The passage leads forward into the depths of the earth. It is a well carved tunnel, and it can be seen where the veins of mineral were for they had been extracted almost quirurgically.
"It's amazing " says Thandril as he passes one hand along one of the xones were the mineral were extracted that runs almost pararell to the carved floor "They even have polished the zones were the silver was. They do care about the rock as much as my people care about the trees..." he says reflexively.
The tunnel goes on and it eventually divides into two other tunnels.
Dr A. puts a hand into his more physical companions shoulders.
"Abut I do think I heard something on those tunnels. More of that... clicks if you will... yes... definetly in both of them..."
"We could try to lure them here," Gorm suggests. "If we choose one branching or the other we run the risk of those of the other coming up behind us. If we drew them towards us instead we would at least have them all in front of us?" It is perhaps not the brightest plan considering they had no idea how many of these creatures there may be, but she worried more about being surrounded.
"Perhaps if we threw something down one tunnel to try to lure them into coming this way? Shouting or such could bring both tunnels at once and perhaps be too much to handle?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Logan:
”An interesting tactical conundrum,” says Logan. “If the sounds are far away, we might be fortunate enough to only have to fight one group at a time if we choose just one tunnel. If they are close, we may be beset from behind while we are attacking to the front…Yet if we lure them all here, we will fight more of them, but only on one front.”
How far away are the sounds? Perception: 15

Paying attention it seems that the ones at the left tunnel are closer than the sounds coming from the right one. IT's hard to tell with the echoes on the rock, but Logan estimates that the ones at the left corridor are about 40 feet away and it seems that there are, at least , three creatures, whilst in the other one could be 60 ft or more? and he cannot say how many, but definetily there are more than one too.
Sharing what he has heard, Logan suggests, “I think we should try your idea, Gorm, with one twist. If we back down the way we came away from the intersection and set up for combat with you and I in the front providing protection for Doctor A and Thandril, we could have someone lure the closer of the two groups towards us, and hopefully we would be far enough away from the other group that they will not hear and join the combat. Even if they do, they will have a longer way to travel before arriving, then come upon the backs of their allies as they fight, limiting the number of foes who can engage us.”
Turning to Thandril, he asks, “Are you skilled in stealth and the way of wild creatures such as these? What do you think?”

"I can be subtle if necessary but I am more than a swordman and what your people call a practicioner of magic. I can stand my ground in the fight " he says confidently.
"Sounds worth a try," Gorm offers in response to Logan. "You and I can take the front, Thandril and Dr. Arebutaveyu behind. One of them can clank a couple tools repeatedly to try to get their attention and bring them to us..." Gorm hands back the tools she had grabbed to the good doctor and instead draws her scimitars with a bit of a smile upon her face. "Let's get ready."
Dr A gives a bow saying “ahbut I’m more than happy for anybody to stand in front of me. I’ll examine the creatures after they’re dead. But Gorm less enthusiasm this time if you don’t mind - the last one was a bit icky!”

“Right, let’s get set up,” says Logan, moving back about 40 feet or so from the intersection. Once they are set up with Logan and Gorm holding the front line in the passage and Doctor A behind, he asks Thandril, “Could you sneak to the intersection and shoot an arrow down the left corridor? Then get back here quietly and quickly to stand beside the doctor? If we can keep them contained and only have to deal with one or two at a time, we have a chance.”

"You got it" replies the elf "Even better I can send her and she will bring them to us... " he says poiting to the eagle "What?" he turns towards her "Of course I do care about your safety, but you can handle that! what do you do if they spit or something? I do not know.. dodge whatever they throw at you?"
With a glance that could freeze a roaring fireplace the eagle finally lifts and goes towards the designated tunnel.
"Don't worry" says Thandril assuming his position at Logan's side, his weapon at the ready. Logan notices that he was already tiptoing on his toes, not out of nervousness but with the cadence of a pugil or a dancer "she will be fine and will do great. She has a temper but she loves me... " he hesitates for a few seconds " in her own way... "
It's not long before they hear a screech from the corridor and the clickering intensifies.
"Here they come" says Thandril and just half a second later his familiar reappears and flight straight towards them. The creatures come charging after it. One, two, three.. no four of them come running through the tunnel, almost stomping in one another, even walking on the near vertical surface of the walls. As soon as they see them, they screech and charge forwards.
They all can hear the answer of the sounds from the other corridor, the other had heard the call for hunt of their comrades and have answered it.
Roll for initiative! I wouldn't say that they are surprised by you, but you were definetly waiting for them so you have advantage on the initiative roll.
Logan's plan is to have a handaxe out and throw it at the first one he can see as the enemy closes, then draw his longsword and do his best to block the passageway alongside Gorm.
Here is a handaxe attack if it helps set up the start of the battle...

Gorm stands steady and intends to be the rock these things have to crash against before getting to the others. Since she can basically see them coming she will try to time activating he dance right before the two groups actually clash so that she is prepared as can be. ((If she can start the rage on round before combat, lose that round of rage but not lose rage itself... Otherwise she Bonus Action rages on her first turn...))
Attacking recklessly for Advantage, attack rolls vs Gorm also have advantage this round...
Action - Scimitar Attack: 12 to hit, 11 damage
Bonus Action - Scimitar Attack (if I don't need for rage): 24 to hit, 9 damage
((OOC: sorry it tool longer than expetec to set up our olbear room but now that we are all set we can continue... ))
The creatures, seeing them, charge forwards and Logan throw an axe towards them, but it bounces in its quitinose body. They are prepared, though for the charge and unleash their weapons.
As the creatures approaches, Thandril begins to tiptoe on his feet, and the blade erupts in small, silvery flames that run across the edge of the curved and elegant blade he carries.
When the creatures approach Grom lauches two fast attacks with her scimitars, one of them cutting one of the beast but it seems that it only enrages it. The elf launches forward, it seems that the Kuthrik is going to delfect his blade but in the last moment the eagle distracts the beast, by hitting it in the head with its claws, giving the elf the chance to cut deep into the exposed flesh in the low part of the long neck. The silvery fire erupts and makes it screech, jumping toward the other one and burning it too.
Ok let's try to put some order here XD

Gorm continues her attack on the creature she is engaged with (moving to the next closest if somehow the original target has fallen.). She weaves in and out, feigning and dodging until she finds openings to try to take advantage of. Once again she attacks recklessly to gain advantage on her attacks but also giving advantage to those who attack her,
Scimitar Attack: 13 to hit, 10 damage
Bonus Action Scimitar Attack: Nat 20 for 27 to hit,19 damage
((Rolls in game log, +2 added to damage due to raging...))
The magic missiles strike the beast who takes a step back, but the others, pussing it from behind, throw it against Gorm's weapons. One bounces off one of the legs, but the other cuttss deep into the creature's belly and the black ichor they have for blood falls to the ground. The beast falls only for the one behind it to climb up its corpse and try to attack the desert nomad warrior.
