Dwinkle begins to look uncomfortable as you continue to talk about the subject.
"We shield dwarves are not proud of what has been done by our ancestors. I would prefer if we left this place, and the tainted memories that lie beneath this soil."
Kathleen calms down a bit and says to Dwinkle, "But the sins of your ancestors are not yours to carry." She then picks up the broken ladder from last night and says, "Regardless, I don't think there are any dwarves still using these tunnels. If they were, this ladder would not be rusted and broken."
Ayoola frowns and says: "I don't want to ruin everyone's fun, but if this complex is potentially so huge, we will use too much time and lose track of Merryweather if we explore it. Maybe we could come back at a later date, though?"
(OOC: That's Ayoola's opinion. Me, I would like to explore this. So feel free to overrule me.)
Presently you hear a mechanical yet unsteady clanking sound coming from the tunnel to your right, which leads northward. Mixed in with this sound is a steady chattering of an unknown tongue. The clanking and chattering draws nearer, and the sources of these noises will be upon you any second.
Ghorbash stands tall with this battleaxe at the ready. He's never really one to back down from a fight or anything else, for that matter. He waits to see if the voices come closer.
While Kathleen and Ayoola hide themselves, Ennis, Ghorbash, Gris, and Adoy, as well as the frightened dwarf who is running about wringing his hands and frequently bumping into people, stand in the center of the pit taking up defensive stances.
From the darkness of the tunnel the clanking is now loud enough to drown out Dwinkles squeals, and from it emerges some very strange goblins indeed.
From various parts of their anatomies sprout rusty mechanical appendages. There are four goblins. One goblin has a set of chains spinning clockwise and flailing about from an iron arm inset in his shoulder (he is given a wide berth by his companions), while another sports an extra pair of metal arms which creak and threaten to snap off at any moment. A third has surgically implanted plates of metal in his chest and on his back that serve as armor, and the final goblin simply has a sharp piece of metal, blade outward, in his head.

Adoy looks around for any foot prints or other sign that the tunnel has been used recently.

Adoy also attempts to hide stealth 10, and casts Magic stone, on a few of his sling bullets.
Think of a straight line running north to south. You are situated somewhere in the middle.
