"Dancer here has some experience speaking with people. Why don't you say hello! Don't be scared, her bark is worse than her bite."
Valathar watches the boy and his interactions with Dancer. Was he some kind of natural born magician. And if his mother could speak with them as well, she might be more than she seems.
The boy in all his excitement somehow missed the scarred wolf. His eyes bug out upon seeing the She-wolf that’s bigger then he even is, but he dosent seem intimadated in the slightest. In fact he’s smiling, and tenitvely holds his hand out for the wolf to smell.
Dancer sniffs it, more to put on a show for him then anything else. She always seemed unnaturally smart for a forest critter, even when not under the influence of sylvan magic. The boy pets the wolf, careful not to irritate the cursed burns, and mummbles “what a good girl” into her white-silver fur. Dancer looks smugly at the party, happy to receive praise from the small boy.
"She seems to like you. That's good! Now, could you show us to your Mother? She offered my friends a bed for the night, and we're eager to take her up on that offer. Please, lead the way." Valathar hands Dancer's leash to Carp, scuffling the hair on his head as he did so. "So, how long have you been able to communicate with these animals? That's quite a feet for someone your age!"
Animals and the people that talk to them are more of Val's speciality than mine.
Kor stays near the front of the group so that the first thing Qelline sees isn't a strange 6 foot tall dragon man walking into her tiny house, but otherwise differs to Val for conversation. He periodically checks in with Mimi to ensure they weren't followed.
Mav chuckles at the boy, "My name is Mav. You know, I've never tried to lift a tree. Maybe another day we can try. for now let us go inside where we can talk more... Is your mother around?"

From the middle of the grassy mound, a slightly small door that seems to magically blend into its surroundings opens up to reveal a intimidating looking three foot tall woman with a flour roller dangling dangerously in her hand. She looks at most of you with suspicion for being around her son, before her eyes light up in recognition at Kor.
Quelline is a striking women who looks to be somewhere in her late twenties. Despite being a single mother and a hard working farmer, she maintains a youthful visage. With her coppery hair worn up in a single messy bun, and a touch of flour on her cheek, she stares sternly at Carp, looking like a old western school teacher.
“Carp, diddnt I say to run straight to the door if ANYONE approached the house, even friends?” She then turns to the squirrel and addresses it like she was speaking to another person- “And you, weren’t you supposed to be on the look out when you were playing with him?” Those of you who would bother to notice would see the squirrel pull off its best apologetic look.
She then turns to the party, looking at each of you in turn
”Kor, it’s good to see you again, and so soon! These must be your friends, quite the respectable looking-“
She freezes in her tracks, wide eyed like a deer when she focuses on Val. She looks like she recognizes you, and a dusting of red touches her cheeks as she sputters out-
”O-oh, um, Val, Right? Oh right! You might not even remember me, Thundertree was filled with so many halflings, but only one dragon born, ha-ha.” She finishes weakly, looking throughly embarrassed.
Quelline’s cheeks flare up once more, and she takes Carp’s hand to frog march him back to front door. You all hear her talking over her shoulder.
”Yes, inside! We will go inside! You are all invited for second lunch, though don’t feel like you have to eat! I know some people are fine with only three meals a day, tea’s on the kettle!”
Most of you will have to stoop to get into the low doorway, and descend a few stairs but the house open up enough for you all to comfortably stand once your in. The household seems to be made up of circular rooms that are set deep in the earth. Windows near the ceilings of the rooms seem to be at around grass level outside, and the rooms are covered in rich dark brown and golden wood flooring and paneling. Comfy furnisture that seems to be well above the average grade of young farming family is everywhere in the house, but there seems to be little personal belongings anywhere. You all hear a tea kettle whistling a few rooms off, and Quelline instructs you all to follow Carp to a dining room while she hurries off towards the kitchen.
“Mum always said to try to get 12,000 calories a day to grow up to be a big strong adventurer!” Carp exclaims, pulling out a toy wooden sword and waving it menacingly (extremely adorably) in the air.
AB pulls one of his swords and angles away from the table, but remains seated. "En garde!" he challenges Carp, brandishing his sword at the boy, but smiling with a big grin.
“Carp! I don’t know how you keep sneaking those toys into the dining room.” Qelline sighs, a loose strand of coppery hair falling out of her loose bun and into the flour spot she never got to cleaning. She’s holding a steaming tray of a beautifully cooked whole chicken.
“Sorry for the wait boys, can anyone help me get the other nine trays? I would have prepared more, but I diddnt know I’d be having guests over!”
For now it seems peace has found the party. Berrus can’t spot any obvious signs of persuit, and Qelline seems to glow with a maternal aura of peace and protection that puts all of you into ease.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kor smiles at the halfling, sits down at the knee high table, and stares pensively into his drink as he ponders the current situation. He telepathically remains Mimi to stay alert for anyone approaching the farm and absently eats some of the offered food. "Well Qelline, sorry to impose like this so suddenly, but here's the situation..." Kor then describes what he knows of the fight he wandered into with the others, explaining how they killed one of the Red's enforcers, and evaded the pursuit of three others with the help of a mysterious warrior.
"Now we don't mean to stay here long, we'll be gone in the morning to take care of some things outside the town," he then explains the orc and undead quests they received from Daran. "Hopefully, things will have died down a bit when we get back. Then we'll look into taking care of Glasstaff."
