OldMan uses his Arcana check 9+6=15 to see if he recognizes anything magical in the loom wreckage. He would like to cast detect magic but doesn't have time to do so.
Tubard hears a bit of shuffling noises on the other side of the door and then a male voice say rather flatly, "Go away."
OldMan does get any sense from the shuttle what it migth be or why it might have a faint magical aura. This was the only part of the loom that appeared to have any residual magical effect at all.
The door flings open and you see six humans dressed in very stylized garb emerge from the house. The presumed leader approaches Tubard, gesticulating with his hands in which is held a sleek, curved, and finely detailed scimitar.
"What did you just say about the dragon?" he says flatly.
As this conversation happens and your party assembles at Tubard's back, a dragonborn emerges from further south on the trail. Nobody notices him until he is standing with the party, looking from the back next to Galben to see what is happening. Galben glances over and does a double take, surprised to see the newcomer at his side. However, the dragon born simply looks on to the proceedings with what appears to be a stoic indifference, as if he were watching the most mundane thing in the world unfold.
As OldMan sees Tubard attempting to start a conversation he decides to move closer to the front to provide some intelligence to the attempt. Barbarians have their strengths and negotiations is not among that list. He pauses behind the massive Tubard and says to the human.
"Who is this group that lives among spiders, zombies and dragons? It seems likely you are likely more evil on this land like the others and therefore need to be eradicated. What say you? Give us reason to pause our slaughter of such evil?"
Jake taps OldMan on the shoulder and casts guidance. He whispers to Oldman "you have Ilmater's influence to aid you in your persuasion attempts with this band."
An aggravated look suddenly appears on Moonrakers face.
"I'm looking for a human who is responsible for the deaths of my only two surviving Infantry members. They were killed near Phandalin and i seek justice. I promised them I would keep them safe and i have failed in my duty."
Having seen dragons blood on the trail leading to the house, Moonraker is suspicious of the humans inside.
As conversations begin to break out amongst the party and the whispers behind the main leader of the cultists emerging from the house, the leader raises a hand and things fall silent.
The leader begins calmly, "Sheath your swords and your tongue while you're at it. We have no desire to fight you. You knocked on our door, after all. My name is Favric, and we are the Cult of the Dragon, seeking to forge alliances with powerful dragons along the Sword Coast. We recently tracked a green dragon here and have seen it roost in the ruined keep. I'd suggest avoiding the area unless you want to become a snack, elf. We've been watching the majestic beast of the past several days and have been waiting for an opportunity to approach the dragon and broker an alliance."
You can now see their dress much more closesly as you better understand the context of their presence in these ruins. THeir black cloaks resemble dragon wings, and the black masks resemble stylized dragon horns.
Jake spins and says to our group "Gentlemen, I seem to remember I left a kettle on the stove this morning. I think we should head home immediately and leave these fine people to worship their young dragon."
Jake moves to the back of the group furthest from the cultists.
Realizing what he seeks is not here, Moonraker turns back to Galben.
"Since there seems to be no fight here, and this house appears to not be who I'm looking for, does your band mind if I follow on your journey? I shall assist in any endeavors you pursue. I can be quite adept in battle."
Tubard says "Goodbye, dragon men" and shuts the door slowly. He walks over to Moonraker. Standing stoically to seem as tall as possible, he eyes them up and down. Tubard takes a slow breath and says "What can you bring to our party that we do not already have? It's clear we have enough muscle." He then puffs his chest out a little more. Tubard is wary of new members of parties.
OldMan feeling a little sad he didn't get the chance to tell the birdwatchers that their winged idol is laying lifeless on a wagon. Turning to the group he pipes up.
"Men I am sure there will be many future wrestling matches to find out who is the strongest, however this is not the place or time. I am not convinced these dragon worshipers are going to leave us be just because we closed the door on them. Let us quickly move down the road before we get in another scrum with another group of horrible people. I assume that this new giant is not a threat to the group. Let's go"
"You are welcome to accompany us, but I'd reply to Tubard first he hates it when people don't respond to him"
(Looks at OldMan)
"Should we return to the druids home?"
(Keeping an eye on the door Tubard just closed Galben readies an arrow to shoot in case the men inside come out and show aggression towards the group.)
"What military would not accept more might? I can offer another strong arm of support, as you say you have enough muscle, though I see a few of you are... bruised. I can also speak Draconic in case you run into any more dragons or their fanatic following. "
Moonraker pauses a moment and says with a teasing smirk:
"Some good looks wouldn't hurt the group either."

Tubard knocks on the door to see if anyone answers
OldMan uses his Arcana check 9+6=15 to see if he recognizes anything magical in the loom wreckage. He would like to cast detect magic but doesn't have time to do so.
"We just took care of that green dragon, zombies, and spiders. Just wanted to let you know that it is safe out here now."
OldMan takes the shuttle and puts it in his backpack and then hurrys to catch up to the group.
As OldMan sees Tubard attempting to start a conversation he decides to move closer to the front to provide some intelligence to the attempt. Barbarians have their strengths and negotiations is not among that list. He pauses behind the massive Tubard and says to the human.

OldMan rolls persuasion 18+3+2=23.
"I am a man of logic and intellect but your god sure does bring our band good fortune. Thank you Jake. You both are good for us to have around."
(Galben looks at the dragonborn)
"Hello, I'm Galben, what is your name and where did you come from?"
Amused by the threat of a slaughter, he responds, still keeping an eye on the human in the doorframe.
"The name's Moonraker, from Nalgine. Former Colonel of the Guard of the Eternal White Flame. Sounds like your friend is in search of a fight."
(Bearkiller walks up behind the dragonborn. Looks and Galben)
(Galben give Bearkiller a nod that the dragonborn is currently not a threat. Galben looks at Moonraker)
"I'm not sure what their intentions are at the moment. What brings you to this dangerous area?"
An aggravated look suddenly appears on Moonrakers face.
