Kathleen nods and says, "I think it's a good idea to rest but I'm not too sure he headed for the Darkwaythes. (I'm assuming everyone has a map of Crabbing with them since the DM posted it here) There's a trading post to the north about 2 days of walking from Byting. Since Merrywheather was a part of a trading company, I doubt he has much combat training. I think he might have gone to the trading post (Edited in). He left the day before yesterday without telling anyone. I wonder..."
She turns back to the Screaming Eel and says, "There probably aren't any clues to his whereabouts in his room left. They most likely cleaned the place out."
She snaps back to her usual cheerful self and continues, "Well, nothing else for us here. Let's head back."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Adoy lets out a little sigh of disappointment at his failure to convince the party to leave town.
"Perhaps you are right, Gris. More information would certainty help. I was unaware of this trading post as you call it Kathleen, Gleamwood is my home and I have explored much of Grimmore marsh and the Untamed Moore, but as I said before the mountains are very dangerous, I have not often traveled there."
Adoy will try to hoot back to the owl he heard before, and attempt to draw it to him. animal handling20
OOC: Ive got the map, just trying to play Adoy like he has spent his whole life wandering the woods and avoiding civilization, and the Darkwaythes don't sound like a place Adoy would have spent much time (maybe a little in the foothills, but he doesn't know the area well).
The owl has since moved on by this time, to the frustration of Adoy.
It is now almost midnight, and all is silent in the small town. The moon is giving off plenty of light, however, and you can all make out the silhouettes of buildings and piles of refuse. Fisherman and their families are sleeping, getting a well-needed rest before rising at dawn to tend their vessels and check their nets for fish.
When the group will reach the Respite Kathleen will ask for a room (get some food if available) and then lie down on the bed.
(The next part may change based on DM's ruling.)
If Elves can sleep willingly even though they don't need it, Kathleen will sleep instead of going into Trance. Otherwise, she will still try to sleep for a good while before finally giving up and go into Trance.
Frustrated that his quarry has eluded him, Ghorbash retreats to the inn and gets a room for the night. He does not wish to socialize, and goes straight to his room and consider his next option. Thinking to himself, he agrees with the gigantic elf, and is starting to like her more and more. He wants to move on a fast as he can, and the trading post is a good first place to stop.
I may have missed it, but how much do we need to subtract for room and board?
If I recall correctly, DM says he calculates room and board based on everyone's lifestyle level, and it's tallied on each day, so we shouldn't need to pay anything directly for right now. (Unless DM says otherwise.)
Also, are you guys not familiar with hostels? They're not exactly the same as regular inns...

(I know what hostels are but I've never stayed at one so I don't really know how they work. I don't travel much)

I believe there was a tree in the garden behind the Hostle, correct? If so Adoy will find a good spot in the lower branches to spend the night. Before that however he dose come in and shyly accepts a meal. The halflings make him feel a little less out of place in this city.
From Adoy's point of view you are all giants. 3ft.
Gris wakes up, refreshes ALLTHEIMPORTANTPARTS in the water for horses and grabs his things.
He will move to the garden and as he waits for Adoy to wake up he will do the morning trainig routine that includes various attacks with spear and kicks but in the smooth tai-chi way

Gris "North is quite big and he is 2 days ahead. We need more clues"

Oh. Biggest elf I've heard of. Sorry, it's been corrected.
Damn, that means she's taller than Ennis... 0_o
[OOC i do not know how to create spoiler tab on mobile version. Gris is 7.5 ;) ]
(You can blame that on too much outside activity with a half-orc)

There's actually a couple of trees out in the garden/courtyard, so Adoy can have his pick! :)
Ayoola is 1.68 m. I don't know the
stupidAmerican customary system but a converter tells me that's about 5ft and 6 inches. Now is the time to subtract any necessary expenses, equivalent to your lifestyle. This will cover all menial costs throughout the day.
(Exceptions: Temple donations, Ennis' bribe)

You all awake to a pleasant and bright day 8:30 the next morning. The sun is shining, and all seems right this spring morning.
This is counted as a long rest.
Outside the hostel the town is already bustling, as the residents of Byting are almost all early risers. (Unlike some adventurers)

If Elves can sleep when they try, Kathleen will wake up in a cheerful mood and head down to see what she can eat.
If Elves can't sleep at all, Kathleen will wake from Trance refreshed but disappointed since she failed to sleep.
