“We should bring them with us. We don’t know when or if we will be back. Can you tell m which circle brings us where? Is the circle Sam stands in where we are to go next?”
"99.9% accurate? Well we face worse odds than that every time we draw steel, and we this line of work sees us doing that plenty. What do you think, Vin? Seen enough that you and Muir could whip us up a couple of these back home?" With that, Gewyn prepares to step into the circle.
Elthana stands towards the back, a bit impatient herself as the questions go back and forth. She was ready to go, but understood if they wanted to grab the Rocs, but left that up to the others to figure out. Her head was swimming as it was.
Muir smiles at Gewyn who clearly noticed Muir taking it all in. Muir then senses the others need to get going "If you would all like to go on while I get the rocs, I understand. It may take a minute with the dangers outside. Please do not wait on my account."
"I am not sure I would have anywhere near the smarts to create something like this. It is certainly fascinating though.I have heard tell of items that can make you magically smarter. Maybe if we find one of those", Vin replies to gewyn.
"The rocs are on the outer shell, it takes hours to get there and back. I think it would be best if they are sent on after us", he says as Muir and Elthana discuss getting the rocs. "Ingram, could you retrieve our rocs and Ömertyr's pack and follow along? They are very important to us".
Muir nods "I just hope that the rocs follow Ingram. Remember they are wild animals that have befriended me. Perhaps something from my person that they will smell me scent will put them at ease...."
Ingram's giddy smile slowly falls from his face, "me? Woah, no no no. I can send Some of my guys to pick up your stuff but it might take a while, you reckon the rocks can carry the pack? That might make it quicker... Hmmm. Muir gimmie what you can if you think it'll help and I'll have the boys off duty see what they can do before their shift starts. Sound good?"
In the Giant language Sam asks Ömertyr “Do you know where we are going at all? Would going to see the Giants be closer from there or here?” Basically Sam catches Ö up on the plans and the pack / Rocs issue. Sam is looking to see if it would make more sense to return rather than going further from Ginro…
"The big man says his pack can stay here," Sam adds in common after a brief discussion with Omertyr. "He figures it's safer here, for the time being, and he can come back for it..."
Muir hands over some spare clothes to help them entice the rocs. "You don't have any druids or anyone with magic that can speak to animals per chance? That would make this a bit eaiser"
"druids? No I don't-" Ingram begins before the shadar-kai operator raises s finger to interrupt "ahm, we have some with druidic arcane, research in all areas and the like, I could have someone beamed here if you wish?"
"No you don't have any druids but you have some who study the druidic arts....Yes beam one to me so I may speak with them and instruct them in this delicate situation. I would hate for someone to become bird food"
"Yes, let's spend a few hours or days or weeks instructing our friends on the delicate care and tending to Rocs," Sam chimes in with some veiled exasperation. "It's not like there is a vampire war going on or anything...." That said he looks dramatically at where his watch will be once such contraptions are invented and rolls his eyes pointedly.
Elthana waits, but finds it a bit amusing as Vin tries to get this man to delay his trip to teleport even longer. But she is glad that Muir is going to go with them and not wait for the Rocs.
And then Sam... but she understands where he is coming from. She can feel the seconds tick by as they stand around discussing this.
Vin sighs, everything seems to have to be acrimonious, even when the solution is quite simple.
"We don't have to wait here, this person of yours that knows the druidic ways is on Ginro, right?", he asks the scientist. "So it would be just as easy for Muir and they to chat there before they beam across, right?".
As Ingram and Sam wait within the large runic circle, Ömertyr senses where this is going and steps forward, the shadar-kai gives a warm nod at Vin's solution and begins preparing herself to cast.
Ingram ushers his griffon forward with a gesture and it too takes its place within the circle.
As the group make their way within the runic bounds, the shadar Kai performs the spell and the sphere above you all begins to glow, the light is bright, consuming your vision and then...
A sudden jolt lifts everyone's stomach up into their throats as you feel like you are in freefall, not knowing which way is up, not knowing how to balance yourself, limbs flailing, head rushing, vision blurring.
The ground appears first. Your feet on something solid and your vision returns with a lurch.
Sam, is the first to properly take in the room, it seems at a glance that the group has not moved at all but the people in the room have changed, the shadar-kai woman is gone, and instead in her place is an elf with faintly pale blue skin, they speak something in auran into a sending stone and regard the group with warmth. Ömertyr and Ingram also seem completely unphased by the entire experience, Ingram seems to still be giddily grinning ear to ear. But the rest of the group feel violently ill, their stomachs still lurching here and there trying to gather itself, legs are wobbly. Vin is the only one not feeling this bodily revulsion to the teleportation, in fact vin feels not much at all as his vision swims and his link to Neferox begins to fail.
Neferox dives to one side shunting Griff out of the way, but managing to give Vin a soft landing as the boy loses his footing and momentarily loses consciousness along with it.
Griff, knocked out of neferox's way, takes a knee and vomits onto the floor.
“We should bring them with us. We don’t know when or if we will be back. Can you tell m which circle brings us where? Is the circle Sam stands in where we are to go next?”

What will happen next time she rests???
Muir smiles at Gewyn who clearly noticed Muir taking it all in. Muir then senses the others need to get going "If you would all like to go on while I get the rocs, I understand. It may take a minute with the dangers outside. Please do not wait on my account."
Elthana turns to Muir, surprised. "We are not leaving without you. Do you need help?"
"I am not sure I would have anywhere near the smarts to create something like this. It is certainly fascinating though.I have heard tell of items that can make you magically smarter. Maybe if we find one of those", Vin replies to gewyn.
