Ben flips through the book Three Rules to Rule before pocketing it.
Evidently, Zybilna put into place three rules when she created her Feywild domain: the rule of hospitality, the rule of ownership, and the rule of reciprocity. They were strictly enforced:
Rule of Hospitality. When a friend, an enemy, or a stranger enters your home, you are expected to be gracious and accommodating to them until such time as they prove, by their words or actions, undeserving of such hospitality.
Rule of Ownership. You must not steal from a friend, an enemy, or a stranger. To take something that doesn’t belong to you without the rightful owner’s permission is a crime and an unforgivable breach of etiquette.
Rule of Reciprocity. When a friend, an enemy, or a stranger offers you a gift, you are obliged to accept it and offer something of comparable value (be it a gift or a service) in return. Such reciprocation need not happen immediately.
But as he steps into the kitchen to again approach the dollhouse, there is a puff of gritty smoke in his belongings, as his newly obtained book turns to ashes.
He tries again with the crowbar, but this dollhouse seems to be incredibly strong or arcanely sealed. It will not budge.
The party seems to settle on a strategy to search the place, then try to burn it down. Titaani has arcane flames flickering on her fingertips in anticipation.
Matilda suggests starting in the Workhouse Dormitory, atop the southernmost of the three towerlike spires that crown Loomlurch. But the southern interior kitchen door into the Family Tree room remains locked. Does anyone have the means to open it?
Sharing the words of the book with the others, Ben is stunned that it turns to ashes upon removal from the study.
”We should strive to take only items that were stolen from others in order to return them to their rightful owners, or perhaps unclaimed or abandoned items as we search—in addition to looking for our own people and items that were stolen from us,” cautions Ben, realizing that while some of the items here may be available for taking, items specifically belonging to the Hag (and not having been stolen by her) should not be taken according to the 3 rules.

"Why?" Asks Horatio ignorantly. "These witches deserve death. Can't imagine what a dead person needs with pots and pans." He says, as he stuff pots and pans into a bag.
Pud hobbles over to Titaani and peers over her shoulder as she works her magic on the lock. He hears the faint sound of pins and tumblers clicking and then the turning of the doorknob!
He whispers excitedly "Nice! Great job, Titaani."
Pud turns to Rizzo, his clockwork hummingbird companion, and gives her some instructions. "Listen up, little one! Keep an eye out for any goons. One chirp means bad guys. Three chirps means all clear. Got it?"She flutters her wings and gives Pud a subtle head nod signaling she knows the plan.
He looks at the group and nods up his head towards the door. "Shall we?"

Pud looks puzzled at the question. "...a whole unicorn? I...I dunno. I never seen anyplace big enough to hide one of those. That hole in the ground there is the only cell I know of. Come on, let's go."
Pud pokes his head into the Family Tree room (#11) and scans the room for threats. Perception check: 18.
IF Pud does not detect any threats, he'll step into the room and stand guard with his walking stick as the rest of the party files in.

The Family Tree room (11) is empty. Matilda's animated portrait still hangs amidst the dense tangle of tree roots and brambles covering the walls, together with moving portraits of her little brother Wirrun, trapped in a bubble; and Matilda's mother, aunt, and father.
Continuing on through the cupboard hallway (10), you see a few remaining months still fluttering around the hanging lit lantern. The hallway is otherwise empty.
(Are you all heading forward through the Barracks (7) and up to the Workhouse Dormitory (8)?)
A few steps into the hallway (room #10), Pud stops and motions for everyone to stop.
“Hold up. Keep watch. I’m get something real quick.”
Pud makes for the door, first to the left in the hallway and enters the room. He heads straight for one of the drawers in the cupboard, opens it, shimmies it about and removes the entire drawer revealing a hidden compartment. He grabs several things from the compartments and stuffs his pockets full.
He rejoins the group sporting a sly little grin and presents to them a closed fist concealing whatever he found in the cubby.
”Guess what I got…”

Pud winces at Matilda for fee seconds and chuckles. “Hah! Very funny!” He opens his palm and reveals some mushroom shaped sugar cookies. “I got some of Granny’s cookies! I skimmed one off her plate every time she had me fetch her some. This was me and Brottor’s stash. Have one! Some are older and kinda hard.” He pops one in his mouth and from the sound of it he got a really old one!
“Oh! Ben…I almost forgot. I think I found your unicorn! I found it in the cubby!” Pud giggles and reveals a small unicorn shaped cookie cutter. He smiles a wide toothy smile. “There’s all sorts a junk in there. Candles, string….I think I saw a small hammer. Bunch of workshop supplies.”
The simple wooden cookie cutter is indeed shaped like a unicorn. It looks like it has gotten a fair amount of use, and it doesn't appear to hide any clues or surprises. Nevertheless, it seems like trinkets like these sometimes serve as a sort of currency here in the feywild, so maybe it could be used for some future trade. Or at least to make cookies.
The moths continue to dance around the lantern.
Onward through the tin soldier barracks (7)? Or do you wish to stop and explore the cupboards (10) further first? (And who wants a cookie?)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

She grabs a cookie and bites into it. "Y'know, when this is all over, you guys really need to come over to where I live. Then you can try some of mama Dianae's cookies straight from the oven! I'm sure she'd be happy to make some for us..."
