So a greenskin ate Mr. Cartwright's pie and rode away on his milk cow Gelda with Karl and Camford chasing after them, Sasha thought, hoping they weren't led into and ambush. "Don't you worry Mr.Cartwright..." Sasha says, kneeling by the pit, looking down at the old man, stifling a laugh as the old man seemed to have fallen into his own trap, sending him a warm and reassuring smile. "...we'll help you up and then we'll go and find Gelda, Karl and Camford for you."
Persuasion/Deception with help from Rik to reassure Mr. Cartwright everything is going to be alright: 22
Once the others find their way to the pit Sasha turns and explains to them. "It seems a greenskin took off with Mr. Cartwright's milk cow Gelda. Karl and Camford was chasing after them but it's been maybe two hours so we should go look for them I think, I will at least." She says, tilting her head and smiling at Will. "There is a tramped on grass path that leads away into the tree line over there..."She says and points. "...it shouldn't be hard to follow the tracks of a milk cow I think."
Rikaria is visibly taken aback by Sasha's proclamation. She pulls Sasha and the others out of earshot of Mister Cartwright.
Quietly, she says "Sash, slow your roll. when Mister Halfstock asked us to go help Mister Cartwright, I think he meant loading wagons, not chasing down cattle rustlers. We're not really qualified for that sort of thing! None of us are soldiers! We don't know how to hunt bandits, and even if we did, We can't catch up to Karl and Camford if they're on horseback with a two hour head start."
She continues, "Anyway, we still haven't gone to Mrs. Longwater's farm. She might have been targeted by these same bandits, and she might be hurt or trapped just like Mister Cartwright! We need to go check on her, and we need to alert the town so they can form a proper posse."
Sasha frowns slightly at Rik's response. "But what about Camford and Karl, if they have been away for this long they could be in danger now. We should at least follow this trail into the woods and see what we can find there." She insists stubbornly, never being one to think things through and more often reacting on feelings an instinct. "Look, if they were on horseback Camford and Karl would have caught up with Gelda pretty quickly, right? My guess is we will find something soon if we follow those tracks into the woods."
Rikaria bites her lip in thought. That is a good point. But she still can't justify her and her five friends running off into the woods after a bunch of bandits with no armor or weapons or training. And they DO need to alert the town and check on Mrs. Longwater.
But then again, just going a bit further into the woods wouldn't likely cause too much harm. The bandits would probably be halfway to Rivermoot by now, not waiting for a group of teenagers to wander into an ambush a mile away. Not to mention, if Camford and Karl are lying somewhere half a mile from here bleeding out from arrow wounds and she could have been there to help but chose not to, she'd never forgive herself...
She turns to the others and asks "What do you all think?"
(BTW I'm assuming this conversation is happening AFTER we get the old man out of the hole XD)
Not having patience as her strong suit either Sasha doesn't wait for the others to respond but hurries over to the treeline to have a look into the woods if there are tracks to follow. Perception: 5 Survival: 10
You are able to get Mr Cartwright out of the pit and help him clean off some of the debris while Sasha and William head to the tree line. Once there, the hope for a quick find dissipates as the forest’s deep under growth makes finding the tracks difficult. Just before entering the forest, you do pick up hoof prints and two sets of boot prints in the soft dirt between the grass and the trees, and William sees a few of the lower tree branches are snapped. Other than that, there is no sign of Gelda, the bandits, or Karl and Camford.
The forest is dark and there is not an established pathway from this point to go through.
"There are six of us and they might be in trouble. I agree with Sasha, we need to see if we can help." Gerty turns to Mr. Cartwright, "Are you up for looking with us?"
Sasha nods at Will, a little disappointed that this didn't lead to more, but glad that she checked it out to put her curiosity to rest. "Sure, let's head back." She says to Will. "Kind of you to follow me though Will..." She starts on their way back. "...are you my gallant knight to protect me from the vicious greenskins." Sasha winks at Will and laughs softly.
"Sorry, just had to check that out but they might have gotten farther than I hoped, we should perhaps head over to the Longwater farm now." Sasha says with a shrug as she and Will returns to the others.

" Into the forest? Not without more men...there be Bidderboo's in the darkness of the trees..I hear them at night every so often. We need to head into town and get help, maybe the lads already made there way there. Maybe we can get one of the Harpell magicticians to help"
"How do you mean I don't show it Will? You're not still upset over those rhymes, are you?" Sasha says with a smile, looking curiosly at Will. "So you found a rusty blade, lucky you. Now you can try and find it's rightful owner, which most likely is someone from this farm."She adds with a soft laugh.
"We should get over to the Longwater farm first Mr, Cartwright, but you go ahead into Longsaddle and speak to Mr. Halfstock."Sasha says to the lazy farmer.
Rikaria nods in agreement with Sasha, glad to hear that the two of them are not at odds about heading to the Longwater Farm.
"You'll be able to get to town more quickly than us on your wagon, Mr. Cartwright. But we can cut across the fields to the Longwaters. Before we go, do you have a healer's kit we can borrow, in case Mrs. Longwater has been hurt?"
Luke digs around in the dirt with his foot "Maybe one of the goblins dropped it running away. Anyways we should get moving. If they are doing something at the Longwater farm maybe we can stop it and help"
"Good to hear you don't mind a little friendly banter then Will."Sasha says with a smile as they arrive with the others.
"Yes, let's get over to the Longwater farm." Sasha says impatiently, eager to solve this mystery now. "And yes, that blade you found Will, it could belong to the greenskins, let's hope you get a chance to return it, right between the eyes."
Mr Carwright heads to his wagon and says his wife carrys the medicine stuff in her bay and she's in town already. He tells you to cut across the western field and follow the footpath to the Longwater farm. It's a good short cut that will only take about 20mins on foot. He thanks you again for saving his old hide, tells you he will bring back a posse to find the scoundrels who stole Gelda, and then muttering some more curses he began the trip to town

DM, we here yet? If yes, William tries to respond. But as Sasha runs of, he follows her and tries to catch up.

I know Sash, you're a good person... why you don't show it more is beyond me haha!
Let's hear what the others have to say about it. Oh, I also found this cool rusty blade!

Hmmm I don't think so. Who lets a blade laying around, that long, that close near a barn? So long it rusts? Ehh I'm probably overthiking it.
