Everyone finally heads up to bed and you do find the room and bed surprisingly comfortable. You all came here with different backgrounds and desires, but you feel united in the goal of looking into these problems around Glitter Creek. As you head down to breakfast the next morning you feel that the Sheriff is probably the best person to discuss the reward for the stolen payroll. The day is yours…

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
As the morning comes and Javier feels the sun on his face he stands up and lets out a big stretch. He gets dressed and looks at the newly healed scars he was beginning to acquire since he’s left the university, his fragile body was still fragile but not broken, not yet.
He takes out a small brass table top brazier from his component pouch and fills it with a few pieces of dried sage and rosemary, a stick of incensed he’s kept in a jar and a lump of black charcoal. He rubs a bit of the charcoal on his fingers as he draws a circle around the brazier with the residue before clapping his hands and lighting the contents on fire with [Tooltip Not Found] as the flames begin fill the brazier and the items begin to crackle. He opens a window to make sure the room doesn’t fill up with smoke as he sits cross legged in front of the fire, he waves his fingers delicately around the flames as he whispers a few kind words in celestial, the flames slowly turn from orange and red to white. As time passes, he pauses and looks up to the ceiling as he claps his hands once more and his familiar takes form as a pure white weasel appears on the ground next to him. It cocks it’s head and rolls around the ground playfully before climbing onto Javier’s shoulder. He chuckles “Hello my friend, it’s been some time hasn’t it? Olive.”
he pats her on the head then gathers his belongings. Cleaning up any mess before heading down to breakfast.
Salamir heads down to breakfast relatively early and requests some bacon with bread and a nice fruit cider. If any of the others are very early risers and already down, he will join them, otherwise he will choose a table with enough seats for all five of them.
"Well, it seems we have a couple of days until the next shipment needs guarding. I think after last night we are all interested in visiting the Sheriff to talk about the wanted poster. And these Forbidden Caverns and this fellow Dirak too. I will be visiting the outfitters today as well. Any of you have other plans?", he says when the others make it down.
Hlin gets up does some stretches to limber up her body. She then takes the time to don her armor and warhammer. She walks heavily into the seating area of the tavern and plunks down at the same table as the others. "That makes sense and I am interested in what the Sheriff knows. I don't have other plans so I guess I can wait for your return so we may approach the Sheriff together"
Belkaria walks down the hall, yawning and giving her backside a scratch she walks past Javier's room and notices the distinct smell of burning. She knocks, but doesn't get a response. She shrugs and heads downstairs. "Morning all, anyone burning something upstairs?" She takes a seat and listens to other's plans.. "Well, not sure what you're looking for at the outfitters, Salamir, but if you want company I'll join you. I'm sure my light coin purse isn't going to be purchasing anything anytime soon! But yeah, we need to go and visit the sheriff, and I wouldn't mind checking out that mine as well."she digs into the food that is on the table, enjoying warm food.
As you all are conversing Javier walks down the stairs with his familiar on his shoulders. He’s wiping the charcoal off his hands with a handkerchief. “You mentioned the outfitters? If you don’t mind, I’ll need to buy some spell components for any further missions we might have.”
he takes a seat and request a simple breakfast of fruit, toast and water. “I’m wondering what info the sheriff might have for us too… also curious about all these creepy rumors we heard last night.” He ends his sentence in a whisper as he behind to politely dig into his food. Handing a berry to His weasel to snack on.

The next morning, Gather walks slowly into the tap room and orders some food. He looks a little less disheveled than the previous night, and seems well-rested.
He nods at Hlin's; he has no interest in shopping and will happily eat his breakfast slowly, taking time to waken gently while he listens to the chatter in the tap room.
After you’ve had your breakfast, some coffee and your muscles are a little less sore, you can head out to wherever you like. For those needing supplies, the majority of items can be had at Hawhammer Outfitters, you’ll see Duke Bergen there and he can see if he has anything that you need.
For those seeking the Sheriff, you’ll find him at the jail. Sheriff Redd is sitting at his desk, writing in a journal. He is a stocky male dwarf with a red beard and two braids down the sides. Each braid has a gold band with dwarven runes carved into them. He wears a thick leather breastplate over his ruby red shirt. On his shoulder is a small brown scaled pseudodragon, and as you enter you can see Redd turn and talk to him with clear affection. He looks up as you open the door.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Salamir finishes his breakfast and, along with those interested in shopping, heads out early to Hawhammer Outfitters. He walks into the shop and tips his hat to Duke Bergen.
"Good to see you again Mr Bergen", he says to the proprietor. "There are a few things I was looking to see if you stocked, and if so the price. I also wondered if you offered a trade in price for items? I am looking to upgrade my leather armour when I can, with it being a little more on the dangerous side out here with the current jobs on offer. As well as that, I wondered if by any chance you sold playing cards or a lute? I am in need of something to pass time out here".
Javier follows Salamir to the outfitters and waves as Salamir gives his salutations before returning his hands behind his back clasped together.
“Umm if possible I’d also like to purchase some charcoal, incense and herbs… about 10gp worth and a few sheets of parchment please and thank you.”
there’s a bit of nervousness in his voice as it cracks but he stands tall once he remembers his familiar is with him. He pats her on the head and smiles.
Duke looks up at you with his right eye, his left is concealed behind an eye patch, what looks to be an old injury. He’s wearing tan pants and a faded blue shirt. His best is made of leather with bone buttons and of exquisite quality, he has the appearance of a former adventurer and now, a miner. He greets you as you come in.
“Salamir, is it? Good morning! Nick told me what a good job you did with bravely guarding our shipment, thank you for that! You have a good eye with the bow, that will serve you well. Please, if there is anything I can help you with, I’d love to. Here we sell mining equipment, soft goods, food, supplies, feed for farmers. We’re a one shop stop really.” When you are describing what you want, firmer leather armor with little studs in it, a disappointed look comes across his face. “I would love to help you with that, but I just don’t carry that sort of thing here. Ole Zeb at the Creekside Armory may have a couple of things, but nothing fancy like that. I do have some playing cards here to pass the time and I think we have an old lute over there in the corner, needs tuning. I’ll let you take both off of my hands for 37 gold pieces, does that sound good to you?”
Then Duke turns and eyes the young man before him, his eye focusing in on the white weasel, as he hasn’t seen anything like that in these parts. He looks extra long and hard, and then he smiles as he speaks to you. “You’re that young fella that Burt told me about. He said you looked like you were straight out of a library, all bookish and so forth. Don’t see as much of that in these parts, but he said you had an inner strength about you, and now that I see you, I believe him. Welcome to Glitter Creek Javier, I’m sure you’ll see some stuff here that you may not find in all of your books.”
When you ask for the incense and charcoal, parchment, he goes rummaging around behind a few cabinets, looking in some drawers and finally brings it out, sets it on the table. “Don’t get much call for this sort of thing, but someone brought this by about 6 months ago and I traded for it. Guess your *ahem* kind need it and all, from time to time. 13 gold pieces and it’s yours. Is that a deal?”

Belkaria follows Salamir and Javier to the outfitters. She looks around as the other two converse with the proprietor. She watches the man a bit, isn't this the one that hired them in the first place to guard his shipment? And he has another shipment for us to guard in a couple days? She doesn't interrupt the ones shopping, but she watches on, curious.
Salamir sucks in air through his teeth and shakes his head.
"Too rich for my blood I'm afraid. No matter, we will be headed back to Norwick soon enough, I am sure I can wait that long. It is a shame you don't offer an employee discount, seeing as how we seem to be working for you now. I'd have snapped your hand off for 27GP, what with that lute not even being new and all", he says with a shrug.
Duke smiles at Salamir and says “I appreciate the idea Salamir, an employee discount… hmm. Never thought of that before. Sorry about the prices, it’s hard to come by materials out here, now you know that firsthand. Tell you what. For doin such a good job, I’ll give you the playing cards for free. That lute’ll be 35 gold though, if you want it.”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Javier gets a little flustered by the compliment, blushing a little. “Oh I don’t know about strength but that was my first real combat and I’m here so that’s something to be proud of…. And that’s why I’m on this adventure, to learn what the books can’t teach me.” He then composed himself and gives a nod, handing 13gp to Duke.
he turns to his companion “I don’t have much but Can spot you a few gold if you’re short? I don’t mean to impose on your deal and we can always come back if you’d like.”
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Salamir smiles at Javier, "That's mighty kind Javier, but I couldn't take your coin. Maybe after another job or two together hey?".
He turns back to Duke and sighs, "Alas, even that is beyond my current budget, but once we collect on that next job of yours, who knows".
He starts to turn away, then pauses for a moment and turns back. "We are also interested in that reward for the payroll bandits. That would help some too. Don't suppose you know anything that might help on that score?", he adds, watching Duke carefully to try and read him when he replies.
Hlin follows the others to the market. She looks to her coin pouch and shakes her head. She looks over the wares, but has no intent of buying at this time. She waits until the others are ready so they can meet the sheriff together.
Javier nods and smiles as he waits back with the others ready to go. He puts his purchases away neatly and secured his new parchment in a round scroll tube.
Before they leave the shop, Belkaria heads up to Duke, "Nice place you have here, I'm sure we'll be back."and she heads out with the rest of the crew, meeting up with Garth and then heading to the jail.
