The quaggoth lands one strike that clearly damages the mimic. With it's second swipe, the claws miss and his arm seems to get caught in a sticky adhesive. He struggles against it, but his fur gets matted up in the surface of the creature and his arm is pinned to it.
One arrow strikes the mimic, the other sails harmlessly past.
Phodoxia is next, then Kisiki.
Sarith would follow them, but he threw himself down prone in the webs to rest and will be gathering himself and getting his crossbow out this round, so Tanis can follow right after Kisiki.

Tanis had been ready to cover Petmailer with his longbow but fumbled with his arrow at the last minute. What would the old man, Markham Southwell have said of his erstwhile scout now? Shaking his head at his own incompetence, he finally lets loose at the mimic, keeping his distance close to the edge of his range based on his darkvision (60') and however close he needs to be to shoot through the webs effectively.
On a hit, he will apply his Favored Foe feature for 1d4 extra damage to the target, maintaining concentration.
The surface of the mimic's form ripples and shudders as it is covered with leeches that crawl about on it. It's disconcerting to see it shifting its form in patches as it tries to rid itself of the infestation. It moves five feet to its right, pulling Derendil along with it by his arm. The Quaggoth is confused and howls as he's trying to pull his arm free. Though you didn't notice when he was attacking with such savage fury, he has numerous wounds across his body and isn't in great shape.
Back at the top, Jimjar draws his crossbow and looks about "These things often hunt alone, but keep your eyes peeled. A few of them are smart enough to work with allies."
Vrah is up next, followed by Shoowaa and Petmailer
Vrah approaches the Mimic and slams his ax into its side, looking like he's trying to chop open a trunk. The mimic shudders with pain at the impact. Derendil is pulling at his arm, trying to get it free without ripping out all of his fur.

A ghostly hand grasps the mimic again and dark veins of necrotic energy begin spreading across its form. It's looking bloodied, but shrugs it off and the form of the chest opens wide with teeth growing longer and longer from the lid. It snaps at Derendil.
It's teeth sink deep into the shoulder of the Quaggoth and those of you close enough see drips of greenish acid pouring down its fangs. Derendil collapses. The creature locks its jaws down even tighter on his form and it begins slowly dragging its prey away in the webs.
"He is already dead." Vethna says with an angry glare towards the mimic and its soon-to-be dinner. She grits her teeth, moving closer, and taking a shot with her hand crossbow... To hit is an 18, damage is 8 piercing.

Eldeth is far from the creature and doesn't have a ranged attack handy. She jumps up, alert to danger and looks about for additional foes.

Spiderbait and Yuk-yuk shout "Not again!" and pull their short bows out. They each take a shot, trying not to hit Derendil.

Vrah will drop the rope and pull out his battleaxe and move to the Mimic getting within 10' and swing hoping to chop the thing in two.

Vrah approaches the Mimic and slams his ax into its side, looking like he's trying to chop open a trunk. The mimic shudders with pain at the impact. Derendil is pulling at his arm, trying to get it free without ripping out all of his fur.
Petmailer drops the rope as well and pulls out his bow quickly, sends an arrow into the mimic. “Hold on Prince, we will help you, hang in there!”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
We skipped over Shoowaa again. We'll let hi get his turn in, then the mimic will have a turn.

That last crossbow bolt sinks deep into the mimic's side. It stops dragging the quaggoth and begins losing its form.

You are out of initiative. Eldeth, JImjar and the others who are looking in all directions do not see any other movement in your vicinity.
