Sylyra scowls at the stranger, and positively frowns at Hex's warning. But he follows along with the crowd, knowing it's unlikely the Welcomers want to offer them anything good.
OOC: Back after a nightmarish 30 hour day of travel.
The elf is waiting about 20 feet into the alley, and once you begin to follow he sharply turns and begins walking further. The alley runs ahead of the man for about 100 feet before turning sharply to the right.
Briny's pupils widen as her heart beats faster, but the only other outward sign that she isn't just blindly following the messenger is the sparks of static electricity that quietly snap between her fingers for a few seconds. Otherwise she keeps walking.
(Ready shocking grasp in case she is attacked in melee range))

OOC: Not much can be heard above the din of bartering, laughter, and horses whinnying among the din of passersby in the streets. There's not an easy path to the roof in the immediate vicinity.
As you turn the corner in the alley, it opens into a cul-de-sac about 40 feet across. The elf stops suddenly in front you and turns around, a wide grin on his face. Almost as if on cue, two halflings outfitted in chain shirts step out from behind piles of rubbish and crates, cutting off an easy escape with their spears held outward toward you.
"You've had your nose where it doesn't belong," the elf says coolly, "time for us to bloody it."
OOC: The party has won Initiative and can take the first set of actions. Actions will be resolved in the order posted. All combatants are currently within movement range of one another, with the party in between the halflings blocking the exit and the elf that brought you here.

Brinyquickly draws a dagger from her belt, then looks at one of the halflings and mutters a few arcane words. She will move if she can to the center of the group, or anywhere that looks the most protected.
Action - Mind Sliver: Intelligence saving throw DC 13 or take 2 psychic damage and must subtract 1d4 from its next saving throw before the end of my turn.
Movement - Whatever is necessary to get to the middle-ish of the group or other somewhat protected area.
His face mostly in shadow, the corners of Sylyra's mouth turn up. The ambush as given him a sense of vindication. He flexes his arm, folds the fingers of that hand into a tight fist, and growls a quick incantation. Small motes of light fall from the mistletoe hanging from the end of his staff, and the ground at the feet of the two halflings cracks and crumbles as vines and thick weeds quickly rise and attempt to grasp onto their short legs.

Uragum sighs and then rolls his shoulders loosening up his muscles. Taking stance, hr looks at the two halflings and the vines twisting up. Taking advantage he aims at the most restrained.
Will aim at the halfling restrained. If both are shoot the one on the left, if neither are, shoot the one on the left. I'll roll separate attacks for ease. Take the first if neither are restrained
The entrance of the alley suddenly becomes overrun with plant life. Vines twist up and out of nearby crates at Sylyra's command to nearly engulf one of the halflings. Uragum unleashes lightning into him while he struggles and fails to break free. The elf barely scrambles away from Hex's quick aim, then charges Uragum from behind, slamming his mace twice into the goliath's back. The lighting pouring from his hands crackles and dissipates. "Now, Fulta!" he shouts, and a barrel bursts open at the end of the alley, revealing a halfling woman wearing leather armor with an arrow already drawn into her shortbow. The arrow flies through the cul-de-sac, planting itself painfully into Uragum's leg. The remaining halfling evades the vines and bulls through Briny's spell, rushing toward Hex. She shifts away from the halfling's spear, but her concentration is disrupted by the attack.
Round 2 Order: Players <===== Enemies
Placement: The elf is engaged in melee combat with Uragum. One halfling is engaged in melee combat with Hex. One halfling is restrained by vines. Fulta is at the end of the alley, within movement range.
Health: The restrained halfling is badly wounded. The elf is lightly wounded.
Hex grunts in annoyance as her concentration is disrupted. Seeing one of the halflings already badly injured and also restrained, Hex attempts to finish them off before they can do anymore damage to Uragum. If possible, she'd also try to move in front of Uragum to give him some cover from Fulta.

Can we see or hear if there's anything further down the alley? Also, would it be possible to climb onto the roof from the alley?
Sylyra lifts the hood of his cloak, looking for some kind of comfort in this uncomfortable situation.

Hex sighs, unimpressed. "Really? You couldn't have been more predictable." She quickly draws her bow and nocks an arrow, taking a shot at the elf.

Bonus Action: If attack hits, Favored Foe - 4 piercing
Movement: Cover Uragum from Fulta.
(Oh damn, that's some good damage... can I take back the Favored Foe if my attack kills the halfing without it?)
OOC: Uragum's sheet now reflects Stone's Endurance.
Hex's favored foe can't be taken back unfortunately, since that goes into effect when the attack hits, not after the damage is dealt.
Giving some more time for the actions of Briny, Sylyra, and Uragum for this round before botting and advancing.
