Slade sees the rest of the group attacking or disabling the wyverns but notices one of the fallen rising through the air yet again. Preparing his weapon he let's loose with a shaft.
Rum clings on as the wyvern falls ungracefully through the sky. Seeing that it will likely come back to it's senses soon, and with the ground still some way away, he decides further action needs to be taken.
Releasing the claws of his right paw from the leathery hide, he punches out twice more, again lacing the strikes with draconic lightning energy and infusing his Ki into them to try and once again debilitate the Wyvern.
"Oh no, it's not time to wake up yet", he says to the Wyvern as his punches land.
He thens looks to the fast approaching ground and once agains summons his Ki. He has been able in the past to form spectral draconic wings to slow his descent and avoid injury from falls of a certain distance, but this was a far greater fall. He digs deeper than he ever has before, summoning much larger draconic spectral wings this time. Wings that form out of shoulder blade and spread out far wider.
Looking across he sees Keg spread his own wings and right himself and stop his own descent. Rum releases his hold on the Wyvern as his wings fill with air and the Wyvern drops away beneath him. Focussing now on Keg, he uses his natural Tabaxi speed in conjunction with the new spectral wings to fly across the gap between himself and his Death Hawk in a mere flash.
"Time to fly, Keg", he says as he spots the other Wyvern watching them. Keg does as he is bidden and flies as fast as he can, gaining altitude and heading back towards the others while keeping as much distance as he can from the Wyverns.
Rum: Action: Attack: Draconic Strike 1 (with advantage as stunned): (18,10)+9=27 Damage: 3+6 =9(lightning) (1 Ki point - Stunning Strike - DC 19 Con save or be stunned) Draconic Strike 2 (with advantage as stunned): (5,16)+9=25 Damage: 5+6 =11(lightning) (If not already stunned 1 Ki point - Stunning Strike - DC 19 Con save or be stunned) Special: Feline Agility - movement speed doubled to 90ft for one turn. Bonus Action: 1 Ki point - Step of the Wind with Wings Unfurled: Dash with flying speed equal to walking speed. Movement: 180 feet flying across to land on Keg (includes movement and dash) Defense: Until he takes damage any attacks are at disadvantage against him Reaction: He does have reactions, will post again if applicable
Keg: Movement: 80ft away from the second Wyvern back up towards the group Action: Dash - further 80ft away from the second Wyvern and up towards the group
The wyvern collapses further into unconsciousness as Rum leaps free, and its plummets the rest of the way to the ground. A plume of dust arcs into the air, spreading up and out as the wyvern disappears.
The remaining wyvern peels away as Slade sinks an arrow into it, making its way off into the night. It roars as it leaves, trying to find the one that had fled previously...
As the Darla gives an indignant honk of disappointment Delphinium seems to pick up on it and flutters over to them as they say "I'm sorry, you like fighting too? Want to spar when we get a chance? Can you use ki? Maybe I can show you how to summon cool fists like mine or better yet multiple goose heads! you'd be like a goosdra." The fairy apparently has no fear of a goose with the ability to summon an astral version of themselves. Others might not share this vision.
The fairy seems to take stock that two of the wyverns survived and only one killed. They seem delighted as their inner glow brightens a bit and they beam with a smile. "You are all a lot better at not killing then the dawn guard. I don't suppose you could teach them a thing or two? I might not be able to later." They flutter around as they look at all their new friends. They even nod to Rum as they say "It interesting to see you fight. Why do you keep your wings hidden? They were so pretty." They also look to Godshell and says to them "You shot cool beams of ice! Get it? Cool? hahahaha. That did the trick on scaring away one of the wyverns. They don't tend to like cold things. They are cold blooded after all." Lastly they flutter to Slade and say "Thanks for scaring off that last one. I was afraid another one would be killed and then the last one would be lonely. At least now they can comfort each other about their lost friend."
After congratulating everyone on a job well done and commenting on their styles of fighting the fairy nods in agreement to Rum as he says they should speed up the mission. "Yes, we showed them we are not prey. Should go a long way towards dissuading the other monsters unless something other then hunger brings them our way." As they get closer to the pillar of light the fairy looks it up and down trying to spot the triforce at the bottom of the column of light. "It's very pretty light. Do you think baby hydras like light? Hmm... Going to have to figure that one out. Oh! Also, the eggs are not for eating. I'm going to raise them like a proper fairy stealing young."
"I am able to channel my Ki in order to manifest a portion of the power of the Great Dragon, but it only works for a short time", Rum says to Delph in explanation for not using his wings all the time.
"I have never managed to produce such large wings before, they were quite...impressive, I will admit", he says with a proud smile.
"I am not sure how I feel about the stealing of the young, Delph. Lelith seemed keen to mould young ones as well and it came across as more disturbing and sinister in my view", he says shaking his head as Delph speaks of stealing young, his previously happy mood disappearing as his thoughts turn to Sorry, the young Kokiri whom Lelith had influenced.
"But you're fine with eating them?" The little fairy looks genuinely confused. As Rum just earlier suggested eating the eggs. "I thought people in this world frown on that kind of stuff. So, you're fine if I eat the eggs, but not okay with me raising the baby hydras to be friendly hydras?" There is a definite disconnect of cultures here. Delphinium seems interested in learning more about it though.
"In truth I was merely joking about cooking the Hydra eggs", Rum answers with a chuckle. "As for raising the Hydra young yourself, I have no issue with that, in fact I would be interested in helping with that myself if you allow it. Much like these amazing birds were trained, the Hydra could become a useful force for good in the world if trained properly. Rather that than a destructive force if left to be raised by their kind".
"It is a bit different when speaking of stealing the young of one of the so called sentient races. But that is a conversation for another time I guess", he says trying to avoid a deep conversation at this particular moment.
Delphinium seems intrigued to learn more about this line that mortals seem to have, "Interesting. Why make a distinction of sentience? What happens if you give sentience to them after taking them? My first friend was an awakened fox named Hemmingway. They were taken as a kit. Did that cross the line? Why let parents abuse or neglect their children? If the child is happy to have fey parents shouldn't that be a good thing? I can recite at least two tales of a fairy saving a child from a horrible life. Oh, have you heard about the woman with the evil step mother and sisters? A fairy took her from that home and put them with a prince. They lived happily ever after I believe. Even with the charm spell on the prince. Oh, I guess we can talk about it later. Oh, Godshell, you can do even bigger magic? I wanna see! Can you do it now? Wait... probably best to save your magic in case we need it. Also the flying things were call wyverns. I stole eggs from those multi-headed creatures down below. You can tame anything if you get them young enough. I want them to be happy hydras with lots of fey friends."
“I am sure you will get the chance to show us more of what you can do before the mission is over, Godshell. I expect the Wyverns are the least of our worries in fact”, Rum calls across with what he believes is a reassuring nod, not realising Godshell might not want bigger threats.
“These are not stories I have heard, Delph. Why do you believe you won’t be around to teach the Dawn Guard?”, he says remembering what the Fairy had said earlier and trying to distract them from the conversation about stealing young.
"Oh, umm... I might not be me after this. It's fine. I'll still be alive but maybe not me? Maybe less of me? Someone different? I don't really know truth be told. Maybe I'll be fine. I'm trying to prepare for not knowing. Which is scary." The fairy indeed seems completely unphased by giant monsters, evil gods, curses and other things but something has them unnerved and worried... maybe even scared.
“Is this something that will happen against your will? If so, I will stand alongside you should we succeed on our mission”, he offers, not really understanding but hearing the tone of the Fairies words and sensing something was not as it should be.
”I have lost friends recently and although we have not known each other more than a day, I do not want to lose another ally. Nor potential friend”.
"It's cryptic because I don't know what will happen. It's not against my will, it's a choice I'm making. I am being coerced though. Umm, I'm not sure you'll understand what it means though. You're not fey and seem to not understand what we are. No one ever seems to understand us... it's hard..." the fairy seems very concerned and perhaps even a bit lonely.
“If you are being coerced, then it is against your will, the choice you make is not truly your own. If that is not the case for those of the Fey, then you are right, I do not understand”, Rum says with a frown.
“It looks like the path to the pillar is clear”, he says refocusing on the task at hand.
"Until we get eyes on the Triforce and the surrounding area, any plan would be heavily subject to change, Godshell. Better to get the full picture and then work something out, even if that something is as as simple as let's go get it now! So be ready for anything", Rum replies with the flash of a smile. Not a joking around smile, he is deadly serious.
"Oh I'm going to have Havok Dart keep the three eggs safe from dangers. Right Dart?" The death hawk caws in affirmation. The three eggs secured to it as delph flutters around with rapid hummingbird like energy. Their dragonfly wings a blur of motion as they seem to effortlessly keep up with them. The fairy looks to the group and says "well, we were told the big bad terrasque has been amped up. So if you can still make me faster once we see it I say fly up high I'll grab the triforce then fly it back up as fast as I can then we make our get away. Who has the small mirror? I was told by Gandolf to get it to him with it once we got it."

DM of AURYN: The Measure of Devotion - Escape from New York
Darla gives an indignant honk at being deprived of her chance to fight.
“Nice work, noble Keg”, Rum says as he leans in close to his mount as they close the distance to the rest of the group.
“Hopefully that will act as a deterrent to any other creatures considering us as prey”, he says as he rejoins the others.
”Now, let us pick up speed and get this mission done”.
He scans their surroundings to ensure they didn’t attract other attention.
