Garth lowers his sword when the sprites act in unison to take down the last orc. With a quick glance at the orcs, he turns to the leader of the sprites. "Like it or not, they are trying to lift the curse of this wizard as well. And we can use all the help we can get, no matter the source." He eyes the sprites speculatively, "If you six would join us then we may have less use for the orcs, but I'd soon as not murder them in cold blood. There's all too much of that going around these days."
He listens while the others speak, nodding at the end, "Aye. Information always helps."
Delph nods as you all begin to speak, his fellow Sprites put their bows away. Delph says “Whoa whoa whoa, one at a time. We had to be certain of who you were, what your intentions were. We have heard of you, that the Shadow Guardians have arisen anew. We didn’t know what this meant, and why you would be traveling with orcs.”
On the ground, a few of the orcs begin twitching, starting to move their muscles, you hear a few yawns.
“You must choose your own path. Perhaps we will see each other again, there might be a time when we can help you.” He becomes alarmed when he hears of the artifact, his wings start to flutter and move even faster, but he says nothing. “Please be careful. There is dark magic at play here. Nizrac is ….” The group of Sprites begin to move up into the air and away from you, the last of his words lost in the air. The orcs begin to stir even more on the ground. (The magical sleep lasts 1 minute). You see them wing their way high above you and out of sight.
Just at that time, a few of the orcs start to sit up, Norak first, the last orc who was hit slowly begins to move about 15 seconds later.
“Wha…. What happened.” He looks around with a start and stands up, pulls the small arrows out of the skins of the orcs. “You, you chased them away! You defended us. You could have left us, killed us, done whatever your wished. You are warriors, and we are proud to fight alongside you. Thank you for defending my clan….” Norak bows his head to you and tries to shake off the last of the sleepiness, and prepares himself to continue traveling. He looks around bushes and scans the skies for any sign of the Sprites, but cannot see them.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Salamir tips his hat to the Spites as they fly up and away, before looking down at the Orcs.
"Hope you enjoyed the rest, but we have work to do", he says to Norak with a grin. "And you are welcome, we have an agreement and we are honourable enough to stick to it", he adds as he turns away and starts to walk in the direction they had been heading, passing one of the other Orcs.
"I suggest we try and co-operate more, look to fan the flames of the trust we are building", he adds, holding his hand out to the Orc to help them up, then looking at the size of them retracting it.
"No offence, but helping you up would break my back", he says with a chuckle. "Duf wasn't it?"
"Yes lets go. We have much to do" Hlin waits for the others before continuing on with Norak and the others. As they travel Hlin tells Norak what the sprites said about the coming dangers.
Javier follows suit, assisting the orcs as they return to their travels. He chat's with Durrik Bonebreaker casually as they walk. Hoping to build the relationships as Salamir mentioned...

Garth looks long and hard at Norak before nodding. "We can work together now, maybe." The encounter with the sprites made him realize that -- despite his misgivings -- the orcs were an integral part of their task. The sprites -- notionally 'good' -- were not willing to help, yet the orcs were. What does that say for the nature of evil, eh? Beyond my pay grade. He grunts and shakes his head, then moves to the front, scouting.

Belkaria smiles as the orcs appear to rejoin them with a different attitude and even though their journey was treacherous, it seemed lighter now somehow. Turning to Ysee, "So tell me, how bad is this curse? Has it affected anyone close to you?"
As they start off, she tries to keep her eyes on what is going on around her, not sure when things are going to get ugly.
“Duf don’t need help.” The large orc next to Salamir stands and gives him a toothy smile. “We will go, I will help you. You have helped our clan. You have my thanks for that.” Norak hears this and nods, readying himself as well. ”Indeed. We are getting close.”
The orcs all stand and get in line, walking beside you, Norak and Garth are toward the front. Belkaria, your keen eyes do not detect any threats from where you are, but you have a feeling that something is close. There is a change in the pattern of birds in the sky. Nothing that you can see, or hear, but there is a tension in the air.
The faint trail that you are following curves around the right side of a massive boulder, with steep sides that form a wall. The trail tightly hugs this steep rock and your hands brushes along the rock. You notice that it is particularly smooth. You notice that many have passed along this way. Overhead you notice many circling ravens. Their calls seem constant now.
Your footing is rocky and uneven. You are watching your steps carefully, not paying attention to what lies ahead. Then, you look up. Your eyes fix on two massive stone sculptures of giant humanoids with bird heads, each staring at the other. Between the two is a large cave opening with a passage. The passage is covered with runes on the floor, in the shape of a bird, then sun, and a triangle.
You are only 40 feet away when you see this, and wonder how you got this close without seeing the statues before. At this moment you notice it …. bones, piles of bones scattered throughout the rock scree.
Norak holds his hand up to stop, holds his finger to his mouth, motioning for everyone to be quiet. He sniffs the air and bends down, sniffing the ground.
Norak whispers to Garth and the orc behind him, “Psst. There is an Owlbear nearby. We will create a distraction and draw out the owlbear and attack it. Let us move into position on either side of the opening. Someone, squawk like a bird and make flapping noises, go in the middle, when it rushes out we will kill it! Who shall it be?”

Assuming he hears Norak whisper, Salamir looks at him with a frown on his face.
"I don't do flapping and squawking noises as a general rule. I would be happy to play a tune on my lute to draw it out though", he says, taking his lute off his back.
"I'm trusting you all now", he says pointing his finger across all the Orcs and other Shadow Guardians.
He wanders out, looking up at the giant statues with appreciation, and starts to play. As he plays he moves around the area, his eyes alert for what may come.
Norak turns to Salamir with frustration and a growl and whispers tensely, saying “I said flapping and squawking, not singing and playing! Did you not hear! For the love of …”
Just at that moment an Owlbear comes crashing through the opening of cave mouth, instead of being lured out looking for an injured hawk for a snack, it comes out hearing distinctly humanoid sounds, it is angry, growling and snapping, ready to fight!

The owlbear comes out and roars, charging for Salamir. It turns its head to the side, looking for any additional foes. Salamir is 30 feet away, straight ahead out of the opening of the cave. She also waits tensely ready to rush when needed.
