“I could do with a bit of rest. Them bandits in the shop beat me up quite somethin.” Cade suggests to the others before leaving town. “What do ya think?”
Perception roll for the shop: 18 (well, so much for that…)
“Let’s rest in town before we leave. Maybe find an inn or something.”
Cade nods. "Just what I was thinkin."
When the party reaches the inn, Cade settles down on a bench against the wall. He takes off his sword and chain mail and shows his arms to Bones. "A few scrapes here'n there".
Upon examining Cade, Bones begins a healer's chant to Pelor. Almost instantly, light starts emanating from his hands, and he touches Cade's injuries. They close up and heal fully. "Sorry I didn't check up on you faster, it's been sometime since I've acted as a combat medic." A half smile crosses his face as if he is reminiscing about older, better days.
(( McRoy does 1d8+5 healing, so my minimum is 6, no need to roll ))

Cade nods and smiles. "Ye have me thanks! And where did ye serve, friend?" He inquires.
Bones smiles broadly, "I had the great honor of being the ship's doctor aboard the Enterprise! She was a full-rate frigate of the Tal'Dorei Navy, and oh what a sight she was. We mainly patrolled neutral waters for foreign incursion, smugglers and pirates. But, we also did several diplomatic and trade escort missions that took us everywhere." His expression changes from excited to somber. "Then, like a fool, I retired to marry and settle down..." He looks suddenly very down, and grows quiet in his own thoughts.
"Ho, I did not take ye for no navy man! Very good. Me, I was two years with Lord Wobblethorn's Crimson Curators. Served at Hindo, Zhad and Mad Bulls. After that the regiment was disbanded, of course..." he trails off.
Cade suggests to stay the night at the lodge. If the others agree, he is ready to head out to the cave early next morning.
Petros winces as he moved his shoulder. “Perhaps it’s a good idea to rest for the night, but maybe we should also attack the cave the next night. Sleeping bandits are easier to deal with.”

"Alright, I'm clearly slipping up. You're injured too? Let me see!" (( How bad?))
“Could be worse. Got slashed a couple times. I’m glad we did worse to them.” (7/12 health, I need the long rest more for recharging spell slots than healing.)
"Look everyone, if you get so much as a scratch you TELL me about it right away! We're dealing with a contagion, and all of us need to be at full health." Bones isn't actually angry, but he's giving 'the voice' that a doctor might give to a patient who isn't taking their medical advice seriously.

(@Gnomes how far from the town is the cave?)
Bones walks over to Cade. "Let me have a look at you." (( How bad do you look? ))
The cave is just outside the north end of town, a short walk of less than hour by foot.
(No you haven't taken a long rest but you're welcome to!)
(Nothing turns up in the shop other than the frozen shopowner)

(@bones Cade is actually at 6/12 hp)

(There is a large meeting house where you can stay, called the "Winter's Tit Lodge". When you all want to rest.)

Gellwin crouched in the corner of the boarding house staring at the flames that danced in his palm.

“Sure, whatever you say.” Petros says in an unclear tone.
" Fire. My Great Aunt says its a blessing of the Underforge that it burns in me.......but I don't feel very blessed."
Cade looks interested and nods politely but does understand little of what Gellwin says.
Soon he retires to the sleeping quarters. “Gotta rest me head. Let’s look af’er the cave in the mornin.”
Gellwin goes to sleep in the corner.
