Trisk will move to explore the Library next. When Piccolo first appears to vanish Trisk will ask, "Are you still there? Are you ok? If there is anything else I can do to help please let me know."
To the rest of the group, "I want to check out this library before we move on. Who knows what books or treasures the red wizards have secured away down here."

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”

Trisk's Investigation: 9
Being a wizard and understanding how books are organized and cataloged (anything similar to a Dewey Decimal system from rl?) Trisk will search the library, focusing on the shelves and anything of interest.
He will ritual cast Detect Magic to aid in the search.
"Does anyone know if phylacteries can be destroyed with regular damage or is there something special we need to do them?"

Within tbe library, you find precious... informatiom!
Over the course of a few hours, you learn the following:
Hour 1
Szass Tam’s latest plan to become a god is his most ambitious. He intends to feed the souls of the Chosen into his phylactery through the Temples of Extraction.
The Temples of Extraction aren’t temples at all, but research facilities where Szass Tam’s followers conduct profane magical experiments. Few know the specifics of what happens there.
Hour 2
The phylacteries of the highest-ranking liches in Szass Tam’s service rest in the Phylactery Vault, protected by powerful magic. Szass Tam holds the phylacteries there to keep his lackeys in check.
Only black gates allow access to the Temples of Extraction. Only Szass Tam’s most trusted servants have the glyph keys attuned to that sector.
Unfortunately, Trisk does not find the answer to his question within the library, but armed with this new knowledge, they are much much closer to their goal.
Trisk will share what he's learned from the library with everyone.
"I guess we continue South for now."
Opening the door Trisk will rush into the room and seek out the highest point inside.
(ooc: I vote for the optional highground rules you proposed earlier.)

<Cool. I think I have 2 in favor. We have 6 players. 4 in favor automatically makes that the rule. If I hear from three in favor, I have an alternative implementation.>

<While we're on the subject... initiative. The way we run it currently is mostly lifted from the Dark Souls RPG. It's still not completely streamlined. What I say now is not unprecedented, a d I'm not unilaterally declaring it so, but I would like some feedback. Pm me or post here, whatever you like. It seems like initiative is going away in ttrpgs, or at least several.are ditching it, maybe fro the better. Daggerheart will apparently not have fixed rules for initiative and Dreams and Machines specifies rounds and turns as an OPTIONAL rule. In both systems, the GM just says who acts and thats it. My main interest is to optimize for expediency in pbp, so whoever is able to post irl is allowed to post in game and actually advance the story/game. Typically, I imagine this would work similarly to how it does now, with the whole party being 'up' and just taking turns. The thing I do t want to happen is that players miss doing something in a situation because they just can't post, but what I hope to avoid are situations where we wait three days to decide if we go to the next room. It's a big shift because it decodifies a core structural element of the game, but for the moment, at least, it seems.to be the way the wi ds are blowing. That doesn't mean we have to change how we play, but it is an interesting idea. I'm eager to hear what others think about it.>
<Ok that sucks.> I just say we have Picollo lead and she spots it.
Guiding the party around it, you find another white gate blocking your path. You can use a glyph key attuned to this area or to the area on the opposite side to open it. I'll say you have three keys all attuned to the area your in from the contact stone atop the stepped pyramid, so you use one and there is more hallway with another door, just like the one you opened a moment ago, 15ft ahead (putting you at roughly the midpoint of the hallway).
About an hour in the library, Piccolo suddenly reappears, lounging like a girl in a library by a fire, reading a book. She’s about half way through. She wasn’t there before, or was she?
<She can aid someone in attuning a key, or…Syranna can I believe>
<don’t forget about contact stones to contact Syranna>
Whilst everyone is busy searchig for... stuff... Randy takes out the second glyph key to attune it. "Hey. I don't know if Ethan needs help with his attunement but..."He pauses as his grmiace furrows, wondering if Piccolo if still busy. Maybe he should just go over to his brother and attune those key for himself...

He brings up just short as the apparition of the little girl appears right in front of him playing a few brief, sharp notes to display the image of him falling into the last pit trap.

Hope you don't mind me taking some liberties in the description of how you warn me of the pit trap but the DM offer it as an alternative to falling into another one. Feel free to change anything, it doesn't have to be set in stone. There could also be some way to share the warning that has to do with the bond we share?
"Watch out! There's another pit trap right there!" And with that Trisk will point out where the danger lies to the rest of the party.

Trisk will use a 7th level spell slot to cast Major Image and create the illusion of himself down to the last detail. Because he used a 6th level spell slot or higher the illusion will not last for the standard 10 minutes but will be permanent until dispelled and will not require concentration.
