Theo gives the Knight a bow, which looks kind of awkward with his short stature. “Lady Knight,” he says, “My name is Theodore, but most people call me Theo. I’m a smith, creating my own weapons. I was looking to test them when the Bokobins attacked.” He nods his head to Bad News, which he unloads and shoulders, pocketing the ammo in a small pouch.
Theo runs a hand through his hair, which almost seems gold in the sunlight. “Lady Knight, if you don’t mind me asking, how did the Bokobins get here? And why are they now returning?” A concerned look crosses his face. “I haven’t heard any rumors in my recent travels. Is there something happening in the world?”
A small smile curls on her thin lips and replies with a small curtsey, The Knight. "Well met Theodore and to you as well Rae" She flips the daggers in her hands and slides them back into the sheaths concealed on her lower back. Addressing the remaining soldier, she runs wipes a bead of sweat from her forehead as she takes a step towards one of the fallen. "Shame, they were so close to the end of their probation." Her sky-blue cloak adorned in the royal symbol of Hyrule, A Might eagle carrying the sacred relic. Is a symbol to all of you. Even with your varying knowledge of the land, you all know of the Knights. There is dozens of stories, Detailing exploits of Knights. One supposedly sealed a dragon within Dragon roost peak, Such the mountain gained its namesake.
Another was supposedly so strong, they could lift a Biggoron; On rare occasions a Goron can grow as large as a mountain. Whatever the tale, It was always outlandish and seemingly fictional. More stories told to the young, to give them something to aspire to.
"My name is Kris Feld, Hylian Knight. Im afraid Bokoblins have been reported to be raiding along the main roads for the better part of a week now" Her gaze falls onto the fleeing Red Bokoblins, still visible but quite a distance at this point. "Most people traveling to the city for the Festival are simple folk, easy prey. The Bokoblin take what they want, Kill one or two as a message and leave. We were laying in wait for them to make another attempt, Althought I'd be willing to wager they didnt expect some of their prey to fight back" Now she turns to address Theodore and Rae.
"Your weapon, while odd and obnoxiously loud" She stifles threw an exasperated laugh. "Is effective, And you seem to have some skill in close quarters combat. It is to be commended." The remaining soldier has been attempting to wrangle the horses that remain, Which is proving to be a difficult task for them. Kris sigh's, Picking a small horshore shaped whistle from her belt and blowing into it. A soft harmony floats from it, not jaring or sharp as one would expect from a whistle. The three remaining mounts immediately stop fleeing from the Soldier and softly trot upto the Knight.
"Help me bring the corpses back Soldier" The order seems a little cruel, as the Soldier joins in. Clearly exhausted from chasing after horses in full plate armor. "My thanks to you and your companions, find me before the festival. I should like to present you with a token of Hyrules gratitude"

Her eyebrows raise with her jaw slightly falling open at your appearence Paca, during the confrontation you had been blocked from view behind the Goron so this is the first she is actually seeing of you. "A Kokiri! So far from the wood.....Interesting. I guess the festival is attracting even the reclusive folk of these lands." She then points to the Goron, who is just scratching his head. "The kokiri is with us." Rae turns to Paca, "And you did help. Your music bolstered Theo's attack; it helped him strike true. And your spell created an opening for me to attack with reckless abandon. Do not downplay your worth friend."
Rae turns to the knight once more, "I have not become acquainted with the Goron fellow as I have with these three others, but I can attest that he also contributed to our victory in battle."
Praxius keeps himself out of view of the knight but listens as she explains the situation of the bokoblins harassing the travellers along the road.
Typical of their kind, he thinks.
He happily allows the others to do the talking, but winces slightly, unseen under his hood, as Paca mentions him by name.
It is doubtful my name has any meaning now anyway.
He could still feel that little sense of potential that had come upon him, the gift from Paca.
”Rae speaks truly, Paca”, he says quietly, but just loud enough for him to hear.
He turns slightly so he can get a proper look at the knight from within the shadows of his hood. He has seen the Hero in combat before, unequalled with a blade. How does this one match up?
Theo turns to Paca, putting a hand on his shoulder. "Paca, don't let anyone say your gifts are worthless, including yourself or anyone else.” He pauses for a second. “I know what it’s like when people don’t appreciate what you have to offer, or think you aren’t good enough. Don’t ever let this voices define who you are, or what you do.”
Glancing behind the Goron, Theo calls out, “Come out Praxius! Share our success with us!”
The Goron, a looming behemoth made of stone with metal plates affixed into his very being. Does not know or notice the being concealing themself behind him. "So yer sayin-" He is cut off but the Knight, who steps to meet the Goron face to face. "Have you ever considered joining the Hyrulean army? Someone of your size would make a fine and welcome addition"
The Goron stumbles threw his reponse, "I-i have not Lady Knight, You see I-" He is cut off again by the Knight, this time turning to grab the reins of the Horses as the Soldier has laboured to place the dead upon them. "Shame, Enjoy the Festival and be sure to come see me for your reward!" Her voice carries slightly as she leads the horse down the road, pass the group of Huddled civilians who still seem shaken from what had just occured.
Praxius:
Praxius, You dont really have a baseline when it comes to this Knight in particular. She seemed comfortable with her weapons but unfortunately you have not seen enough to give you an idea of her ability.
The Goron stands dumbfounded, his large hand flattens against his featureless, dome shaped skull. "I heard Knight's are somethin to behold but that one, I reckon could use a lesson in Manners." Saying loudly, to no one in particular. "SPEAKIN OF, Name's Dagoro, Pleasure to meet all yall"He extends his massive hand forward as a gesture, His little finger is just as large as your leg Paca. After hearing his new friends' words of encouragement. Paca whispers to his fairy Lizi. "Maybe there is more to me after all then. This magic must be special."
Paca grabs Dagoro by the finger in an attempt to shake his hand and says, "Hello Dagoro. My name is Paca." Looking to the scared crowd of civilians. "I am going to see if I can calm the crowd. Hopefully get them back in the spirit for the festival."
Paca pulls out his pan flute as he approaches the crowd and begins playing a gentle soothing song in hopes to calm the nerves of the civilians.
Praxius watches the knight ride off and joins the others, once more lowering his hood, his cloak shrinking as he does so.
"I had hoped my time spent fighting Bokoblins was in the past", he says with a sigh. "But we are alive, as are the people on the road. That means our actions had worth".
He looks up to the big Goron, "Well met, Dagoro. The knight was curt, that is true. I will reserve judgement though".
He watches Paca go over and entertain the crowd with his music, following a short distance behind. Music was something he had truly missed over the years he had been away, and he listens as his mind wanders.
So the strange magic still comes upon me when I fight, even beyond the borders of the Lost Woods, he thinks, not sure if that is a good thing or bad.
“Well, that was exciting, don’t you think?” Theo says to the group. Turning to the Goron, Theo greets him. “My name is Theodore, but you can call me Theo. Lets see what this festival has to offer for us.”
Theo wanders into the city. While walking, he thinks about the words he said to Paca. Memories stirred up in his mind, ones he had forgotten about for many years. I will show him that I am worthy, he thinks to himself. I have to tell the others, eventually. There’s no way to hide it for that long.
Shuffling up to Rae, Praxius, and Dagoro, Theo looks at all of the people and things going on around them. “Paca plays very well, don’t you think?” he comments watching the crowd listening to him.
Paca's joyful harmony does seem to lift the fear of the onlookers, most of them visibly relax with some even breaking a smile and tap their feet along to the tune. Dagoro chuckles as the journey to the city continues, With the gates in sight and the threat of Bokoblins now behind you. You all find a certain energy in your step that quickens your pace. Soon you find yourself passing threw the massive wood and stone gates of Hyrule City. To say the city is massive would be an understatement.
Upon entering the city the first thing you do is veer your gaze upwards, the gates to the city alone are over 300 feet high and 15 feet thick. Stone brick walls encircle the entirety of this metropolis that is bristling with life. While the roadways in this particular part of the city are nothing but dirt and mud, It is packed with people attending the Festival. You stand shoulder to shoulder in a sea of folk from all across Hyrule. There is a cocophony of noise that drowns out any hope of civil conversation as people move further into the city, You are constantly hearing the sounds of farm animals. Cucco's and Cow's that are being herded or lead into a particular area and suddenly you realize, the Mud is not Mud.
This is the Agricultural center of Hyrule itself, A burough within the city known as Ordon's horn. Aptly named for a species of goat that outnumber the other livestock 3 to 1. Had you passed threw the western gate to the ringed city you would have had to trek threw leagues of farmland. This is where you can find fresh produce of all kinds as well as various kinds of Meats both salted and raw, Not strictly an area to sell items other than that you do notice dozens of vendors along the roadway leading further in, selling various wares. Goron's selling metals and rough cut gems, Gerudo selling finely made tapestries and clothing and Zora's selling freshly caught fish.
"ITS GUNNA BE A PAIN GETTING A PLACE TO PUT YER HEAD FOR THE NIGHT" Dagoro bellows over the sea of noise filling the air as the massive Goron cautiously moves along with the four of you, Even his booming voice is nearly drowned within it.
Rae walks closely behind Dagoro where his large frame offered shielding from the oncoming crowd of people. "I haven't even thought of lodging. Do you recommend any inns, Dagoro?"
Paca, having never seen this amount of people in one place, let alone ever in his life, is stunned and amazed. Seemingly speechless. He scans the crowd looking for any sort of music or any sort of artistic street performance.
Praxius walks alongside Dagoro, his frame small in comparison, but his apparel and demeanour not looking like someone you should get in the way of.
"All we need is some clean ground to lay upon, which might prove difficult", he says looking around at the surface of the road.
"Is anyone familiar with the city, and where we should be heading? I take it you all wish to follow up on the knights request to see her?", he asks the others looking a little reluctant himself.
Initimidaton: 7+3=10 (if needed to move unimpeded, otherwise he will push his way through people who get in the way. In truth, Dagoro probably does a better job of clearing the way))
“I’ve actually been in this city a few times,” Theo comments. “Most of the inns are likely booked by now, but there might be one that has a couple rooms. It’s a nice place (and slightly expensive), but it would be fine for us. It’s called The Willful Wanderer, but we need to go deeper into the city if we want to go there.”
Rae responds to Theo "If lodging is sparce I suppose any place is as good as any, even if it's a little pricey. Though I'm also not opposed to sleeping anywhere out in the open."
She then turns to Praxius, "Though I'm sure a visit with the knight has its own strings attached, I could use some money. Which I'm hoping is our reward for assisting with the bokoblins."
"If you know this city, I will follow your lead", Praxius says to Theo. "How can you live with so many people so tightly packed in?", he asks no-one in particular.
He looks about for anything he might see that would spark something within his mind. There must be something to reveal the purpose of my visit, he thinks as they walk.
Dagoro gently strolls threw the packed roadways, taking care to not harm anyone due to his size. It actually looks a fair bit comical, with his arms outstretched, his relatively small legs gently hopping along the path, the massive Goron is without doubt a being of extraordinary strength but it appears he is also a gentle soul.
"I've been here a couple times before and my usual spot is likely a bit too hot for you folk Im afraid. Though the Willful Wander would likely have a spare room or two, from what I know it's a bit on the pricy side o'things." His response comes as Theo step's in to lead the trek threw the city, With the Halfling being more familiar with the city and it's five buroughs than the rest of you. Leading you threw Ordon's Horn, eventually after 20 minutes of shoulder to shoulder, confined quarters among a sea of people the crowd breaks. Seemingly dispersing as you reach the second Burough of the city, Time's Respite.
The pathway becomes worked stone brick and the smell of animals fade from the air as you pass into this ring of the city, Where the Horn was more open, with some buildings scattered about this area is much more packed. Tall wooden structures take up most of the area, Most of it you gather is general housing as the people of the City would surely need somewhere to rest their heads. The roadway splits into a crossroad, with Theo in the lead he shows you down the Western path into the Slumbering Distict, named for the sheer amount of Inn's located within this part of the city. It's at this point Dagoro splits from the group, Taking the easterly roadway into the Shopping center of the City. "'Fraid my lodgings are this way, May we meet again!" The Large Goron shouts over his shoulder as he lubmers down the roadway, taking up most of the path on his own.
Time's Respite, Or the Times. Is perhaps the most well traveled ring within this city, Comprised of three districts. Solumn Lullaby, where nearly all Inn's, bars and the Willful Wander is located, your current destination. Most of the buildings have a sign on their door reading "No Vacancy" but you quickly gather they are not the place Theo had spoken of.
At the end of the pathway, taking up a large portion of this area you see a massive five story manor with a cascading staircase leading upto to a pair of well made doors. Blue and violet tapestires hang loosely all over the building, what light coming from the dozens of windows are dulled by the actual thickness of the glass. This Is the Willful Wander.
