So, the radiant fireball was definitely before combat. I'm hard pressed to say the Ambassador was 'surprised' after his dog (MFH) started barking. Then the arcana check, which RAW is an action, but I'd be willing to call BA. I think that counts as Tetrevess' turn.

The ambassador appears, further to the east side if the room, as he is passed by the Knight Commander returning from checking on the barking. He is standing with two identical copies of himself, which constantly blink in and out of position with one another <I'm just trying to describe mirror image>.
A dome (wall of force,) 10ft in diameter, appears over Akame and Angus.
The Knight Commander misty step s his way to the other side of the dome to engage Tetrevess with his flame tongue great sword.
<I actually rhink he would have kit it when he went to see what the dog was barking at, but I never said so, thus it is not lit yet, its just a greatsword - for now. I mean, it is magic, still and also deals psychic>

Grognard rant: I think it's more fun if while exploring the catacombs of the wizards' lair you aren't constantly aware of how every object in sight got to be where it is. Sort of peels back the immersion and mystery. I do appreciate pointing out my errors, though. That's actually super helpful, but, the Ambassador is a guy who is deeply paranoid and obsessed with this research. So if you really want to know what happened it's in the spoiler.

So, the Necromancer cast wall of force and the Ambassador, himself, cast sphere of Annihilation. Misty step bypasses both, but Disintegrate, because the two spell effects occupied the same space, (that being an oversight on my part; I could have made WoF a cube,) I ruled that Disintegrate destroyed both. Invisibility was cast by the Deathlock, who is an undead minion of the Necromancer, created for that purpose, sadly - the sort of thing Morwena and D'arlon Ma are vocally opposed to. Anyhow, he cast invisibility for a very good reason I won't discuss yet*. The Invisibilty spell ended when the Ambassador cast wall of force. He is an abjuration wizard and has spell mastery of Invisibilty, so it wouldn't be too surprising if he casts it.
The mirror image, globe of invulnerability and fire shield were also cast at the same time, during time stop (am I wording that right?). BUT... I forgot fire shield gives off a glow and I never mentioned it, so forget it. He isn't rocking fire shield at the moment. He could still cast it, though.

What's the rule on casting through wall of force? I get that I couldn't cast a fireball since it requires throwing something, but what about spells that only require me to see the target?
You guys are really making me flex my crunch research. What I actually learned was that wall of force has a thickness of ¼ inch, meaning that casting both would result in the globe of invulnerability being on the inside. So if I was going to reevaluate anything, it should be that the globe is still there, not Disintegrated, overlapping the new wall of force dome. That's too confusing and I could see the argument that it would be the other way around too, so we're not doing that.
The answer is, no. Spells can't target through wall of force according to several comments from J Crawford and M Mearls. It seems really weird to me that he would cast GoI, but like I said, I'm taking it striaght from the AL adventure and he does. If the target is 'self' or a creature outside the dome, that works.
The only benefit to Globe is that the caster inside can target things outside. So, my thinking is that this 3D Chess master figures his Necromancer is en route to battle the intruders alongside the deathlock and the knight and (as far as he knows) the transmuter and flesh golem, but if the Necromancer loses concentration, he still wants some protection but also wants to he able to cast out if the shell in that case. So he freezes time and does that.
It actually makes a ton of sense, but I can't really explain just why that is right now.

Chadderlay can move around the wall to target the Ambassador if he wants, at a range of 35 ft, assuming 30ft if normal movement. I know you guys don't really use owlbear because of some technical issue, but 30ft would put you right next to the '6' on the map.
Edit: the knight commander would get AoO if he could see you as you pass. Presently, he can see you.

He is quickly followed by a Red Wizard necromancer whe sees his thrall's target and casts blindness/deafness (potentially) blinding the reptilian ranger! (DC 15 Con save)

Detect magic text clearly states "you see a faint aura around any visible creature or object ..."
Invisibility states "anything the target js wearing or carrying is invisible as long as it's on the target's person."
So, no.

I missed this post, obviously. You can get as far as the spot to the right if the '6' on the map, if that works.
