Palasha the mermaid serenades you from a clamshell bathing pool, Candlefoot the mime plays silent games with audience members, thankfully you didn't get singled out, and faerie dragons with bright streamers tied to their tails perform dazzling acts of synchronized flying as a troupe of acrobats, clowns, and fire-breathers parade about.
As the show starts to draw to a close Mr Light again takes the floor - looking at the audience he asks you all if any guests would like to perform their own acts for the crowd........

OOC - Just MSN 2012 now :)
Usagi
"We can try. We will need to remove these wings." He reaches back to remove them, then pauses. "Wait, didn't they say people without wings are identifiable as ticket jumpers? Does the staff have some emblem? If we take off these wings, will we be found out? I am uncertain what the rules are here and how things work."
Would you like to take the wings off and try getting through the gateway - or would you like to sneak through the gateway with them on?
OOC - would a cloak be big enough to wear over the wings?
Usagi
Usagi looks at the wings and his robes, trying to find a way to both wear and conceal the wings.

Bluffing is always worth a try too :)

Pishon
Pishon takes his cloaca and covers his wings. He then looks to everyone and nods and starts to walk to the opening.
((OOC - if there is anyone walking by Pishon will just wave at them and give them a friendly smile, acting as if he works there))

”Well…I guess e can figure this door out later. I paid for a ticket, I might as well get some entertainment.”

“Agreed. Perhaps another avenue will present itself “
