The kuo-toa in combat with Kathleen and Ghorbash lash out again with their deadly spears, bubbling strange words in an unknown language. They are working themselves into a battle-frenzy, each kuo-toa feeding of the excitement of the others.
No worries. I usually make changes to my character sheet immediately as things happen. I do this because I'm forgetful and If I do things as things happen, I don't forget. Can you clear up one thing, please? The fish that bit Adoy is the same one that attacked Kathleen in the first turn right? Is it also the same one that critted her?
As Kathleen's foe fell to the ground from her last rapier attack and Adoy was about bash the fish's head in, Kathleen had thought the kuo-toa was done for. But then, it surprised her by suddenly blocking Adoy's staff with it's sticky shield. As Kathleen was distracted, a second kuo-toa's goes in fo an attack. Kathleen hears the footsteps of her assailant and turns around only to catch the deadly spear in her chest. The sharp metal tip pierces her armor, pierces her clothes, pierces her skin and flesh and finally stops inside her tall elven frame as it lodges itself in one of her ribs. "Arr... Shhhhh... *cough*" Blood sprays out from Kathleen's mouth as she coughs. She gets the feeling that the spear would have broken through her rib and sunk deep into her lung, had she not worn armor. She grits her teeth and grabs the spear with her bloodied left hand, pulling it out of her torso with one swift and powerful tug. Blood spews from the hole in her chest and soaks the right side of her body. As a rush of adrenaline and fighting spirit surges through her body (Bonus action: Second Wind. Heal: 9) , she attamepts to sink her rapier in to the belly of the kuo-toa that punctured her.
To Hit: 10 Dmg: 10
Edited to make this mess consistent with the DM's description of attackers.
The fish is the same one that attacked Katleen in the first turn, yes, but it was a different kuo-toa that struck her the second time. Don't worry, even though it does not seem like it, I have this under control. ;)
Hang on, if there are two fishes and one attacked Kathleen on surprise round, a second critted her on round 1, and then Kathleen attacked the second one on round 2 but missed; should the rapier get stuck or something?
Nevermind, you said that it bounced off the hide so I guess it makes sense.
Strength 9
Adoy's staff connects with a glue-like substance on the kuo-toa's shield and refuses to be pried loose.

"Oh, confusticate and bebother you sticky fish!" Adoy says, releasing his grip on his stuck stick."
Ayoola will cast [spell]Sleep[spell] centered on the pool so only the fish people are within it's radius. 15
This will trigger a Wild Magic Surge: 82
EDIT: And I can take one additional action immediately!
She will attack a fish creature (that's awake and already hurt) with Chill touch: Attack: 9 Damage: 7
The kuo-toa who bit Gris slumps to the stone floor at his feet in an enchanted sleep.
Ayoola cannot get a grip on the slimy body of the next kuo-toa and her Chill Touch spell fails.
The kuo-toa who caught Adoy's weapon now bites at the arm of the aforementioned gnome with rotten teeth. Attack: 19 Damage: 2
Kathleen is up and must make a DEATH SAVING THROW.

Wait, I thought Kathleen took 8 damage in this fight so far. Shouldn't she have 2 HP left? Or do I have to roll a save when ever she gets critted?

The attack is sadly off-target, and merely bounces off the kuo-toas rubbery hide.
Adoy is up! (minus the staff ;)

I forgot the Ghorbash is raging which grants advantage on Strength saves. So, here is my second roll. Sorry about that.
Strength Save: 7
Correction: Ghorbash rips his weapon free in a show of superhuman strength.
Adoy makes his move. (The gnome is up!)

“Ouch!” Adoy yelps as the creature’s teeth tear into his flesh. He will then disengage and run behind his companions while equipping his sling.
Ghorbash, blood boiling, makes his move.
