Darkness. Obsidean finds himself very comfortable in the dark, specially the pitch black dark place that he finds himself in at the moment. However, something does not feel right for the Earth Genasi. The stone wall fells... Cold, foreign to him. He does not know for how long he has been confined to this very small space, but he believes that it is time for him to, perhaps, leave, for he senses disturbances outside. He pushes the door, and to his surprise, it opens easily to the outside of a large cavern. He does not know where he is, but he has the feeling that he is deep underground.
(If anyone is watching the passage outside of the guard tower. A "door" made of stone, that it blends perfectly with the wall at a point between their cell, and the other one down below suddenly opens. A humanoid creature, that looks like he is made of rock and crystals that sprouts from his head, comes out of it.)
Obsidean steps out of his solitary cell, and slowly looks around, trying to get a stock of what is happening. He hears about places that are strange to him. Neverlight Grove, Gracklestugh, and Gauntlygrym. He has heard of the great Dwarven realm of Gauntlygrym. He slowly walks toward where the others are. One would assume that there is no sense of urgency for this one. After a few moments, he gathers that those are also prisoners like him, and seems that they were able to find some gear. Perhaps it might be a good idea for him to do the same. "Excuse me." He says politely but slowly to the others, but it's like he doesn't really acknowledges the others. He tries to find any blunt weapon, preferably two handed. (Investigation: 15)
As he looks around, and he is puzzled that gathered around him, there are several creatures foreign to him. Specially the little mushroom folk, and he tries not to step on it.
(PS. Sorry, wasn't anywhere near the roll, but yet, it was flagged as changed. The original roll is 15.)

Without much emotion, Obsidean reaches over to a shelf, and retrieves some items that he recognizes as his. First he slowly, and methodically wears on his chain mail. The equipment is weathered, and has rocks attached to some pieces here and there. People watching him is almost like watching paint dry on a wall. He then takes a huge Maul that is made entirely of stone, one would think it weights a ton, but he casually holds it with both hands. He then slowly turn around and looks at the elf that addressed him. "Rock man..." He thinks about it for a moment. "Yes... You may call me rock man." Then he takes another moment. "Yes, perhaps it might be a good idea to leave this place."

"Yes, I do have a name." Obsidean pauses for a moment. "You may call me Obsidean... Yes. That would be my name." He pauses for another moment. "It is my pleasure to make acquaintance with you Clarion Durga." He turns around to the half-orc. "Ohh... It is also a pleasure to meet you Arigar." Obsidean is trying very hard not to forget the new names he has been introduced. "Blingdenstone?" He pauses for another moment. "I have never heard of such places. Then again, I have not heard of many places that were mentioned previously. I must agree. Any place must be better than here." The Earth Genasi starts to follow the group. He will be one before the last.

"Hellish underworld?" Clarion turns back to Arigar with a gasp. "This is where I was raised! I'll have you know that the Underdark has it's own beauty, you simply have to be open to seeing it. Don't you think that the gnomes would have chosen to stay here like the drow, they would have to have adored this realm to make it their home."
He calms down somewhat, recognising that that wasn't what the half orc was actually asking.
"Look, I don't know if they'll accept us. I know that the Svirfneblin, that is, the deep gnomes, have a complicated relationship with the drow. Some of us may be more welcome than others."

Rus moves up between Arigar and Clarion and places a hand on each ones shoulder. "Of course there is beauty here, as in all nature," he starts looking over his shoulder toward stool with a slight smile and still with a little amazement. "I'm sure our friend here meant no harm. For it is difficult sometimes to see the beauty around you when there is so much else going on. I'm not sure how you all ended up in that cell back there, but I went for a slight nap in the woods one evening, next thing I know I wake up here in the dark." He pats Arigars shoulder. "So tell me about your people," Rus says to Clarion. "How did you end up here in prison," he paused and looked around, "with us?" Rus recounts what he recalls about ending up in this place. He'd been sent by the elders of his clan to try to find information or a cure of some type for the disease that has set in among the plants of their swamp. The whole place now just seemed... sick. Rus was looking through a forest at some plants he had never seen before and was gathering samples and trying to understand their properties. He had been there in that forest for quite a while without running into many souls at all. But, though he laid his head down in a peaceful sleep one evening, he awoke in the night in the darkness, his head covered, arms and legs bound. He was handled roughly and when it was all over, he was in the cell back where they had all recently met. Rus shuddered. "It was most impolite. And more than that, without any cause. At least, I do not think I was harming any land of theirs." Rus saddened a little as he thought back on the sun in that forest. He longed for mother earth and her sweet touch.

It takes a few moments for Obsidean to realize that Rus was speaking of his capture, and it makes him finally contemplate about his own fate. He remembers that he was meditating in a temple north of the region called the Sword Coast. From the temple, he remembers that he was able to see the majestic mountain range that the local monks called the Spine of the World, covered with white snow on top of the range. He was going to spend some time in this small and remote temple, then he would head to this great mountain up north, and perhaps commune with it. The last thing he remembers is that he started to meditate late in the day. He felt very peaceful praying to the Goddess Selune on that day, then the next thing he knows, he was lying on a cold stone floor. The floor felt very different, and he knew that he was in a very different place that he has never been before. He tried to politely request his captors to release him, but the dark skinned elves just laughed at him. He started to fight the guards with his bare stone hands, and managed to knock the teeth of a couple of them. He was then put into a solitary cell surrounded by strange, alien, stone walls.

Clarion touches his heart, a gesture of sympathy towards Rus upon hearing his story.
"I'm so sorry," he replies. "I promise, not all of my people are like that. As for how I found myself here, well..."
Clarion then recounts his own story of capture to the others: He told them about how he had been travelling on Blackford road when he took his leave at an inn. While there, he spoke to the drow innkeeper about the lands with which he travelled - the Moonshae isles, Orlumbor, Waterdeep... in retrospect, Clarion admits, he probably gave too much praise to the other races that he encountered there.
"The drow are not known for regarding other cultures highly," Clarion finishes sadly. "They probably thought I was a spy of some kind, and when I woke up after sleeping the night at the inn...well, I found myself here."
