The goblin jerks awake, squeals at the sight of you standing over him, and pulls against the rope. After a few seconds of physical struggle, he accepts his fate and relaxes, muttering something in Goblin that Tristan understands to be curse words.
"Listen you filthy rat, you explain what happened here, and where are the people that were travelling on that wagon, and *maybe* we'll let you live. Are there more greenskins in the area? Speak!" Sig grabs the goblin by his rugged leather "armor" and shakes him up a bit.
"You speak, and you live until the next time we meet again, is that simple".
Zaiden actually avoids being too close to the captive. He doesn’t speak Goblin anyway and figures if he doesn’t see it, he doesn’t have to decide on his position on torture…
Instead Zaiden goes back to their cart and checks on that, and coaxes it up to where the battle happened. He then goes about moving all the corpses to a pile next to the horses. No reason to little the entire roadway. All the while he will keep his mind off the gruesomeness by whistling a jaunty, happy tune totally incongruous with the scene.
"I speak, I live. You let me go, yes? I run far away."
He awaits acknowledgment, then continues.
"We live with more goblins in cave. More than this many," he says, holding up his ten fingers. "Klarg told to capture dwarf, so we do. He and human taken to cave."
He waits to see if he's pleased you, flinching a bit to see if you'll strike him.
Tristan steps forward, and places a hand on Sig's shoulder. "Easy now." She says in a low voice.
The woman couches down to be eye height with the goblin, her armor noisily shifting as she moves. "My friends here aren't happy about being attacked. You understand, don't you? Did Klarg tell you what he wanted with the dwarf and human? Do you like working under them? Like living in the cave? With just the information you've given us, we can let you go with your life. We could help you though, if you help us."

"Good choice" Sig shakes the goblin a little until Tristan calms him down a little. His history with orcs and goblins clouding his good judgement for a second.
"Answer my friend here, and we'll talk about the terms of your release then." Sig smiles a little bit, looking at Tristan, wondering if she's catching up with his plan.
"We have ourselves a goblin guide to a cave apparently!" He thinks, amused.
Seeing that his companions have interrogating the goblin handled, Finn moves away from Sig and Tristan as they continue to question the creature. Intrigued by what the goblin mentioned about someone ordering him to capture Gundren and that Gundren and Sildar have been taken to some sort of cave, he looks around for somewhere safe they could hitch the wagon and the oxen while they explore wherever this might lead them
The goblin looks grateful for Tristan's intervention. "Yes. I help. We live in cave. Follow path and you find cave." He nods north towards the beaten path you've already found.
"Klarg keep human but dwarf go to King. You friends with human and dwarf? Go get them. I no return to cave."
He starts to quiver and panic, pulling on the ropes, but the effort is hopeless and he stops after a few short seconds. "Let me go! I leave you alone, no steal your stuff! I run away!"
@Finn
You have no issue finding a space for the wagon and oxen that is suitably hidden from the road. A tree near the space seems a secure place to tie the oxen, and there's plenty of foliage and enough distance such that passersby on either the Triboar Trail or the goblin path should go by without noticing them.
"Oh no, my friend, I told you I'd release you, and I'm going to keep my word, but you're coming with us and you're going to tell us exactly what to expect in that cave. And you better do a good job so we can survive, otherwise, the other goblins and your "king" will know exactly who told us their location."He smiles and puts the goblin down, still grabbing him by his armor, and looks at Tristan and the rest of the party.
"I think our little green guide will lead us to Gundren and Sildar, RIGHT?" He shakes the goblin a little bit as if he was dealing with a malfunctioning marionette.
It seems like Tristan was playing Good Patrolman. Not that it seems to bother her, as she tries to brush Sig's hand aside. "We'll give you a bit of food if you assist us. Do you like money? We could give you some if you do a great job."

The goblin looks back and forth between Sig and Tristan, apparently calculating his odds of surviving this encounter. Briefly at the mention of coin, his eyes get wide and a smile creeps onto his face, but then he feels the pull of the ropes and scowls.
"I tell you about cave. I tell you about human and dwarf. You let me go, yes? Still I am tied up. You offer money now? I tell you what you want and likely I see no money and still tied up. I done talking to you until I free."
Finn hitches the wagon and the oxen in the space he found and then walks back over to Sig and Tristan, who are still standing over the goblin. He stands next to them and whispers to both of them, saying
"Are we really keeping this goblin around? I'm sure we could follow the path northward and find the cave without him. He's not going to say anything else unless we untie him, and if we untie him, he'll just run away and warn the others. We can't afford to let that happen, and I doubt he's going to be of much use anyway"
"I say we take it with us to the cave" says Emrin "That way it has no chance to double cross us, and if we march it out front it will warn us about any traps"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"We are not using him as a shield... Or as bait," Zaiden says, having had enough of this and walking back to the grouping of everyone. "We are not killing this Goblin, nor further terrorizing it."
Zaiden walks up and interposes himself between the Goblin and the party, protectively. "He will stay with me. Bound and gagged... Sorry fella... And I will ensure he causes no mischief while we try to get our employers back. Once we are done, assuming he causes no problems for us, he goes free. Safely, unabused," Zaiden proposes to the group, and the Goblin.
"Is it a deal?" he asks the Goblin directly. "We bring you with us just to make sure you don't warn anyone about us. You'll be bound and gagged for our safety. But I promise you, you will live at least as long as I do... And if I survive it, you are set free. Your side of the deal is to try no mischief, and not try to escape. Agreeable?"

Sig mantains his grip on the goblin, as Zaiden tries to protect him, but stops shaking him. "I´d suggest you take the deal, scum!"He turns to Zaiden and the rest of the party. "Tribes like his' have been assaulting these roads and towns like mine for years now, and 5 minutes ago he was actively trying to kill us! Letting him survive after he guides us through his cave is merciful enough!"
"So? Do we have a deal?" He grunts to the goblin, moving him closer to Zaiden, as if that could convince him somehow.
Tristan sighs, standing back up. "How much of it was Klarg's fault, ordering them to do it? He did try to attack us, yes, but wouldn't it be better to have them fix their mistake? By helping us, they'll in turn be helping save Sildar and Gundren. Showing some kindness could help them be set on a good path."
She doesn't really seem to notice how much she sounds like a 'pure hero' cliché.

Finn unties the goblin's feet and unties the end of the rope that is attached to the tree, keeping the goblin's hands bound and using the rope almost as a leash. He hands the rope to Tristan, allowing him to lead the goblin wherever they go, and saying
"Fine, we'll keep him around, but if he tries to warn anyone or does anything else to make him more trouble than he's worth, I'm getting rid of him. Let's get going. We've waited here for far too long already"
With that, he stores the piece of rope that was around the goblin's feet in his pack and prepares to follow the path the goblin said leads to the cave
Sig nods to Finn, and as the party begins to walk, he stays behind a little bit, without losing sight of the goblin focusing on his every movement to see his reaction. To his knowledge, goblins are not that particularly loyal to any boss nor king, so the chances of him trying to alert the rest of the goblins in the cave are slim, however, he's not willing to take any chances and watches him closely.
"So... more than 10 goblins huh? Are we sure we can take them all if they attack all at the same time? Plus, a cave might be quite dark, we might need to ready a torch or something..."
