Sasha waves Mr. Cartwright off and then starts to head in the direction the lazy farmer explained. "So if we run into greenskins over there we can all handle ourselves, right?" She says, glancing around at her friends to gauge their readiness for violence.
"Elmer's a half-orc is he? So that's why he's so rugged then." Sasha says with a smile at Rik. "Okay, sorry, won't use the g-word no more." She says, with a sheepish smile and a shrug. As Rik takes out her sling and Will shows off his naughty whip Sasha just pats the thin dagger tucked into her belt.
"Handle ourselves?" Gerty smiles, "Oh that won't be a problem." She happily pulls out her sickle and goes towards the front of the group, keeping an eye out for anything that might try to ambush the young group.

When Gerty speaks up, Rikaria looks closely at her for the first time since before they found Mister Cartwright. She'd been so busy, she hadn't had time to notice.
"Gerty!" she exclaims. "You're hurt!"
Rikaria takes Gerty's arm and stops her on the trail. She takes a clean, white handkerchief from her pocket and begins fussing over Gerty's wounds. In Dwarven Rikaria mutters to her "You have to stop getting yourself into trouble like this, Gerthiel. One day you'll really hurt yourself!"

Perception 20
You find the trail through the west field easily enough and set off at a good pace, your determination staves off any reservations you might have felt internally. Rikaria keeps pace. Dabbing at your racoon battle marks, and wiping away the blood. Lucky it’s just a small wound and your a tough gal.
you all make good time as your young and hardy, and soon you approach the Longwater farm. You can see Mrs Longwater moving about near some brush, calling for her son Mikel. She seems a bit frantic.
Gerty looks at Rikaria with surprise as she cleans her up. "It's its nothing,"and as Rikaria switches to dwarven, she blushes as the human admonishes her. Gerty brushes her away, and responding in dwarven, "I'll be fine, I always am."
Rikaria doesn't push when Gerthy shoos her away. She simply stops a moment, looking sadly at the dwarf as she marches on ahead. After a moment, Rikaria sighs and runs to catch back up with the group.
When they reach Mrs. Longwaters and hear the anxiety in her voice, Rikaria rushes up with the others, her heart going up into her throat thinking of the implications of the boy being lost with bandits on the loose. She stays silent to listen to Mrs. Longwaters' answer to Gerthy's offer.
(What do we all know about Mikel? Is he a little boy?)
( you know her Mikel from past events in town, he is about 8 or 9 years of age and full of excess spunk and energy)
A look of relief shows on her face as she sees help has arrived. “ It’s Mikel, he knows he is not supposed to play in the woods. One minute he was here playing with his wooden sword and pirate hat and then when I checked up on him he was gone. I have looked everywhere for him, called for him and nothing. Please help me find him…” she pleads.
you can see clearly where he entered through the brush and into this part of the forest. The trees are a bit stunted here and not as dense as at the Cartwright place. The branches are snapped here and there at about the height of a young lad and you imagine he was wacking them with his wooden sword as he went deeper in. You can see a lone set of child sized tracks heading in a north- easterly direction.
"Mrs. Longwaters, we'll be sure to find the lad, did you notice anything else that seemed odd to you?" Gerty waits to see if there is anything she has to add, then turns around and heads toward where the branches were snapped off, looking for signs of a trail
“ no, he was just a swashbuckling here, I went inside for a second to make I didn’t forget nothing and when I came out he was not there…he knows better than to mess around..”
You can tell from the suns position it is just about noon. It’s warm out with a gentle breeze. Upon moving a bit into the bushes and trees you can easily see a path into the woods. Several signs this isn’t the first time Mikel had entered the brush here. You can make out the beginnings of a little fort underneath one of the larger bushes and what looks like some small people fashioned from twigs and twine. A few are broken.
Rikaria takes Mrs. Longwaters' hand and squeezes it, saying reassuringly "We'll find him, Mrs. Longwaters. He's probably looking for buried treasure somewhere just out of earshot. Why don't you stay here in case he comes back?"
In the forest, Rikaria sticks close to Gerty. Rikaria's no forester, but she remembers many of the things Gerty had taught her when they were kids. She keeps her eyes to the ground, pointing out the signs she sees to Gerty."Is that a footprint? ...Those leaves look freshly disturbed... What about there?"
(Rikaria will give the help action to Gerty so she can reroll that abysmal survival check!)

(I know! That was awful!)
As Rikaria joins Gerty, she gives her a smile as she points out the footprints on the ground, "Huh, don't I usually point those things out to you? Turns out you were actually listening, who knew?" and she looks where Rik was pointing to see if she can find anything else.
Shariel had kept a bit to herself after the last farm. The friendly banter and brandishing of personal tools made her smile, but her dad's heirloom whip wasn't a bragging piece. It was good leather, and her family cared for animals in a way that she could count on one hand with fingers to spare how many times it drew blood. She'd gotten it as a way to herd cattle. Besides, she had more faith in the large knife at her hip, though she often used to more to cut rope than meat.
As Gerty and Rika found their entrance to the woods, Shariel couldn't help asking Mrs. Longwater, "Ma'am, I don't mean to worry you, but would you happen to have a decent pitchfork or brush-cutter? Mr. Cartwright down the way just had trouble with someone stealing a cow and running off in the woods. If there's a couple thugs in there, I'd like to be ready." A flash of fear came that she'd said too much and caused undue worry, "But don't worry. We'll find Mikel safe and sound."

"I truly hope it won't come to that," Rikaria says. "But I bet I'm still a better shot than any of you with this!"
She pulls a long woven sling from the pocket of her skirt.
"And that's such an ugly word, Sash. My uncle Elmer's half orc and he's no cattle rustler, 'spite his green skin. He drives a milk cart in Triboar."
Again William just shrugs, but he does take out hus whip and smiles at Rikaria. Looking a bit nauhgty while he does.
