Qelline sits down and munches on a burrito of her own before answering. “There’s a pretty sizable halfling community up in Thundertree. There’s always magic types that come to us for one reason or another, but a kindly old witch of the wilds always came by once or twice every week for second dinner and nighttime tea when I was a child. Now that I think about it, she always had some little dragon born hatchling attached to her hips, had a bit of a crush on em before I found Davey. I never really trained or nuttin’, but having her for a weird aunt meant I picked up on a couple tricks over my life time. She and the little Dragon born stopped coming by one day, and I eventually met Davey. We decided to get up and move out of town to have our own lives, and we ended up here. It was nice for a few years, but a few weeks ago the Red’s popped up in town over night, and well Davey was always a head strong man, was his doom there in the end. The entire town is waiting for the other shoe to drop, as much as I love Carp, he can’t keep his mouth shut, and we’ve gotten a few nighttime visitors. I’m considering moving back to Thundertree, much as I love this town, it’s gotten to dangerous, I know a lot of others who feel this way, I suspect once one family does it, everyone else will follow.”
AB steps forward toward the lead man, a wide grin on his face. (Charisma: 23) "Good evening, fellas. I'm so glad you decided to say hello. I've been hearing so many wonderful things about your organization. In fact, I have a little gift for you." In a flash, AB draws both swords across his belly and thrusts them forward in twin jabs at the leader.
Shortsword Attack: 5; Damage: 6 piercing damage
Shortsword Attack: 4; Damage: 6 piercing damage
OOC: That leader's a sneaky devil. If AB's charm wins me advantage on either of those (maybe both?) because of sneak attack, let me know.
Kor exchanged a look with Berrus when she mentioned a dragonborn raised by a nature magic user. Shrugging his shoulders a bit, he figured he'd let Val know and come what may. When Quelline finished her story, Kor said, "Interesting tale, I dabbled in magic a bit myself when I was younger. And it seems you and my friend may have more in common than I thought," to demonstrate his talent he whispered an incantation and tapped the table twice. Small waves of color spread from where is finger touched forming two small images on the table, one of Val, the other of Quelline that vanished shortly thereafter. "Liked I mentioned outside, we're looking put an end to Glasstaff's designs on this town. Anything you can tell us that could help with that will go a long way towards putting your town to rights."
AB: Sure reroll both attack rolls, and damadge rolls while your at it.
The three of you involved roll Initiative!
Kor: “Like I said, they all swept into Town a few weeks ago. Glasstaff is probably some magic type with that name of his, but other then that I doubt I could tell you much more then you already know. The manor itself is completely ruined, has been since me and Davey moved in, so I imagine the entire base is in the basement. Going in through the main entrance is probably a death sentence, guards upon guards waiting for you at the bottom of the steps. I have no doubt you’ve heard Carp’s story by now.” She says, shooting the young boy the patent mother death glare, before turning back to you. “That’s probably your best bet on going through. My guess is whatever is in that cave is probably the only defense in that entrance. I don’t know if it’s because the Red’s think it’s a good enough defense by itself, or they are too scared to House their men in their with whatever it is, but it sounds pretty ominous either way. If you swing over before you storm the place, I can give you a few woodland creatures as lookouts or scouts.”
"Sounds great, we'll do that. It'll be a few days before we're ready to make a move on him though. We'll be helping around town with some other issues in the mean time, some undead and an orc encampment." Kor tells the woman.
He continues to make small talk with the halfings and Berrus. When Berrus is ready to leave as well, Kor thanks Quelline for the food and the info and ruffles Carp's hair then heads back to the inn.
Ruling, Kor and Berrus will walk into the scene at the beggining of round 3. You can both roll Initiative now if you want.
Berrus: Qelline immediately sees what you’ve done, but pretends not to, although she shoots you a appreciative smile.Carp is too busy play stabbing Kor after the hair ruffle to notice.
Current Order: *Kor*, Thug 2, *Berrus*, Val, Dancer, Leader, Thug 3, AB, Thug 1
Just waiting on Mav! Kor and Berrus, you have to wait until round 3 to join the fight, if you choose to do so.
... Kor and Berrus round the corner, seeing the other three members of their party engaged in hand-to-hand combat with several townsfolk wearing red bandannas. "F'ing AB," they say in unison, slowly stepping backward and out of sight.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Current Order: *Kor*, Thug 2, *Berrus*, Val, Dancer, Mav, Leader, Thug 3, AB, Thug 1
Since Kor and Berrus arnt here yet, we will begin the second round with Thug 2!
When AB sucker punches the Thug’s leader with a quick slash of his swords, the lackys shout in indignation and charge forwards. Thug two will swing twice at Mav with a rusty short sword!
Hit 1: 5
Hit 2: 18
Damadge: 7
The Thug gets a shallow hit that draws some blood from your midsection Mav, and misses his second swing. I’ll update your HP for you guys, Val it’s your turn! (1 Thug is on Ab, 1 is on Mav, two are bunched togeather ten or so feet in front of you guys)
Well Honestly, Dancer is going to take the Hide action regardless of what Val does, slinking to the corner of everyone’s peripheral vision, waiting for that optimal chance to strike.
Val or Mav, your turns are up! Mav remember that you have Thug 2 right in front of you.
Current Order: *Kor*, Thug 2, *Berrus*, Val, Dancer, Mav, Leader, Thug 3, AB, Thug 1
