Nice job everyone, All rolls above 20 with one nat 20. Your total is 68. The number you had to reach or pass was 40.
Josiah, you and Brythel find a small Creek of water. You are not sure of its source but the water is very dirty.
Torla and Bean, after searching for 15 minutes. You guys actually find another Canteen, Hanging from a rock outcropping. It looks weathered and a lil rusty but should still be good to use. Bringing the canteen count to 4. As you pick it up you hear something sloshing around inside of it.
Imras and Tyrvan, The Half-elves determined to make up for their lackluster tracking skills dart back into the trees that you all came from. Backtracking for 15 minutes you both scan the surrounding area before you Elven ears hear something, The sound of running water. Following that sound Imras is the first to happen upon a small pond filled with crystal clear water, It flows threw the pond and further threw a underground pathway. The water is constantly moving. Satisfied with yourselves, you let everyone know of your discovery. After drinking your fill.
Bean will immediatly open the newfound canteen and investigate its liquid contents. "Torla this is great, another container"

Tyrvan falls to his knees and drinks from the water. Before standing and clapping Irmas on the shoulder "Good job mate. Looks like we managed to find something with out getting lost."
OOC: Sorry for the spotty posting. It's finals time and I have a lot of students coming in with last minute questions about grades as well as getting ready for my own final projects and tests. Also, I am going to be leaving Thursday for some vacation time with the in-laws (yay me) so my posting may be kind of rough this weekend. If you want DM you can autopilot me if I take to long responding. But I'll try and respond as best I can. It'll just probably be from my cell phone.

"It's water, yes, but as dirty as it is it's likely to get anyone that drinks it sick, which is the last thing we want. We can keep it in mind in case we can't find ANYTHING else, but let's see if the others have had any more luck first."

Bean the liquid inside is kinda thick, it has a foul aroma to it and a sickly green-ish brown color. You have no idea what it is.

Torla smiles as Bean frowns at what he finds in the canteen. "We have a lot of options with this," she says, placing a hand on his shoulder. "We can dump it out and I can pray for food and water, using this and Josiah's three canteens to hold the water, or I can pray to have this water purified. Let's go find the others and tell them our good news."
Bean does frown at the thick brown sludge, even with the putrid smell bean will stick his finger in the sludge, pull it out and try to identify the goop,

Bean you have no idea what this is, but it is definitely not or has ever been water.
Bean wretches at the smell, "oh gods, i have no idea what this is, but someone for some reason put it in here and hung it up."
Bean hope one of the others might have an idea of what this is.
Ooc: the canteen was sealed when we found it right? Cause now im thinkng it could have been a small animal that underwent enclosed space decomp, which its terrible, i didnt see/feel bones did i?
The canteen was sealed by cork. You didnt see or feel any kind of bones.
For specifics, Josiah's 3 canteens are Metal and can carry a little bit more then 2 litres of water each.
The one you found is also metal but significantly smaller. It can carry around 1 liter.
Ooc: Ok so, reign said the elves get us after they gorge themselves on water,
Bean will shout out "hey everyone, torla and i found another canteen, its a bit smaller but it still seems good, probly only big enough for half a days water rations but it helps for carrying, also its got some non water and never was water repulsive goop in it, someone took the time to put it in here so i wandered if anyone wants to try to figure out what thus crud is?"
Bean wimpers to his passenger. " i know i could just try to drink it, but that didnt work out well with the berries, and i promised i wouldnt take unneeded risks with food stuff when we have a anti poison person here"
"If we're really curious about the contents and can take a 10-minute break, I can at least determine whether it is poisonous without tiring myself," Torla says.
OOC: In other words, she can cast Detect Poison and Disease as a ritual.
Bean laughs, "thatd be ok, we should enjoy the small victory of fresh water, take a break, and then keep heading to the ship"
Ooc: reign said this only took a half hour thats great.
Torla takes the new canteen from Bean, sits down, and begins praying.
Bean will go over to the clear creek, drink his fill then return and sit by torla to await to poison results.
Ooc: i am curious what this putrid mess is!
