"Well, looks like we camp, though I would personally like to keep going." Kathleen looks at the sleeping dwarf. "I would also try to steal his gold pants and bury them in the ground but I think that might be too risky so I think I will just go observe the vultures."
Kathleen tries to get as close as possible without risking the possibility of scaring them off. She tries to make out what the corpse is of.
Ghorbash has mostly been sitting back and enjoying the banter back and forth with the dwarf. The Half-Orc has never really though much of dwarves as they seem to be overly self righteous about the holes they dig in the mountains. Anyway, this little one has given him an opportunity to find his bounty sooner, so that is a plus. While the others make camp, Ghorbash sits back in solitude and enjoys the night air, while his companions go about some sort of business.
Adoy agrees to go try to talk to the vultures and follows to investigate, when they get close enough he will carefully reveal himself to the vulture and cast animal friendship on the vulture. he will then let Gris attempt to talk to the vulture.
not sure if Adoy can talk to a vulture, his ability only lets him talk to small animals.
Gris to the group "I am afraid that for vulters it does not matter if you are gnome, goblin or halfling but I will try"
Gris turn his spear upside down and gently kicks the spike. You can hear sound of vibrating iron. Gris does it few times so Voltures will notice him.
And to the voltures with slow deep voice "Welcome Patient Travelers. Do not be afraid. We are not here to steal what you need to survive. We will not do any harm to your wings neither to your eggs... Please help us Patient Travelers.. Do you remember in last three moons and three suns, creature big as my friend here [points at Adoy]. It was moving fast on a majestic four leg grass eater [horse;) ]. This creature was full of disloyalty, anger..probably also fear.. Please give me a sign if you saw it and guide us where did it go..."
The vultures regard you with black, beady eyes. Then, ruffling its feathers, one of them takes of, heading due northwest. It flies in this direction for about thirty seconds before abruptly returning to its meal. The vultures now pretend that you are not there.
Quite suddenly, as you watch, the vultures begin to act very strangely. They abandon the auroch carcass entirely, and begin a wild dance, a dance that no natural creature should ever attempt, flapping their wings, jerking their heads wildly, and shrieking all the while. The uncanny noises they make from deep in their throats sound terribly like a name.
"Vrock! Vrock! Vrock!"
To cap off the terror of the situation, monstrous black form appears on the horizon, flapping its way towards you slowly on titanic wings. Though the monster is half a mile distant, you can make out the shape of a monster in a terrible parody of the avian form.

Gris is surprised. He turns to his group "well i never supposed they will talk back. So it looks that the halfling traveled this road to northwest and ....ehm..they call him Vrock?". He did not notice the monster yet.
Realizing there is something unnatural happening with the vultures, Ghorbash pulls out a javelin, ready to throw it a moment's notice. "Something is not right!", he says to the group.

"What is that thing?" Ayoola says, her eyes wide. She will cast Mage Armor on herself (Wild Magic Surge: 12). She'll then look around for a hiding place.
How far away from the cart is this interaction with the vultures? Is it within sight? Asking because Ennis would have stayed with Dwinkle at the cart if everyone else was heading off.
Kathleen attempts to grab the two companions closest to her and runs as far as she can. Her eyes are filled with panic. She shouts as she runs, "I will not let history repeat itself! I will not let everyone down again!"
The massive beast, now only a stones throw away, lumbers towards you on the wings of a titan. It is a vulture, of such unnatural size that it seems to blot out the very sun as it sinks slowly beneath the hills. The shrieks and screams of the smaller vultures has now reached such a level of noise that you can barely hear yourself think, and the word Vrock echoes in your ears and threatens to shatter them.
The beast lands and opens it's massive maw, speaking broken Common in a terrible choking gurgle, using vocal cords not meant to form humanoid words.
"M-meat. Vrock eatm-meat."
It lunges, the two vultures flanking it and still shrieking the monstrous name of a monstrous thing.
Dwinkle wakes, and stares at the massive vulture for a full minute before comprehending the situation and letting out a shrill scream of terror. He grabs at the nearest person by the head (Ennis) and with a surprising show of strength takes them both down into the straw of the cart, still screaming.

Ghorbash stows his javelin and pulls his battleax, ready for a fight. "Finally, something I can kill!", he yells. It seems he has bloodlust in his eyes and has been wanting to blow off some steam since the near tavern brawl with Ennis.
The cart and the makeshift camp rest on a fifty foot tall hill. The carcass of the auroch, the vultures, and Vrock are situated at the foot of the hill, approximately one hundred feet from the cart. Ennis and Dwinkle lie in the cart. Everyone else needs to tell me where they are on the battlefield so I may set perimeters accordingly.

The cart is near by, about 100 feet. There is no place to hide, only open plains and hills.
