Looking at the grim scene of what happened to Patricia Grahl waits as the others search the house and her body.
He looks for some bedsheets to cover her up once Klok is done with her. I will carry her back to town. We should inform the Elders and make sure she is buried.
Grahl looks to Victors remains all but dust blowing away in the wind. This is no place to leave a body. And perhaps the Elders will know what to do next.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
At Grahl's good suggestion, Otis will grab a blanket or a sack.
"I'll grab Victors remains. Its evidence of the connections. Victor, the glassman, the hivemind. Maybe they can be used to track were he came from somehow."
Otis will gather up Victor's remains inspecting them for clues.
Roy nods and helps to carry. “Perhaps we should discuss two other things: what happened to Viktor when he touched the magic? And what happened that stopped him?”
As they move Otis will reply to Roy," I believe when Falken threw the potion at Victor, he or the hivemind absorbed its magic making him or it stronger. What the tentacles were, I don't know. Could have been the hive mind or something else. "
"The elders believe the stars represent us because we have more abilities than most and they started changing at our births, but from Victor we now know that six individuals survived creating the shield and a seventh out side agency finished creating the shield. The stars could represent them and the changes could represent their activities. That could mean the tentacles were from any of the other five or the unknown agency."
Klok: You examine the body and find all the signs of a woman recently having given birth and nursing a child. You can definitely tell the body has not been deceased for an extended amount of time. While there is some decay, especially on the skin and hair you assume was removed from the skull, the body has not started to bloat.
Grahl/Otis: you search around and find blankets to roll Patricia's body up in and a medium sized sack to gather the few chunks remaining of Victor's.
Klok looks over the dead woman's body checking for recent pregnancy and nursing marks. His face becomes sad before reporting to the group "This woman has recently given birth and nursed a child. She has been dead maybe 1-2 days at the most but not long enough for bloating to set in. It is safe to say this is Patricia and that the skull inside the golem was hers. This raises several questions in my mind.... 1. Where is their child, 2. If Brendan doesn't know she's dead, how long has he been removed from her 3. Was Victor being mind-controlled 4. Is Dezera behind all of this? These questions should be investigated and the ones you have all asked as well. Perhaps before we leave, we sweep the house and premises one last time for clues of their child? Klok makes the last statement as a question but hopes the younglings take it as a suggestion
Otis will nod at Klok's suggestion and search the house one last time checking places a desperate woman might hide her child, starting with any loft or attic he can find.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Falken, after realizing that the head is missing everything that makes it a head, will sprint out of the house, quicker than you all have ever seen him run. He makes his way to the side of the building and the sound of vomiting can be heard. After a few moments of that, he begins to make his way back to the door of the house. Remembering that he threw the vial at Victor, he looks over the dead body to see if the vial is anywhere to be seen.
Otis: You do a thorough search of the house but find no sign of the child, though in one of the bedrooms a small box has been placed with a blanket on the bottom as a makeshift crib. Going through the crib you find a few tiny objects that glitter in whatever light source you might be using. On closer inspection, you believe they are bright gold scales of some sort.
Falken: You search around for the vial where you initially threw it at Victor, but all you find is a fine blue dust on the ground.
Otis collects the crib and contents. He brings them to the others.
"I don't know what the gold scales are but this seems like a make shift crib. No sign of a child though. It seems we have a choice, return to the elders with what we know and have found, or track were Victor came from. Frankly, I'm exhausted and not able to give things my full attention. I think we should return, report, and rest then take up trying to find were Victor came from."
Klok looks up at Otis's findings"Golden scales...Hmm peculiar...Agreed we should head back. We should find out more about the others who created the shield amongst other questions."
Otis stops dead cold in his conversation with Klok and the others as Gillian buts in once more. Otis' expression goes blank and void as he addresses Gillian sternly,
"Gillian, What are you going on about?!? You've been talking strange since the fight with Victor ended, but I thought it was just thought it was the tired excitement that comes after a fights over. Now! Your speaking in half baked prophetic terms! Are you yourself, man?!?"

Otis stares intently at Gillian as he questions him.
“No one knows who they are until they have been tested by life… look how everyone in town pretended to be one way, and now acts like rodents scattering their fears about… get a hold of yourself Otis.” As Gillian speaks, he is simultaneously walking slowly but surely toward the direction he pointed.
He is done with those who are unsure of what needs to be done for now… “you speak of reporting, resting, and trying…. To me all I hear is ‘I don’t know’ and ‘I’m not sure’… so I tell you, be it victor or some artifact we need to end this madness, that is where we must go..” he points again… “you are free to be untrusting, or to be trusting… if you trust you were chosen, then trust I was too… if you do not trust me, I fear you do not trust even yourself…” he continues walking.
he messages Roy privately:
“I feel stronger and calmer, do you feel it too? After the last battle... My thinking mind was rattled and my body may be tired…, but my conviction and focus where sharpened… we can take on things we could not previously… and to be honest, there is no try or try not, there is only DO.”
“These are… complex events. We need guidance. I don’t know if the council is the best place for that. Perhaps the sergeant… or my uncle.” Roy seems perturbed and tired as anyone. “But first, Brendan. His child first.”
Otis shakes his head no. "I am afraid Gillian you do not seem to be the friend I have known. Nor are you actually telling us were your information of needing to proceed in that direction comes from. I have marked the direction, but I will not go with you at this time. As I said we are all exhausted, I will not scurry impulsively to another unknown battle ground when we are already spent.", Otis will reply
Seeing Gillian walk away he raises his voice to a shout. " I go to town to report and rest. Those rats you name are our friends and families, YOUR friends and family! I will not abandon them. On tomorrow I will return here and go the way you pointed, to see what is there and whether you still live, my friend."
Otis will gather Victor's remains and the crib with the golden scales before he turns to slowly head back to town. He will move patiently aiding Falken or old Klok if they seem to be having trouble in their exhaustion.
Klok takes Otis' arm and speaks to the group kindly but sternly to refocus the younglings "Younglings, we all want the same thing. We want to save our friends and families while figuring out what is causing the break of the barrier. If that takes us outside the barrier so be it, but to venture forth without supplies is folly. I and Falken are old. The blast of light, whatever it may be caused me to become stronger but quite tired at the same time. Let us work together. I do not know about Falken but going back to town and taking a minute to rest will do me well while you younglings gather supplies for the next leg of this adventure. I will do my best to keep you all alive but if the elders of town have healing supplies I suggest we stock up. It could be days before we return again. Too many unknowns to rush without a plan and supplies. Perhaps Otis and Roy are right. Gillian, that we all ask our friends and family for aid. I can talk to the council if the group prefers but let's not dawdle here any longer. Let's go to town, report to Brendan, and gather supplies"

Gillian butts in while others discuss, cutting off others… “time to leave the sphere...”
he points outward, the others no knowing of what he speaks. His face is stern, like someone who has thought about what needs to be done next.
“Warn the council or not, it is time to venture forth brothers.”
Falken will collect the blue dust and store it in his pouch, hoping that maybe, since it was magical, that he will be able to restore it later.
