Dimitri, you easily pocket this fruit and you're certain no one noticed. You even found a spot to store it where you're almost certain it won't rupture. Your roll may have been late to the party Tristan, but it works out. Whatever that crashing was, whether a creature or nature, it's seemingly gone now. The forest surrounding you has returned to dead silence. The only breaks in the silence, being all of your heavy breathing and words as you speak.
(OOC: Are you all choosing to step back into the forest from the glade?)
As Hadi follows the others stepping back into the mist he says, "Whatever that was... it's big. We're either lucky it missed us, or just not what it's looking for." then, recoiling his whip and looking around, back into the nothingness around them adds, "Any idea how far we are to the crypt?"
You all push back into the darkness of the forest, leaving the glade behind. It seems Khessa and Tristan are leading now, so both of you please make survival checks for me and pick a direction you'd like to travel in. I am going to assume you all continue to make use of the rope so that you don't lose each other.
(OOC: I fixed that slip up, thank you Hadi. T'bitha might have information as well, if she chooses to share it.)
”Tristan, how familiar are you with A’yeth Taersi. You need to try and get us there. The crypt is inside the old elven city itself. If you can get us to the city, I may be able to get us to the crypt itself.”
T’bitha reaches ahead to place her small hand on Tristan’s shoulder, “May you find favor with Eilistraee so she guides us in the correct direction.”
(OOC- Cast guidance cantrip on Tristan. +1d4 to any skill check)
Listening to the others as they begin to walk through, Hadi takes a moment to try to remember if he'd ever done much reading about A'yeth Taersi ((history 25)). Specifically trying to remember about why the city is abandoned, what types of elves lived there, what it was used for... etc.
You've done limited research on A'yeth Taersi, most of it was while tracing your family heritage. You know A'yeth Taersi was one of the first cities erected on Weskeilia, and it was the original elven city. It was home to all elven lineages, though most notably - avariel (winged elves), sun elves (high elves), star elves, lythari (elven lycanthropes), and wild elves. A'yeth Taersi fell during the ice age, and the only exotic elven lineage from A'yeth Taersi that continued on was the high elves. No avariel, original sun elves, star elves, lythari, or wild elves have been seen since.

INSIDE the city? No, my arrival was no coincidence. There are larger powers at work here than we know. Hesitantly, Tristan starts to make his way through the forest that is so changed from the one he knew, looking for any signs or markings that could serve as a waypoint back to his home.
"I can get us there, I hope. Whether I want to find whatever awaits us is another matter."

“I will take responsibility for what I have done. [...] If must fall, I will rise each time a better man.” ― Brandon Sanderson, Oathbringer.
As she tries to lead the party through the forest, Khessa suddenly remembers what the priestess of Eilistraee said while following her out of the glade and, puzzled, asks: "Excuse me T'bitha, just a question: you said, while we left, that the glade was 'consecrated ground'... How do you know? Did you feel some... sacred power? Can you tell us more? You know, just in case we run into similar dangers again..."
(Probably, it is by getting distracted by such thoughts that, if it weren't for Tristan, Khessa would be hopelessly lost)
Tristan and Khessa, following your original path you step out of the glade and wrap around the trees that create it, following the wall to what you believe to be the backside of the glade. As you do, Tristan, you begin to notice rubble and ruin surrounding you. On one side of you is the outer wall of the glade and on the other side is a hardly standing 3 foot tall stone wall. The wall is mostly covered in forest growth, though parts of it are still visible.
Looking around, it appears this rubble and ruin you've all found spreads out in every direction. The wall of the glade is to your left and has began rounding away from you, since it was circular. You all appear to be near the backside of the glade, and you find yourself standing in some sort of ruined structure.
"Well done Tristan!" looks around Khessa, patting on the shoulder the elf at her side. "These could very well be the ruins of the city we are looking for! Now, if so," she asks everybody"where should the crypt be?"
The excited tall adventurer also tries herself to see if she can spot clues about an eventual crypt location.
Stepping near the ruins Hadi says, "This may be just the entrance to the city, though it seems we are headed the right direction at least." He's clearly regained his composure after the fright back from the clearing. Following the wall towards the left, Hadi looks to see if he can determine where the entrance to this building would have been, and/or what type of purpose it may have served originally? ((investigation 8))
Both Hadi and Khessa, looking around this structure-- Khessa, there are no immediate clues to where this crypt could possibly be. A mixture of the darkness shrouding your sight and the fear of whatever that crashing sound was returning creates a fair few distractions. And Hadi, it's difficult to determine the original purpose of this structure. It's so far gone that very little of it remains. It does however look like where you entered through could possibly be the original entrance. There is a pile of rubble on either side of you and nothing where you had originally stepped.

How do you know? Did you feel some... sacred power? Can you tell us more? You know, just in case we run into similar dangers again..."
”I did say that, Khessa. Through a simple prayer to Eilistraee, she can provide me the vision to sense good and evil nearby. While there were no living things about that gave off any sort of evil intentions, I could tell that that ground was holy ground. Whatever or whomever planted that tree there has consecrated the land around it. We should avoid disturbing the tree any further lest something tragic befall us.”
T’bitha pulls her wychwood twig out and summons the glowing orbs and spreads them out to light the area up and see if anything stands out to identify if this is the old elven city or something else.

Kneeling down, Tristan runs a hand over the rubble gently, trying to tell how it had survived seven thousand years. "There were many buildings and small towns around the city, this may have just been a hunting shack. Either way Hadi is right, we are going in the right direction."

All of you notice, as T'bitha releases her orbs the one she sends furthest to the left seems to be glowing brighter than the rest. Almost as if the darkness isn't as strong in that area.

The skull is old old and it appears most of the marks on it are very old as well.

You know the majority of A'yeth Taersi was built with extremely strong and durable stone, and you're safe to assume this is why some structures are still standing.

T’bitha spies something half-buried in the corner and curiously walks over and bends down to see the skull that appears to have been gnawed on.
“This does not bode well if this is recent.” She takes a closer look to see how old the skull and the gnawed markings are.
