The knocker pauses in thought, its dull bronze face contorting with the effort, "Hmmm, a long, long time indeed. Why young Elf its been so long I cannot remember to be honest." Its face smooths again and then lights up with a smile, "..."and Lady warrior I do apologize, I did hear your question, even if my friend other there did not. The answer to your question is darkness and death, and the center of the Labyrinth!"
The other knocker with the rings in its ears says, "Well well, I see manners have not got any better since our last set of visitors...Its rude not to include someone in a conversation, Hmpf!"
It rolls its large eyes and continues, "No no, don't try to amend, I bet hes on about the darkness and death again, Lefty does love his stories, yes he does..."
Xorin replies to Corvus and is sure he sees the fountain statue wink cheekily at him.
The Left most knocker looks at its neighbor and rolls its eyes in turn, "Such an old stick in the mud, all he guards is ruins, jealousy, pure jealousy, that's all it is....Though a more philosophical mind would describe the things that lie beyond as pure possibility!"
The deaf knocker blows a huge raspberry, "Blah blah blah...pure twaddle I bet!"
Lefty smiles, "Why we both do of course!" He looks at his neighbor ans says, "He is the high road and I am the low road. At least...that is what we have been told. We open out you see and have never seen what lies beyond..."
Ayrlin feels that the door is acting honestly and si really happy to have someone to talk to and indeed trying its best to help.
A winds begins to stir and the grass all around you begins to sway and rustle.
Xorin turns away from the fountain and notes the slight increase in wind. He begins to pay closer attention to their surroundings for anything that might indicate the wind is anything but naturally occurring.

"No boom today. Boom tomorrow. There's always a boom tomorrow" "No power in the 'verse can stop me"
Lefty says, "No young master elf, all who have passed this way have never returned, some have never even bothered to say hello...or goodbye. Few have been a good company as you all have!"
The knocker frowns and looks forlorn, "I am shamed that I have not been more help to you, I suppose you will be going soon...me being such bad company and all."
You're not one hundred percent sure but, you think you see its lower lip trembling.
Corvus moves around the square pacing, seemingly a nervous habit. He moves over tot he fountain and digs a coin out of his pocket. With a ping and a ringing sound he flicks it into the fountain and then sits on the edge and wets a kerchief in the water. He then rubs it on his face and the back of his neck.
In a low grumbling whisper he says, "Torm preserve us and guide us to our enemy."
"Nonsense! " replies Ayrlin to the knocker " You both " he turns to the deaf one so he can reads his lips " are beign of great help and truly wonderful talkers. Tell me my good friend, when you said "darkness and death, and the center of the labirynth... did you mean that in the center of the labirynth we can only find such things, or that we have to cross throught darkness and death to reach the center?"
Once the knocker answers, he will turn, as if he was thinking and will look to the statue in the fountain.
( The objects the statue is carrying... can be taken off it? Investigation if needed: 24 )
The knocker smiles back at Ayrlin and considers the question, "Death may be found in many places in the Labyrinth, but beyond my portal darkness assuredly resides...But those brave souls who dare the dark will find the City at the center and the Keep there in!" It frowns for another short moment, "Or Death!"
Inspecting the statues burden Ayrlin can see that the pose that supports the buckets seems to be tied into the stone of the figure itself, and seems impossible to remove.
“I see. Thank you good sir you are probing to be most helpful! Uf you don’t mind, it seems that we have a choice to make, if you’ll excuse us for a second.
He turns towards the rest
“Gentelment? “ he says pointing towards an empty space. When he passes towards it, he winks to the fountain and mutters “ I am sorry”.
Xorin steps over to Ayrlin after the lengthy conversation with the door knockers, "Well, darkness or death.. or darkness and death. Tough call." he gives a little smirk.

“I would say the same. Darkness and probably death. I am sure that we will be in the Center in no time!” Says Ayrlin coming closer to the statue with Braddik.
It’s been a while since I asked the DM
Can the items above the statue be taken off it?
(I am not sure if I am making the question properly... ) .
Sorry if this was a bit vague. I answered you question about the statue in post 207 above.
"Inspecting the statues burden Ayrlin can see that the pose [I meant pole lol!] that supports the buckets seems to be tied into the stone of the figure itself, and seems impossible to remove."
The statue is solid and no parts are able to be removed.
OOC: So the party wants to move forward through the left door, into the 'underground' darkness?

OOC: My bad sorry.
Ayrlin, looking at the statue drops a silver coin to the fountain
" For a drink when you reach your destination and can relax pal" he whispers to the figure.
He then turns to the doors.
"The other one.. is death first and darkness later... I will say left one is more... death dealying if you know what I mean. On the other hand, I would rather prefer see what is coming for us. Perhaps... "
He faces the left door.
"If I walk in with a rope tied to my waist, would you slam and cut the rope of or would you be kept open? "
