At Nikita's command, Thumbtack takes off in the direction of the nearest boggle, swooping down low to distract the creature. Attempting to take advantage of the distraction Thumbtack has provided, she looses an arrow at the boggle.
The arrow, similarly to Meresaa's firebolt, flies well wide of the target and almost strikes Toska. "Can any of you lot shoot straight?!"she barks.
Blue Boggle #5's Turn
The last boggle, the runt of the pack, runs forward, eager to join the fray. Once it reaches the gate it opens a small dimensional rift and pops out near the tree on the other side of the road.
Ermasnietsz & Nick Nack - ((You have joint initiative - same rolls/dex modifiers)) It looks like it falls to you to take charge of the situation. Though Faila managed to strike at the nearest boggle, both Meresaa's and Nikita's shots were closer to striking Toska than the creature. As the other boggles advance on your location you believe it will not be long until you are over-run. Furthermore, you currently experience a sinking feeling of sorts, knowing that you are truly alone in this land, isolated and cut off from help. It is your turn(s).
Ermasnietsz should feel despair and the sinking feeling of loneliness but such kind of emotions are integral part of her existence. In fact, she won't be able to discern the difference between her own feeling and the emotion felt by others.
She has been smirking at the view of the damsel in distress (Toska) when no one's been looking at her way. But, when the situation starts getting out of her hands due to repeated missed shot, she masks her expression immediately. She will bark command at Toska while moving 20 ft downwards and 10 ft forwards: "Toska, shove one of the blue creatures barring the way and knock it prone!"
She will fix her target, ready to pull the trigger of her crossbow after Toska's turn.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Nick nack freaks out…. “Aaaaaahaaaah!!!” And begins running away. He casts expeditious retreat on himself, running 60ft back down the road (left, just off the map) before skidding to a stop. “Oh no… The others!!!”
Nick looks back into the distance, and tries to be courageous… as courageous as he can be… “come on nack, you got this..” and raises his hand up to blast a long-ball-rocketing Eldritch Blast toward the closest standing blue thing-a-ma-boober.
Boyd grits his teeth and considers his options. No one to count on again - everyone's always looking to betray him. He moves south of the fight 30 ft and draws his shortbow. He takes aim and prepares to run if needed... but for now, he fights.

Toska grunts her approval at Ermasnietsz. "I smack it down, you shoot it in the head," she pauses momentarily, "jus' don't shoot me, alright?"
Choosing the better part of valour, the brave Nick Nack charges off back towards the town. After reaching a suitably safe distance, he whirls on the spot and fires a beam of energy towards the nearest blue boggle, striking it with uncanny accuracy. The impact of the eldritch blast almost floors the creature and reddish-purple bruising covers the upper right portion of its body. It is clearly wounded.
((Boyd - did you mean South of the map? Otherwise, you would be moving 30ft closer to the boggles (you came from the left (North)))
Acting quickly, Boyd moves off the road and assumes a defensive position, readying his short bow.
Toska's Turn
Following Ermasnietsz's orders, Toska barks a challenge at the boggle standing in front of her. "Stupid blue imp!"she growls as her muscles flex and tighten. With incredible ferocity she shoves at the wounded boggle, attempting to force it to the ground.
Shove (with advantage due to rage): 19
Boggle's attempt to resist: 10
For a split second, it almost looks like the boggle is about to evade Toska's attack. However, the powerful orcish woman grabs the creature by its neck, briefly holding it aloft, before slamming it down into the ground. "NOW!"she bellows at Ermasnietsz.
With a thunk! Ermasnietsz unleashes a crossbow bolt into the creature's chest. Though the creature still lives it is clearly heavily wounded.
Claude & Maud
"Bleedin' 'eck!" Claude exclaims as he watches the scene unfold in front of him.
He moves to follow Nick. "Wait fo' me!"he yells before midway in his tracks. "Wha' d'ya mean, can' leave 'em alone?!"Claude says angrily to himself. "Oh very well,"he turns, red-faced, and fires off a fire bolt towards blue boggle #1 (the second nearest).
Firebolt: Attack: 19 Damage: 5
As Claude nonchalantly casts the fire bolt, any observers would see the imp, Maud, imbedded on his neck moving her arms and making low guttural sounds. The bolt shoots through the air before crashing into the boggle, burning its face and forehead. However, the creature does not appear to be as affected by the spell as one might expect, shrugging off the hit.
Crawling its way through the snow-covered ground, the boggle attempts to flee from Toska, incurring an opportunity attack.
Attack: 18 Damage: 10
Toska is unrelenting, swinging down with her large great axe, she cleaves the boggle's head clean off its body. Blood covers the area, splattering on the fence and ground in copious amounts. Breathing heavily, Toska turns towards Faila. "Well, that's one down..." she stares at the other boggles menacingly.
Faila - You notice a change come over Toska, a blood-thirstiness, as she slays the boggle. Her gaze is now focused on the remaining boggles standing some 40ft away from you. It appears that, even with the gruesome loss of their companion, they are advancing towards the party with malicious intent. It is your turn to act.

Heart pounding and eyes wide, Faila snatches another frozen rock for her sling, and moves forward just enough to get in optimal range to sling it at the next nearest boggle.
Faila lets loose her sling at the nearest boggle (#1). The frozen rock flies through the air and strikes the boggle in the chest, causing it to howl in pain.
Blue Boggle #1's Turn
Cursing in a language no one in the party can comprehend, the nearest boggle runs towards Faila. It stops just short and proceeds to belch up a load of sickly looking oil in front of her.
Blue Boggle #2's Turn
The next boggle runs towards Thumbtack. Jumping up and attempting to strike the bird, unsuccessfully.
Blue Boggle #6's Turn
One of the boggles further down the road sets off at speed towards the party, stopping some 10ft short of Toska.
Meresaa - The pack of boggles are closing in now, though they do not appear to be the sharpest of tools, you feel that they should not be underestimated. Oil oozes from their pores and stains the ground as they run. Furthermore, the boggle nearest to Faila seems to have expelled a great deal of the substance, making the ground of it slick. One of the boggles is currently jumping up and down on the spot desperately attempting to reach Thumbtack but failing miserably. It is your turn.
Battlemap:
((Boggle #3 = Deceased. Yellow = 5x5 ft oil puddle))
Meresaa sniffs indignantly as she grabs at the bottom of her robe, hiking it up a bit, and hops over the low fence.
Looking back over her shoulder she stares daggers at Nick & Boyd. "Mr. Nack! Mr. Nilsson! If you're quite finished letting the women in your lives fight for you, your assistance would be appreciated!"
She take a long stride or two forward (South...? To the right) to get a better angle on the creatures and hurls another flaming bag at Boggle #2!
((Posting Nikita's turn here early, assuming Blue Boggle #4, who goes between Meresaa and Nikita in the initiative order, doesn't do anything game-changing... I am in the Pacific time zone and don't want to make everyone in earlier time zones wait tomorrow morning)).
It's happening again... I miss shot after easy shot as my allies are cut down... and these are allies I don't even know whether I can trust as I trusted my coterie... NO! Get yourself together. This is clearly a winnable fight, for the time being at least, and your allies are all doing what they can in their own way.
Nikita focuses on the most damaged enemy, who she thinks is Blue Boggle #2 ((who I believe took 7 damage from Erma compared to #1 who took 5 from Faila)). She sends Thumbtack to fly in the face of the strange creature, taking the help action, and then glide back to Nikita's shoulder using the owlFlyby capability to avoid opportunity attacks and 60' movement. Nikita herself then takes a few more steps further back (north?) 10' to get a clear shot at Blue Boggle #2 with her longbow, attacking at advantage again due to the help from Thumbtack.
Getting into position, Meresaa proceeds to unleash a fiery bolt at the nearest boggle (#2). However, rather fortuitously for the boggle, it hops up in an attempt to grab Thumbtack at just the right time and the spell narrowly misses. The bolt whizzes over the road before blasting into the tree next to boggle (#5), sending wood splinters everywhere.
Blue Boggle #4's Turn
Blue boggle (#4) bends down and touches at the gate's wooden frame. Moments later a dimensional portal shimmers briefly into view. The creature crouches and crawls through the portal, only to appear on the other side of the fence some 30ft away from its original location. It scrambles to its feet and hunches over menacingly, oily fluid leaking from its body.
Nikita's Turn
This time Nikita's arrow flies true, thumping into the chest of the nearest blue boggle (#2). The fey creature lets out a cry of pain and quickly pulls the arrow from its chest. Blood and oil drip from its wound yet it remains standing.
Blue Boggle #5's Turn
The remaining blue boggle (#5), eager not to be left out, dashes at full speed towards Ermasnietsz.
Ermasnietsz & NickNack - The curious blue boggles have advanced on the party's location. One of them stands within striking distance of Ermasnietsz. A couple of the boggles seem to be carrying wounds but otherwise, they are fighting fit. It falls upon both of you to swing the tide of battle in the party's favour, it is your turn(s).
Ermasnietsz places herself between Boggle 1 and Boggle 5, and creates diversion to grant advantage to Boyd. She will command Toska to attack Boggle 1 while sending instruction for Claude-Maude to set the Boggle 5 on fire.
Nick expeditiously retreats 40 more ft off into the distance down the road before turning to try to blast #2 in front of Nikita who looks injured… he curses himself for his cowardice, but also hopes his Eldritch blasts strike true…
”well blue blue to you too” nick sticks out his tongue and closes one eye: aiming his arm like a cannon:

((100% love it. Same as Meresaa's ludicrous paranoid accusations earlier. But it is Ermasnietsz after all so there's no way to be certain. 🤔🤣))
If anyone were paying any attention to her (she hopes not after her embarrassing performance thus far), they might see her stifle a smile at Nick Nack's retort.
Shouting commands to both Toska and Claude, Ermasnietsz manoeuvres around the boggle (#5) in front of her and creates an opening for Boyd.
Nick's Turn
Nick's Eldritch Blast fires true, striking the injured boggle (#2) and causing it to yelp in pain. It looks around, confused, unsure where the blast originated from.
Boyd's Turn
Taking advantage of the opening caused by Ermasnietsz's distraction, Boyd's shot takes the boggle (#5) by surprise. It is unable to react quickly enough to the projectile and it sinks into its side, staggering it.
Toska's Turn
Heeding Ermasnietsz's command, Toska darts past Faila and chops down on the boggle (#1) with her great axe.
Attack: 18 Damage: 14
Her axe slices into the boggle, cutting a wicked-looking gash in its side. The boggle's oil and blood covers the orc after she delivers the attack.
Constitution Save: 20
Whirling around towards Faila, Toska shoots her a fearful glance. "Stay back from me!" she screams at her, "come no closer!" Panic crosses the face of the powerfully built orc woman, her voice is higher than usual and more child-like. Forgetting herself, Toska runs away from Faila, attempting to put as much distance between the two of them as possible.
The boggle strikes her as she flees though she pays it little heed. Jumping over the fence she runs past Meresaa. "Keep her away from me!"she yells.
Claude & Maud
Momentarily distracted by Toska's uncharacteristic display, Claude snaps back to the moment at hand. Following Ermasnietsz's command, he casts a fire bolt in the direction of boggle #5.
Attack: 21 Damage: 5
As before, Maud's arms wave frantically as Claude casts the fire bolt. As it strikes the boggle it seems to have less of an impact ((hint)) than one would expect and the boggle seems relatively unphased.
"I go' it!"Claude shouts excitedly. "No' bad eh Maud!"
Faila - Everything happened rather quickly. One moment you were standing there, perhaps admiring the fighting prowess of Toska. Moments later the orc gave you a look of intense fear before dashing away from you. Your only conclusion can be that something must be affecting Toska's mind - could it be that oily substance emitted by the boggles? Best steer clear from being touched or touching the creatures.
Speaking of the creatures. Boggles #1 and #2 seem to be heavily wounded, both are sporting terrible wounds. Boggle #5 also appears to be injured. It is your turn.

As before, Maud's arms wave frantically as Claude casts the fire bolt. As it strikes the boggle it seems to have less of an impact ((hint)) than one would expect and the boggle seems relatively unphased.
"I go' it!" Claude shouts excitedly. "No' bad eh Maud!"

Farmstead Fight (or Flight?)! - Round #3 - Initiative
