Surprised at the sudden action, Valathar drops Dancers leash. It takes a moment for him to act, but as soon as the Abs swings and a thing swings at Mav, Valathar draws his staff up in front of him. Clacking the butt of the staff on the ground, he speaks an incantation, imbuing it with power. Stepping toward the man that slashed at his friend, he swings the staff hard, in the hopes of stopping the man.
Val, you crack your magically infused staff into the poor man’s ribs, where a sickening crack rings out, followed shortly by the mans scream. He is still up, and him and his friends look blood thirty now.
Mav, hell have no fury like a pissed off Half Orc, and the Thug crumbles to the ground like a Marionette with it's string's cut. Shiny Fresh Bruises cover his body, and he's moaning loudly in pain on the ground.
AB: The leader grin's down at you, despite the bleeding scratch on his chest, and suddenly explodes into action, like a demon possessed, and his iron club rains down on you over and over and over again.
Hit 1: 12
Hit 2: 7
Action Surge!
Hit 3: 22
Hit 4: 9
Damage for the one hit that goes through: 6
(Not gonna lie, that was one of the most disappointing moments of my life)
Almost by instinct, AB calls from within himself an energy he's never felt before (Zyphyr Strike bonus action), swings one sword at the leader at incredible speed,
Shortsword Attack with Zephyr Strike: 18; Damage: 7 piercing damage
and then amazingly moves away 60 feet in the blink of an eye, not giving anyone around him an opportunity to retaliate.
EDIT: I just realized Zephyr Strike is verbal, so let's say AB says a short phrase in Dwarvish, and then he feels the energy within. Does anybody else speak Dwarvish?

AB: Please tell me where you went! The swing goes through, and a bigger, bloodier scratch forms an X on the leader's torso. He's extremely angry, looking around blindly for you wherever you went, he was not fast enough to track you escape.
Thug 1 pulls out a Molotov cocktail from his jacket, lights it, and throws it on Mav and Val since they are grouped together!
Throw Roll: 11
Val and Mav, please roll a Dex Save, beating that 20 roll, otherwise take 4 Fire Damadge, and a D4 Fire Damage roll at the beginning of your turns until you put yourself out. A successful save is a complete dodge.
Current Order: *Kor*, Thug 2, *Berrus*, Val, Dancer, Mav, Leader, Thug 3, AB, Thug 1
Since Thug 2 is down, and Kor and Berrus have one more turn to show up, Kor and Mav, it's your turn anyways! Dancer will go after you two make your decisions.
AB is planning to attack from a distance now, so if there's somewhere he can be that gives him partial cover, but he still has clear line of sight in order to shoot with his longbow, but should also be 60 feet away. If he can be on the other side of Dancer (so she's a kind of speed bump), that would be a bonus.
I’m retconning the fight a little bit. The thugs lead/pulled you guys behind one of the towns buildings, so you have a random store backs, in a long line to your collective rights, crumbling ruins of a long abandoned stone building to your left. However Ab, these are only 30 feet away from the thugs, but they do offer partial protection, and open space to your front and backs. Dancer was indeed stalking close to the ruins in case she needed to dodge something. (Wish I could make a map, but I’m on the road today!)

Kor nods to Berrus with a grin, hearing the sound of fighting coming from the alleyway ahead and jogs forward leaving Berrus a little ways behind. Peaking around the corner he sees, and hears, AB struggling to breathe, likely from broken ribs given the way he was holding his side. Looking further up the alley, past Mav and Val, Kor sees two huge thugs with weighty clubs scowling at the others. Now I know how AB got those busted ribs and I can probably guess how this whole thing started. His inspection of the thugs was cut off when another man with a red bandanna throws a flaming bottle towards the party.
Using the distraction of the shattering explosive, Kor slips ahead past AB and into the ruined building to the west, trying to stay out of sight of the thugs. He wasn't dumb enough to charge 3 men who probably made a living breaking big rocks into smaller ones without Berrus and the others holding their attention first. Kor reached out through his mental link and summoned Mimi into the air 30 feet above the party.
Bonus action: Hide (Cunning Action)
Stealth: 4
Action: recall familiar from pocket dimension Find Familiar
If you are on fire, you gotta stop, drop and roll! It takes a entire turn, but you won’t be on fire anymore, or you could just choose to tackle charge the enemy while on fire.
Val and Mav it is your turns still! If you are on fire, take a D4 Damage before your turn starts. Also Kor, if you decide to go ahead with that turn, that’ll be your entire turn 3. You have a chance to retcon it since were still on turn 2.

Valathar shouts aloud at the explosion of fire. He was never particularly fond of fire, and this instance was no different. Throwing his cloak off, he falls to the ground, rolling around, flailing to extinguish the fire.
