"Hum, anyone see anything here?" Thinking there could be another teleport area, Sparhawk throws part of a cage through the archway to see if anything unusual happens. He continues look for anything out of the ordinary and looks for a journal or books in this area.
Investigation6
Nothing happens to the crate as you throw it through the archway and the items in this room seem to be like lounge furniture, possibly a break area for the assistants or something. Everything is wrecked and scattered about. You feel the source of lawful power is stronger and likely in the area past the arch.
Lir bends low and tries to detect the presence of one of these creatures that has been mentioned. The sight of acid-pitted bones is a concern.
Perception: 20
Lir can smell several varieties of creature. From feline to primate, a large frog like creature and some others. There is a scent that is very strange and unlike anything you have ever encountered
As you head through the archway there is a hallway that heads to the left and the right. To the right you can see a large fragment of a bas-relief sculpture that exudes a subtle energy. The figure in the sculpture stands erect, facing forward with both arms outstretched. In one hand is a rod topped with the sun and the other hand holds a similar rod with an empty circle. It has 2 sets of wings and for his head it's a lion with long braided hair/beard.
Ufeli rushes up to it and places his hand on its feet. You can see a sense of calm and relief roll over his features.
He says, " this is Marduk, a God from across the ocean. The Master brought this back and said there are people over there that really have Lion heads.:
Ufeli explains a little of what he knows. That Marduk battled an defeated Tiamat in ages past, splitting the evil dragon goddess in two creating the heavens and the earth. The story sounds very similar to what you know of Bahamut, worshipped here in Faerun and you suspect Marduk may be another form. This is the source of righteousness you feel.
You quietly creep down the hallway to the left ( assuming the 1st left opposite the bas-relief) you notice the walls have intricate, labyrinthine designs across them. You reach an eastward branch near the end of the hallway where you find a large pile of small demon skeletons, they looked as if they were trying to claw their way out through the stone.
“Ufeli, do you still sense your masters presence? The imp said he could feel Abernath is here “
“ the imp is soul connected to the master so he would know. Every so so often I can swear I hear whispers since we bp have been in here, one of the voices sounds a little l8ke Master Abernath, but it’s hard to tell.”
Sparhawk holds back, waiting to see what Frangipani and Eberk find. He again takes out his chalk and marks an arrow on the floor, pointing back at the statue. There have been far too many teleportation and hidden areas with this wizard, he thinks to himself.
He looks at Lir and Bjorn, "At the wizards home, there were hidden areas. We found a huge map, and some secret rooms. Keep your eyes open." "Ufeli, any hidden areas here that we should investigate, but that I can't see?" Sparhawk asks him.
“Yes, that’s what I’m worried about. See these walls, reminds me of a maze. But all being together, makes me worry they were being chased or hunted by something.”
”any thoughts crew? I don’t like this area much”
Sparhawk seems impatient. They aren’t going to find the wizard, he thinks.

"Lets head through that arch," Sparhawk says confidently. "Stay alert, something up ahead."
He moves forward.
Frangipani readied her gift of Animal Friendship as she moved forward.
Beasts. Captive. Something else. Strange.
Gestures in sign - stranger than us.
Eberk follows, closely. “Say the word and whatever we find goes to sleep.”

"Intersting" Sparhawk looks at the sculpture but does not approach.
"It appears there are a number of these so called artifacts that are causing problems for the people of these lands."
