((Well we are out of combat so not going by turns... So I imagine Miesha's "next turn" will be after the next time we roll initiative. It'll be odd that she is suddenly immobile then... Oh, well, I suppose we could just ditch RAW and act like it happens now. *shrug*))
During her conversation with Vara Lonsvell, Miesha feels a wave of exhaustion overcome here. She visibly slumps and takes a step back, woozy for a bit...
(Oh nothing special, just role play for the curios cat. Better than 'I stab the thingy with my thing', at least.)
"Mmmm, yes, that's what the spell glyphs seemed to suggest." Jasper rubs his chin. "Perhaps it is best if it continues to just be cast on youuu..." The cat man begins to turn and walk away, looking a bit disappointed. "That is, unless the suggested speed enhancement could save one of a tabaxi's lives, I suppose...hmmm..."
After a moment Miesha catches herself and gives herself a shake before once more standing bolt upright light a good soldier. She narrows her eyes at Cheddar errr Jasper. "That was part of your doing, furry one?" She asks, her voice cold and reserved...
"It was freaking fabulous!" She admits a moment later, a smile on her face. "While it lasted, anyway... The slight withdrawal after it wears off is a small price to pay, I think. Perhaps best used when you have friends around to protect you for that short bit after... But definitely worth it!"
“Not well…” Miesha says, her eyes shifting to the side and getting a far away look about them as she thinks back. “Not personally, really…”
“I was a soldier. A damn good one. I excelled in everything about being a soldier. Always had.” Her words are a bit slower. A bit softer. Her mind is far away.
“They were powerful men back then, but not in that way. The one on the roof was Lieutenant General Lidel Brakstelle. General Brodstin is the other. It’s his mansion that was to be put to the torch… They led the South Vexall army. At least the portion I was in. They did not lead like they did today - they did not dirty their own hands. No, they led from behind. A safe distance behind. I’d not have thought them capable of this.. to give the orders, sure, but not to do it themselves…”
“Lidel thought… he did always dabble. Brodstin gave the order, I am sure of that, but it was Lidel who brought forth the concoction that did this to me,” Miesha explains, indicating her bronzed self. “Unintended consequences, eh? It was meant to humiliate me, at least. Possibly kill me. Almost did… I thought it was. But I prayed and asked to not die like that… not poisoned and gasping on the floor in front of others… Karyte listened. Answered. Instead of killing me the concoction became part of me. Armored me. Shielded me from needing direction from the likes of Brodstin and Lidel and equipped me to venture forward on my own. To make my own life…”
Miesha looks to Maggwyn… Then to Crannoc… and to Jasper. “To make my own family and with them to fight the battles we choose ourselves…”

Jasper flips open his spell book briefly and points. "Well, more whatever mediocre wizard designed this spell. It's quite flawed, really. Their antiquated method of exceeding commonly understood arcane boundaries in order to modify one's alignment with linear time..." He glances at Miesha. "Or, ah, to 'go fast' in terms you can comprehend, requires these rather crude deficiencies. I shall improve on it greatly when I have sufficient time to redesign the spell."
Suddenly Jasper snaps the book shut and eyes go wide as he takes off his crimson hat and rubs his head. "Ow." He looks at Maggwyn and shrugs as if he doesn't know what came over him. "Anyhow, ah, glad you like it!" The tabaxi smacks Miesha on the shoulder, which appears to hurt his hand just a bit. "Good soldiering, and all of that." He turns to walk away towards the now demolished house.
When Jasper hears Miesha explaining how she achieved her bronzing he turns from 20 feet away and remarks "that's actually quite fascinating, really..." before wincing again and rubbing his head. Hesitating for a moment he decides to keep heading for the house.
The cat man explores the ruins after taking a few moments to perform a ritual casting of Detect Magic.
He looks to the others to gauge their reaction, observing simply, "I, at least, am glad that you belong to our pack and not theirs any more, Miesha."
If city leader Vara Lonsvell has no further questions or commands, Crannoc belatedly calls for Temuth'sGuidance to assist whoever investigates the collapsed ruins of Sir Brodstin's erstwhile mansion. Wondering why Lidel Brakstelle was so intent on destroying it.

((Do whatever you have planned...))

Maggwyn eyes Jasper with curiousity.. "What did you do to her?" she chuckles at the rare show of enthusiasm from Miesha.
Then turning to the warrior, "How well did you know that man? He sure was powerful."
“Not well…” Miesha says, her eyes shifting to the side and getting a far away look about them as she thinks back. “Not personally, really…”
