You easily deduce the Forest Walker was the under control of an unseen Fey creature that was nearby. It was likely playing tricks on you with the hallucinations of color, giggling, and having a tree do its dirty work.
Your fire spells seemed to cause a break in this control which is why it ran as opposed to remaining abnormally hostile.
As for which Fey creature, you cannot be sure. You cannot detect any further magical power in the immediate area.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Tucking her hands behind her neck, Ban will keep sight on her paladin friend, tagging a long, while reflecting on any nature-related means for the giggling and colours. When offered the ale, she politely refuses with a shake of the head and smile.
The hallucinations you all encountered and giggling voices were nothing that occurred naturally with the surrounding flora. You believe whatever it was had to be included by arcane means. You do know of some Fey creatures that make their home in the woods and play tricks on travelers, ranging from harmless tricks to outright malicious acts. This was probably a combination of both, given the tree randomly attacking.
Realgâr shrugs, tucks the ale away, and leads you all further down the trail. After another hour or so it is now evening and he says, "The clearing is this way."
You all venture slightly off the trail by maybe 100 ft and come to a circular clearing in the dense woods. The limbs from the surrounding trees almost making a dome-like enclosure. The ground of the clearing has soft moss and clovers to the point where a sleeping bag would feel like a luxurious mattress. In the center is a single large tree stump, almost as large as a dining table, surrounded by smaller stumps. This area, you all feel, has obviously been used before for gatherings of some kind. It also appears to be a near ideal place to sleep for the evening.
Realgâr sits down with his back to one of the stumps.
"Well, here is the clearin'. Not bad eh? We should be safe here while we get some shut eye — I can't put my finger on it, but this place feels protected somehow."
He takes out some chicken and some eggs and begins starting a small campfire in a circle of rocks that looks like it's been used for a firepit before. Whistling carefree as he does so.

Sarros and Ban quickly hide behind a couple trees on the edge of the clearing while Grol takes an aggressive battle stance with Zephyros beside him. Realgâr, confused, stays behind Grol and Zephyros. "Show yourself coward!"
A few moments later the melody is now clearly heard by everyone as it approaches the clearing. Through the trees about 30ft away you see a female Satyr approaching you all.
Affixed to her back she carries a whole array of fruits, nuts, and almost anything you can think of that may be harvested from a forest, as well as several jugs of what you assume is drink of some sort. She sees the three in the clearing, stops playing her flute, and says "Oh my, visitors." She sees Grol and Zephyros with swords drawn and says, "No need for those, I mean you no harm."
She casts Minor Illusion, and to Grol and Zephyros, their swords look like large sunflowers in their hand.
She slowly approaches, but still remains about 15ft feet away from the 3 in the center. The Satyr smells the air for a moment and briefly looks to the edge of the glade, seeming to realize there is something amiss, and says, "My name is Dawn. Welcome to my glade, you may join me if you wish." Dawn pats the food on her back and smiles, but looks to see what your reactions will be.
(She does not openly see Sarros or Ban on the edge behind a tree, but seems to realize there's more than just Realgâr, Grol, and Zephyros in the glade)
The only weapon that you can see is a quarterstaff, which is on her back.
You believe Dawn is being sincere in that she means no harm. You also get the feeling, tuning into your insight into all things arcane, that her illusion on Grol and Zephyros's weapons were more playful in nature rather than sinister. There is also the feeling that this glade is magically protected, barring anything evil from entering.
Dawn says to Grol, "You are welcome to it if you change your mind. You two in particular look like you've been in a scuffle recently. Do you need aid?" She sets out a cloth on the large stump in the center then begins putting down all matter of fruits, vegetables, nuts, and other assorted foods. Taking out 4 wooden cups, she pours a light blue liquid into them and places them in the table before the 3 of you and herself. It smells like a sweet, fruity alcoholic drink. "This will help ease the discomfort in your bodies."
She sits on a stump across from Grol, Zephyros, and Realgâr, holds up her cup and says, "Cheers, friends." and drinks.
Realgâr is mildly skeptical, but nevertheless takes her up on the offer of alcohol. He decides to taste test it for the others just in case, his dwarven constitution paying no mind to any potential poison within it. He downs it and a twinkle appears in his eye and his fatigue seems to wash away on his face.
"A splendid drink. A wild berry wine?"he says to Dawn.
She nods and finishes drinking hers, Realgâr does the same. He gives a nod to Grol and Zephyros, indicating that it's safe to drink.
Dawn takes out several more cups and fills them (9 cups on the stump in total). "Others will be here soon. Do not fear them. Nothing evil may pass through here."
Dawn sits and fills another cup for herself as begins tidying up the spread of food and drink set before you both, her eyes darting back to Grol and Zephyros.
