Bean You spend 30 minutes foraging for wood and what you find can only be described as Scrap wood. Small twig-like branches and rotten wood, Unfortunately there are no low hanging branches on any of the trees near the Cave, so you cant reach them. You try jumping and swinging at one but you cant reach and end up dropping you blade with a loud CLANK echoing threw the trees.

Ignoring the question and response about Bean, Torla says, "We'll do what we can with this," indicating the meat Tyrvan is working on. "The mother was feeding the cubs something. We've got another dead animal in the back of the cave on the other side of the pool. I doubt this will be the last chance we have to skin and cook some helpless animal."
Torla picks up a small slice of raw meat and heads back into the cave, approaching Erik and the cubs quietly. (OOC: I'd say this happens after Erik makes his new animal handling throws, but the DM rules.) "How are you feeling?" she asks Erik not unkindly. "Why don't you take a short rest. I'll sit with the cubs for a bit."
OOC: If Erik agrees, Torla will sit with the meat and try to get the cubs to eat near her. To keep the story going, I'm going to assume the DM would want an animal handling throw: 21 ... and if the meat gives me advantage: 16
Bean you freeze in place and Open you ears to every sound in the trees. After a few minutes you Take a good long look around. You dont see or hear anything, It seems like just a little paranoia grabbed hold of you. Picking up your sword you gather what little wood you have.
Torla, Unfortunately all things cub related are on Pause until I get Erik's 2 Animal handling roles, Which happened before everyone woke up. His roles will effect your attempted AH role.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
OoC: Sorry for the long absence today, fellows. Was out running errands all afternoon.
Seeing that the cubs have shifted closer and even the black one is at least slightly more comfortable with his presence, Erik will cautiously extend his hand toward them. He'll also say another silent prayer, using his last spell slot from the previous day to cast Speak with Animals. As young as they are he doesn't expect to get much more than babble from them, but he's hopeful they'll at least be able to understand his intentions better.
Animal Handling for white cub: 15
Animal Handling at disadvantage for black cub: 3
OoC: Fingers crossed!
Edit: Wow, seriously? The disadvantage roll was higher?
The White Cub is aware of your presence Erik and while he does seem more comfortable around you, You can tell that he is still on edge. The Black cub has pressed itself up against your leg for warmth, She is very open to your presence. Both are definetly showing less fear and have stop crying. The Black cub sniffs your hand but the white one dosent go near it. He Dosent back away or go closer to you, He seems like he is still trying to figure out if he can trust you or not.
Ok, you cast speak with animals, What do you want to say to them?
Torla your rolls will come into effect after Erik has finished Speaking wth the cubs.

"There, there, little ones. We don't want to hurt you. We didn't even know you were here, elsewhys we wouldn't have even come near. I know you're scared now, being alone, but I promise you don't have to be either of those things anymore. If you'll allow me, I'll take care of you. Make sure you're fed. Play with you. Teach you how to hunt for yourselves. All those kinds of things."
He'll stroke the ears of the black cub that's pressed up against him but also look openly at the white cub, letting it know it's welcome to join if it wants.
OoC: Since there's a bit of a time difference, I'll wait for Reigntail's ruling on this interaction before detailing Erik's response to Torla's approach.
The Cubs look like they understand you Erik, The black Cub manages to say in a very weak and somewhat ragged voice "...Mom". The White Cub just stares at you, It's ears perked up. Turning its head to the side, "Hungry" Is the only thing it says.

"More like Dad," Erik replies to the black cub, who he's mentally now thinking of as 'Yang.' When the white cub ('Yin') speaks up, he'll give it an understanding nod. "I know you guys must be hungry, but we don't have anything for you just yet. If you can wait just a little while longer, we'll get something for you."
(Hoping that will be enough for them to settle down around Erik's lap to sleep for a little while, which he'll let them do.)
After a little while, when Torla approaches, he'll stroke the cubs' backs to keep them calm. When she presents the meat, and Erik understands where it came from, he'll nod for her to try giving it to them slowly, while he keeps them calm.
If/when they take the meat, he'll say with a sad smile: "Eat well, little ones. Let your mother give you strength one last time."
OoC: Alright, did my best to RP feeding the cubs their mother as at least SOMEWHAT less creepy, but I'm not sure I succeeded. It's still pretty darn creepy. And note, the cubs would not have understood that final statement, as the spell would have worn off by then.
The Black Cub(Yang) Does seemingly fall asleep again Erik, The White Cub(Yin) Does not. Instead it stays sat beside you Erik, Watching everyone move back and forth the cave. As Torla comes with the meat, They Eagerly and Hungrily tear into it and eat it.
That is pretty ****ed up you guys. Feeding a baby its mom.

Ooc: that was beautiful and romantic twist on an otherwise macabre thing.
Bean waddles back to the cave opening with a little bit of wood. "He he he, so found out my belt is loosening, probly from not eating. So when i bent over to pick up some sticks my sword dropped and Clanged real loud. Scared me nearly to death"
Bean grits a smile and responds As if to somone behind him "shut up they dont need to know that, and yes almost, or otherwise youd be running around, no one wants that"
