Hermos chuckles at Dallid's analysis of the item, "Dun' know 'ow it work, jus' does, s'magic 'all!" He grins, "But yer alright in my books, all o'ya. Do right by Isolde and yer alright with me!" He claps Dallid on the shoulder - a gesture that was intended to be friendly but comes across more intimidatingly.
"I shall leave y'all in Tindal's 'ands. I'm sure you'll be wantin' to get on." Hermos turns his back, dismissing you all, before quickly turning around and adding, "Oh wait! One more thing. I got a letter 'ere for a kindly lass, called Gertruda. She lives in the Village of Barovia with 'er Mum, see. Well, dun s'pose you'll be 'eading there, but if you does. Well... can you see it get ta 'er?" He scratches his head awkwardly,"It's nuttin' much, jus'..." he looks at the ground, embarrassed, "Jus' be 'appy if she was to get it, s'all."
As you all rejoin Tindal, he looks dejected and downcast. "Had a bleedin' tour planned and everything,"he mutters to himself, "See to the adventurers Tindal, make sure they're taken care of Tindal, plan a tour, Tindal. All for nowt, bleedin' liberties, tha's what it is..." Upon seeing you all approach Tindal smiles broadly, "Ho! Over here!" He says with his usual vigour, "Trust that Hermos saw to your needs. Are you ready to get going on your journey? Excitement awaits, undoubtedly!"
Dadeveth nods to Hermos, accepting the letter. "If we come across her we will see she gets this." She says with a smile.
"Yes, it would be best to get going right off." Dadeveth says as they rejoin their tour guide. "Sorry we could not take the full tour, but I am certain it would have been amazing."
"Aye," Tindal nods at Dadeveth, "It's not to worry. There's always next time, eh? Make sure you all come back after you have done this business for Isolde, y'hear."
Tindal leads you to a particularly quaint, beautifully painted, horse-drawn wagon. A rather large, chubby, gentleman, clearly a Skurra, stands outside it, he wears a long orange cloak. "These the lot?" He asks Tindal flatly.
"Yes, this is 'the lot'," Tindal nods, "Just make sure you get them there safely, ok? I take it Isolde has seen to everything."
"Aye,"the Skurra says, paying little attention, "Hop on in then, one and all." He opens up the back of his wagon, inside there are a number of comfortable looking rugs and pillows. "I'm pretty sure we won't be stopped, but just in case, try and make yourself scarce. Bribed just about every guard within Vallaki. Cost a lot as well, especially given what's going on." he says shaking his head, "Not sure I'm paid enough for this."
"Just do as Isolde has asked Radu," Tindal chastises, "We could do without the commentary."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Th' carnival looks great, 'n all,"Cerio offers apologetically, nodding in agreement with Dadeveth. "Sure you'd do a great job. Lady Isolde went on 'n on 'bout how good a tour ya give."Deception: 24 "But we's on a job fer Isolde now 'n gotta get on our way. Guess we gonna hitch a ride wit them Skurra."
"Huh. Alright, then." Cerio nods at Radu as he hauls himself into the back of the wagon. He makes himself small in a corner, trying to make plenty of room for Dadeveth and Dallid. He begins to go through his backpack, making a mental inventory of his equipment, armor, and weapons. Once they're all settled, he turns to his traveling companions. "So, how'd ya end up at th' carnival?"
"Really she said that?"Tindal says with a smile, "Oh Isolde always plays it all aloof, but I know she means well in her heart of hearts." You watch as he wipes tears of joy away from his eyes, smudging his facepaint, "You all just take care of yourself, you hear."
Moved by your words, Tindal dips into a hidden pocket within his outfit, "Cerio, I want you to have this." He produces a vial holding a dense, purple liquid with an ovoid cloud of pink floating in it, "I was told that once you drink it you can tell what others were thinking. Was going to use it myself but decided against it, thought I'd rather not know. But, where you're going, it might be useful."
Dadeveth climbs up into the wagon and settles down. She pulls out the rapier as they prepare to head out, wishing to study it as they move along. (Will this be a long enough trip to study the blade or will I have to wait for the night and a longer rest?)
((It most certainly will - feel free to make an Insight roll in order to discern additional properties of the rapier. Also, you are able to attune to it without knowing all of its properties.))
Dallid and Ferelyon hop into the wagon without a word, seeming content to wait for the trip to be over.
(I am struggling to homebrew these items super well, but I can take a whack at your stuff and share it to you if we are put in a campaign page together)

((I also can't see to get the extra damage going - might need to roll it separately. Tried making on the Khopesh.

Cerio - ((see spoiler directly below))
Silence, solace, you are alone - you see nothing, you sense nothing. Then a face, the portrait of a man, floats into your mind's eye. Edrick stares at you through horror-filled eyes but says nothing.
You see his face twisting, turning, initially in agony, then his features change. A bright light flashes through your head, clearing everything. Edrick's face is replaced by that of the man you just met; the Skurra, Radu. A voice comes out of his mouth but it is distant, you feel as though you are in a dream.
"What happens if I am caught, Rahadin?" there is fear in Radu's voice, "I'm already suspected... I know..."
"You know nothing." The voice, dripping with malice enters your mind, it is undoubtedly cruel.
The only thing you see is Radu's large face, floating in your mind's eye, it is scared now, petrified. Its giant mouth opens, "I, I, I will do as you say Rahadin. Your Master, he'll be pleased by my..."
"Silence!" A throbbing pain enters your mind as the word is said, "Worry not, Worm. My Master always rewards his loyal servants." A jingling of coins fills your ears, the mouth on Radu's giant face turns up in a smile.
"Pleasure doing business. I'll meet you, as we agreed, at the gates of Ravenloft... with our passengers in tow."
"Good." The voice, of this Rahadin, leaves no room for further questions.
Your vision fades to grey, nothingness once more.
Dadeveth - ((see spoiler directly below))
Silence, solace, you are alone - you see nothing, you sense nothing. Then you hear it, sounding faint at first but growing louder, a familiar chant, “He is the Ancient. He is the Land”. Panicked thoughts enter your mind then, you had left that life behind, why did it continue to plague you? “He is the Ancient. He is the Land”, your mind screams but no words come from your mouth.
An image pops into your mind. A giant gold coin, the face, large in your mind, is the portrait on the back of the coin Hermos gave you. Its lips start to move, you are unable to shake the image from your mind, a dark shadow falls over the coin and it laughs. "I AM ANCIENT! I AM THE LAND!" it screams wickedly at you.

Silence, solace, you are alone - only you are not, you feel the comforting presence of Ferelyon beside you, but you see nothing. Then a face, your face, floats into your mind's eye. It looks at you curiously. "Well, I guess we must all start somewhere," Your voice mutters with disdain, "I had hoped that more progress would have been made thus far. But then, he always was a disappointment."
Similarly to before, you feel a prodding sensation in your right side. "Scalpel!" you see the face (your face) request, in a voice that both is yours, but isn't. "Now we shall see what he is really made of." You feel a sharp pain near your chest, though it is cut momentarily short - a reprieve!
You see the face in front of you twisting, turning, initially in agony, then the features change. A bright light flashes through your head, clearing everything. Screaming. Your eyes spring open, you are in the back of the wagon, you spot darkness outside. Screaming, followed by a wet thud. Could this be it? Could this be the land of Barovia? But what has happened? The questions swirl around your mind. But there is no answer.
(I have added the rapier in on Dadeveth as a simple +1 rapier for now. Will wait until she learns more about it to modify it from there. Did thee insight check I made earlier give her any ideas on it?)
((Ahh blast, apologies. Not quite enough I'm afraid - the DC is a little harder than what you rolled. I will assume that everyone also took the long rest to attune to their new items.))
Dadeveth takes a moment to compose herself. She hopes it was just a flashback to her own dark times, not a foreshadowing of what dark powers lay ahead of her in this cursed land. Once she feels under control she glances to the ones who travel with her.
"Radu may have betrayed us." She says softly. "I had a vision of him making a bargain with some cruel-sounding individual, to bring us to him. Let us see what is going on, but do not trust Radu for now." She would exit the wagon then if possible.
