(I've never heard of a rope arrow, and I'm not convinced that could work, but I might allow an attempt if someone had a spool of fine string or something... As to roped - or stringed - boomerangs, I feel that would be a very likely autofail as well, at least without magical aid. (On the other hand, Rizzo can carry up to ten pounds without being slowed down, or twenty pounds if slowed down a bit. And with an Intelligence of 10, Rizzo can tie a decent knot, too.)
Pud takes a peep at the double doors to their left once the girls run off. He leans his ear up close, without touching the door, trying to listen for any sounds from the other side. He then runs after the rest of the gang.

Titaani and Matilda are the first to see the interior of another windowless marble turret. An enameled black coffer rests on a pedestal of living vines in the middle. The turret has no visible exits other than the one you entered through.
Meanwhile, Pud hears a small noise behind the double doors downstairs. Something being set on a table, perhaps, or a single footstep. Elkhorn remains behind with him.
Pud waves at Elkhorn to get his attention. He slowly walks over to him and whispers in his ear. "I heard something in there. Not sure. Coulda been a footstep. Or something being set down. Stand guard, I'm gonna tell the others."
Pud walks over to the first step and l casts message on Horatio and tells relays the information to him and asked him to pass on the word.

Horatio asks Ben, "Hey, you're a mason... since we know there is a room beyond this one, could we just bust through the far wall to this ro-..." He cuts off, holding his head a moment as if confused or distressed. "I... I just heard Pud in my head. He said he heard something in the room near Elkhorn and him... Maybe we check that out before demolishing walls?"
”I could certainly tap on the walls where there might be a room beyond to estimate thickness, but demolishing a wall with hand tools is time-consuming,” responds Ben. He nods at Pud’s message and heads back down the steps to join them.

Pud backs up a bit and looks up at the facade of the castle in search of windows that might give one a line of sight into the room behind the double doors. He wakes up Rizzo and has her buzz around scouting the immediate area.

Opening it, Titaani finds that the coffer contains a faintly glowing, plum-sized jewel of green crystal. (Make an Insight check if you choose to pick it up.)
The others head back downstairs.
Meanwhile, Pud looks for windows. There are plenty, but they all look east over the Court of Storms. There are no windows on the west side of the marble hallway – just a few double doors. Like the door to the sludge-filled tower, an identical marble cameo depicting a lion wearing a crown is mounted above this set of doors. Rizzo finds nothing else of interest or alarm here.
Upon first grasping the dark green jewel, Titaani intuits that this jewel somehow embodies Zybilna’s crystallized desire to know what her enemies are plotting. Then she turns and joins the others, who begin to gather back downstairs.
"So this one represents the fey queen wanting to know what the hags are up to," Titaani informs the others, waving the gem around haphazardly. "I guess that's why it's green, right? Because Bavlorna's swamp was green. Anyway, where are we off to now?"

Everything remains still and quiet, except for the chaotic swirling and low roar of the vortex below.
What do you do next?
" We should go up to try and get closer!", Matilda said heading for the stairs.
"Race you there!" Titaani laughs, following Matilda.
Ben:
”Indeed,” says Ben, trudging after the young rapscallions.

Titaani was just reaching for the coffer when Horatio relays Pud's message. "Oh yeah! He's done that to me before, too. It's really cool, isn't it?"
As everyone turns to go, she gestures to the coffer and asks Matilda: "Should we open this first before we leave?"
Matilda glances down the stairs then nods emphatically.
Grinning, Titaani moves to open the coffer.
