(Anyone who needs cold weather gear can mark off 1gp as the gear is easily found in this area. Will proceed to the next morning soon unless there's something y'all wanted to do this day still!)
Cade is a young human, about 20 years old. Naturally rather lanky, his armour and heavy fur coat still give him a certain bulk as he moves about. He has reddish brown hair and a face that, while not handsome, is easy enough to look at. Or would be, if it wasn’t for a large and newish scar on his left cheek that is just small enough to not border on being disfiguring. Cade carries a large sword on his back.
Now that Cade has purchased more gear, he also wears bulky winter boots, a rather comical looking fur hat with ear flaps and a large backpack with a puffy sleeping bag tied to the top.
The next morning is crisp and clear, with a stiff breeze that only adds to the chill already in the air. Elro is waiting for you down at the docks by the Remorhaz, outfitted with sailors and supplies from the Grassblades. "Ah good, you're here, we're just about ready to depart. You will be going to Syrinlya, an Uthodurnian outpost on Foren, Eiselcross’s largest island. Once there, you should talk to a dwarf named Orvo Mustave, who has gone on numerous expeditions into the wilds of Eiselcross with Urgon Wenth. Once you have found the cure, use any you must on yourselves first, then bring the rest back to an elf in Syrinlya known as -The Buyer-. They will be able to teleport the vials you find back here." He rubbed his hands together a bit. "Well, any last questions?"
“We’re good, Sir. We’ll do what we can to brin’em help.” Cade shakes Elro’s hand and then walks up the gangplank. “Come on doc! This ‘ere is like home to ye!”
Gellwin was somewhat nervous about his first trip on a boat but he kept that to himself, there were childrens lives in the balance. He marched onboard....
Bones shakes his head while looking at the ship. "I was an officer on a first rate frigate. That isn't a ship, it's floating desperation!" He shakes his head ruefully, a smirk on his face. "At least the journey will be short." He approaches the gangway, and reflexively calls out, "Permission to come aboard?" Once granted, he walks up the gangway, testing the wood as he does. Grumbling aside, once the ship is underway, the doctor is noticeably more at ease.
Once on the ship, Cade assumes that he will be required to work and will do so as best he can. Other than that, he will keep to himself and his friends, as he is not used to ships and their crews.
There isn't any fanfare as you all board the vessel, though a couple of other passengers cast a slow glance at you before staring back out at the chilly waves. None of you are required to help, though doing some of the work helps keep you limber and warmer as the boat slowly makes its way across the sea. About five days in though, you hear a shout from the front of front of the ship, and looking out, it becomes apparent there is another ship coming your direction. A much larger ship, dark in color including dark black sails.
"A first rate frigate. I left a first rate frigate of a world class navy, only to die onboard a frozen coffin." Bones looks out at the oncoming ship, his head shacking in dismay.
As the dark ship gets closer, the crew of your own gets visibly nervous, and the other passengers shrink back defensively a bit as it starts to come alongside you all. Up this close you can see the ship is remarkably deserted, save for a lone figure standing on the side of the deck.
As the ship pulls up alongside, Cade intently watches the figure on deck. Then he moves up to one of the crew members. “What are we loo’ing at here? Pirates?”
Another dwarf next to you grunts and shrugs. "A lone pirate? Unlikely. There's somethin' unsettlin' about it though, I give ya that." A moment later the figure on the ship throws off the cloak it was wrapped in, revealing a slender human female with raven black hair and a tattered black dress that barely covered her up as the wind whipped around her ship. The captain comes around and curses loudly. "This blasted lady has been at this for weeks now!" A shriek and call suddenly comes from the woman, "WHERE ISSSS MYYYYY CRYSTALLLL!!!!!!"

(Got it, I’m ready to proceed)
For the record, here is Cade’s description:

(good to move on to the next day as well)

" Orvo....the Buyer....got it. Lets go!"
Grumbling aside, once the ship is underway, the doctor is noticeably more at ease.
Cade smirks at the doctor. “When ye say short, ye do think she’ll make it to Syrinlya? No shor’er than that, right?”
Bones gives Cade a wicked smile, then shrugs. "We'll see!"
Once on the ship, Cade assumes that he will be required to work and will do so as best he can. Other than that, he will keep to himself and his friends, as he is not used to ships and their crews.
(I'll get your voyage to Syrinlya soon, but everyone go ahead and level up to 2 everyone!!!)

“Well… that’s not good.” Petros stands up from a bench and unsheathes his daggers and attempts to see how many people are on the opposing ship.
Perception: 15
(Impossible to tell from this distance)
" There are others sailing out here? On purpose?"

Gellwin waved somewhat hopefully to the lone figure.....
