With her friends scanning the room for signs of magic and intruders, Rae elects to do the same.  She takes a deep breath to compose herself from all of the previous running and scans the room.

Perception: 19+5=24

Praxius,

The Rito seem's undisturbed by your verbal threat to disembowel him, In fact his focus seems to be on the Knight rather than yourself. Knight Feld shoots you a sideways glance, "Praxius, Our only concern now is the Hostage. Antagonizing him will serve us no benefit." She looks back to the Rito, still holding her hands in front of her. "Relax, No one needs to be hurt. I Am Knight Feld, We just want to talk." The Rito seems untrusting, From the angle it is within the dimly lit room it is hard to make out most of his physical form. "Go on." He sounds out. At this point Dagoro steps in behind the pair of you, his entire frame taking up the door as he ushes threw, blocking off the exit to the room entirely. 

Paca, Rae, Quiggley and Theo.

Rae, You stare up at the celing, In the dim light cascading in to the room you are able to see a unlit lantern, Supsended in mid air roughly forty feet off the ground. 

Quiggley, You can sense that there is a creature of a Magical nature within the entry hall. You can plainly see traces of it within the air, however you are unable to determine precisely where it is located.

Paca, Lizi zips around your shoulders. Trying desperately to  find what is lurking within the shadowed hall, She floats thirty feet up....thirty five....forty and then she stops. You hear a familiar bell-like noise sound out from her, signaling that she has focused in on something. However you cant see anything in the space.

You hear the bells begin to toll once more, from wherever you are within the city limits you can hear their low sound echo within the city walls. 

Paca points at Lizi to show the others where the creature is and throws his dagger. "Whatever it is is there! Lizi found it. Let's get it!"

Rae points out the lantern for her friends to see, "Look there, floating midair.  Seems to be an unlit lantern."

Quiggley casts Faerie Fire around the twenty foot area about Lizi and the unlit lamp, hoping to outline what they are not seeing along with Lizi and the lamp.

Praxius places the point of his great sword down on the ground and leans on the cross guard.

"It seems we are more interested in the information you hold than ending your life, right now. If I were you I would listen to the Knight here, and tell her everything you know, because my patience for one runs out very quickly", he says attempting to help Knight Feld with her interrogation.

Action: help with Knight Feld's persuasion check.

Praxius,

The Rito keeps his guard up, his attention split between both you and the Knight. In this unwinnable situation a thought occurs to you, When an animal is backed into a corner. It will do everything it can to survive, and if it cant....It will not go quietly. 

"We just want to know who you are working for, Since when do the Rito conspire against the Monarchy?" Knight Feld lower's her arms to her side, ready to act if the need should arise. 

There is a few moments of silence as the Rito considers the Knights question, In these moments the woman clutched in his feathered arm is visibly shaking with fear. "......A Lynel approached me, about a week ago. He offered me a fortune if I were to deliver two vials for him." He looks to you Praxius, eyeing the satchel you had cut from his body. 

Rae, Quiggley,Paca and Theo,

Lizi circles around the invisible creature, However the wide trail she is following misleads your aim Paca. Your Dagger sails into the air and clatters harmlessly against the floor, 40-ish feet away. With Rae's direction, Quiggley reaches into his pouch and tosses a handful of dust into the air, The dust hangs for a moment before a roar of magical energy seeps through it, It ignites and coats the invisible figure as well as Lizi. 

Now you are able to see the outline of a featureless, tall and slender figure who seems to be wearing very loose fitted clothing. It does not move or react in the slightest, The lantern gripped within its fist still unlit. 

"Deliver these vials to whom? I bet you don't even know what is in them", Praxius interjects as he pats the satchel that he has tied around his belt.

As he speaks, he watches for an opportunity to get the woman the Rito is holding out, or to at least get in between them.

Quiggley simply acting on an impulse casts Prestidigitation using the spell to light the apparition's lamp.

Persuasion 7+4=11

"Hey there..ughh.ugh.. creature? We can see you now so the jig is up! Tell us what you are doing here and we will let you go. And if you don't tell us everything you know...well.." Paca gestures towards Theo and Bad News, "This may look like an ordinary musical instrument, I mean I thought it was too at first, but I promise you this... it will blow a hole right through your...ugh.. chest!

Paca is feeling like he is getting the hang of this whole adventuring business...

Praxius,

The Rito examines the situation further, his eyes eventually falling to the moving mountain that is Dagoro. The exit is completely blocked by his frame, The Rito sensing that there is no way he can exit the room of his own free will, lets go of the woman. The Woman stumbles forward and immediately runs to her partner, they grasp and hold eachother as the Rito drops his weapon to the ground. "I was meant to deliver them to Reli." He looks to the Knight. 

Knight Feld immediately tenses up, taking a step towards the Rito. "The Commander? What do the vials contain?" She glances to you Praxius, trying to get a view of the vials which you now carry. The Rito begins to chuckle, The chuckle turns into a Laugh.

"What is so funny about this situation? You betray a member of your own race and find yourself backed into a corner." Knight Feld exclaims, her hand slipping to her concealed weapon. 

Theo,Rae, Paca and Quiggley,

Quiggley, you attempt to light the lantern but find yourself unable to do so. It is not an ordinary lantern that can be manipulated with foreign magic. 

The Creature does move, It turns to face you Paca. It's movement is stiff, as if it is frozen solid. However once it does face you Paca, you cant help but feel a chill creep up your spine. Lizi returns to your shoulder to whisper into your ear. 

"Paca!, I know what this thing is! It's a Poe!" Lizi whispers into your ear, More information will be in your player channel Paca. 

Having had enough of the chit chat, as soon as the woman manages to get away from the Rito, Praxius rushes in to restrain them. As he moves he passes the satchel to Dagoro, “Keep this safe”.

He looks to grip them one handed, still holding his great sword in the other.

Praxius,

Rushing through the room, you gain the small distance seperating you from your target within two steps. With your blade dragging along the wooden floor, carving a line you grasp toward the Rito. The Rito immediately ducks, causing your hand to strike the wall behind him. You feel your wrist pop and a jolt of pain surge up your arm as you jam you bones together. The Rito steps to your right, his feet barely making a sound on the floor. Looking to the exit, still blocked by the large Goron. Knight Feld stepping up behind you, ready to attack at a moments notice. 

The Rito just laughs louder, pulling a dagger from his belt. "Tell Reli, The Rito remember." His final words before he sinks the dagger into his own chest, burying the 10-inch blade to the hilt. A trail of blood falls from his beak, The Rito stumbles back and collapses to the floor. Still chuckling in the last moments of his life. "Vol-" His last words are cut off as his final breath escapes his lungs, his arms fall limp to the wooden floor. 

Paca announces to the rest of the group, "That thing is...an undead!" he is visibly trembling now. "Whatever you do, do not follow it. The lantern will guide you to a trap. Lizi says they haunt places that are tainted of evil, so why is it here?"

Praxius curses as the pain spikes through his fingers and up his wrist, and then again when the Rito kills itself.

He carefully sheathes his sword on his back, making sure not to break anything in the room, then reaches down and grabs the Rito. He drags it one handed outside, and as he passes Dagoro, he retrieves the satchel and carries it in the other hand.

"Well that could have gone better, but we know more than we did", he says matter of factly. There is no apology for allowing the Rito to kill itself.

"So this Reli, the Commander, I guess no good comes from them being involved? Have they betrayed the city?", he enquires of Knight Feld when she joins him outside.

With the party's attention on the floating undead above, Rae barely remembers the blood curling scream the they had heard moments ago.  She does a quick scan of the room to see if she could find the origin of the scream.

Perception Check: 11+5=16

“Maybe it has to do with the history of this castle,” Theo says. He tries to remember anything about the castle being tainted by evil in history.

History: 13 + 3 = 16

Quiggley hears Paca's announcement. Pulling the Faerie sized staff from his back. Using two hands he aims the end of it at the Poe. Similar to how Theo holds bad news

"Sorry, if there was more time we would definitely investigate you, but we are in the middle of some kind of insurrection. I hope you understand.", Quiggley apologizes

Then fires off all seven charges of the staff (wand of magic missiles) shooting nine bolts of silver light at the Poe in rapid succession.

Praxius,

Indeed the Knight does follow you outside while the lumbering giant, Dagoro remains to calm the civilians. Stepping into the night air, the first thing you notice is the smell. Black smoke chokes the air as the city burns, you can see that most of the Times is coated in flame as most citizens chose to hide from the barrage of arrows. There are some, carrying buckets of water from a nearby well in an attempt to save a few buildings but their efforts are futile. The flames have grown too large, The city is burning. 

"Doubtful" Knight Feld takes a deep breath, surveying the current state of her home. Of course there is no sign of sadness or regret, she is a Knight. "Commander Reli oversees the entire second battalion of the army, In fact Im certain he is leading the army against the attacking force as we speak." She steps in front of you Praxius, holding her hand out. "Give me those vials, It's time to find out what was meant to be delivered to Reli." 

Rae,Theo,Paca and Quiggley,

Quiggley, you thrust your staff into the air. Causing greenish bolts of arcane energy to surge from the tip, they sail through the air. Leaving behind sparks of that same energy as they all converge on the target of your choosing. They impact into the Poe will small thuds, each one exploding into a shower of arcane electricity as they collide. The Barrage of energy comes to an end when after the sixth bolt strikes the Poe, the undead simply crumbles into dust. 

“This castle has been here for a long time,” Theo says watching the Poe crumble. “One hundred years ago, this castle was ruled by the Calamity, and its malice cover every inch. I’m not surprised that the Poe is here then. Such evil isn’t easily removed from this place.”
